Elaine was sweeter in the early episodes. I find her more likeable.
They were all a lot more chill.
Eh - this version of the show wasn't so exciting, when they started hitting their sweet spot was around season 4 or 5 and the stories were a lot more interesting.
From what I recall Jerry and Elaine ceased being a couple after this episode, with zero explanation. It's like this whole situation never existed. Larry David prioritized being funny over plot consistency.
The only reference was in the next season, “The Pen” when they go to Florida and Jerry tells his parents that they’ve ’tried all sorts of arrangements, but just can’t seem to be friends and sleep together at the same time’
Not so much to laugh on this one.

I mever understood why this show was called the show about nothing they capitalize on it. Lile oh quirky its amazing because its ABOUT NOTHING. Lile wth are you talking about its about a group of friends living in NY. JUST LIKE FRIENDS. Otherwise, THAT show should be about nothing. And so should king of queens. So should every sitcom that takes place in NY
It doesn't mean literally nothing, it's means more like small, trivial things. They have to make it about something of course or else nobody would watch it. 😂

@@jason854656the purpose of marketing is to be memorable, and for Seinfeld, ‘a show about nothing’ worked. It doesn’t literally mean nothing…it was meant in contrast to earlier sitcoms that developed characters over time and could have season-long story arcs.
