@justdanie7613 Bullsh*t. Don’t get it done through them. How could you possibly stand the pain? They absolutely admit you and put you under with anesthesia. Even if you could stand the pain, what if something went wrong, they’d have no way to treat you. Because I’m assuming you mean it would be done in office. You get bloodwork dont first, to check that everything is good and it’s safe for them to proceed, and they even do the whole conforming of your blood type in case you have to get blood. They give you a hospital blood type bracelet that they carefully check against their records before you go under. By the way, don’t get it wet. Don’t even consider it. Go somewhere else.
I have adenomyosis. My uterus is 2 times, sometimes 3 times the size of a normal uterus. Very painful periods, extremely heavy bleeding and pain for 1 week before & after my period. I've had 2 blood transfusions because my body can't recoup the blood loss fast enough and im already anemic. Im scheduled for a D & C in 2 weeks and im so scared. I pray it goes well and is not too painful. Im sick of feeling pain.

I had one done yesterday and it’s my second one. It doesn’t hurt you just feel cramping. It’s like a light period. Please don’t be afraid because they’ll put you to sleep and you’ll wake up in the recovery room very fast.

I had a D&C performed 4 days ago, I woke up from the anesthesia without any pain, I didn't have pain the first day. 2nd day I had a lot of bleeding and cramps, 3rd day was better, so far 4th day has been alot of bleeding and cramps again. I had to get the procedure because I had been bleeding non stop since 8/31/21 and my surgery was on 6/08/22. My bleeding sometimes would get really heavy and I would be bleeding through Tampons and pads within an hour. Sometimes it would be just the littlest blood in a day, but I never stopped bleeding. We tried so many different kinds of birth control but nothing would stop my bleeding... I am still hoping that this procedure will help me in the long run. So far it has been miserable and still alot of bleeding

I just had this procedure, they gave me a pill to treat anxiety as well as inyección with motrin and topical anesthetic in my uterus, you do feel some heavy cramping but I think if you have give birth before you can handle it, get it this done under general anesthesia is viable as well

I had d&c this morning due to abnormal uterine bleeding. I was under spinal anesthesia so I'm awake. After the procedure, I was transferred to recovery room and OBGyn explained the d&c failed. Is there such thing? She said, my cervix isnt open, she tried inserting the instrument but can't. She did not proceed as she was scared to rupture it. Now I'm having doubts if there was a malpractice. Why they gave me anesthetic without checking first if my cervix is dilated? Prior surgery, she asked me to place 2 gelcaps of evening primrose vaginally for every 4 hours. I've done this 3x so 6 caps in total. 😔 I don't know. I'm worried. Now I'm experiencing slight bleeding and painful urination. I'm still admitted and will be discharged tomorrow.
She wasn't able to get specimen so how would I know the cause of my bleeding? She told me we'll just try oral meds and see if my bleeding will be resolved. So there was other option? I wasn't informed. I was told surgery would be the only option 🙄

I had this done back in December 31 2020 due to a miscarriage and very heavy bleeding and large blood clots which I believe were part of fetal tissues and such. It’s now almost 8 months later and still no pregnancy. I’m starting to think the doctor did something so I won’t get pregnant anymore. I’m not going to worry though it’s all God speed and will. You should find a doctor experienced in Ashermans syndrome and get a hysteroscopy done. D and c is a procedure unfortunately that causes a lot of trauma and scarring to the endometrium and prevents pregnancy. Don’t wait pls go see a good doctor willing to check and investigate if you have scar tissue
Yes sadly they say it can affect your chance in getting pregnant. Had one done in 2012 after a miscarriage and haven’t been able to conceive since then. Although this was my second one at this point.

the actual d&c you wont feel any pain since you are under anesthesia. but damnnnnnn! the dilation they put folley catherer to dilate my cervix and wait till its fully open. I swear its like labor pain my legs were shaking, I vomited and crying so much because of pain then the last pain I felt blood follows i thinks it was the embreyo or fetus. I had mis miscarriage by the way. After that no more pain until they do d&c the procedure was really quick not even 20 mins. maybe becuase I already pass the fetus.

kay kay i took it morning and night but it did not open mu cervix even i took estrogen to help open it.. so what my dr did was an evacuation and curettage. it is also d&c.. dr performed it when my cervix was already soft that can insert two tools they used for the operation.. my cervix did not open howver they found a way to perform the operation
How is there not pain management during this.......You are hurting your patient without offering the patient adequate pain management, before, during and after this procedure. this is completely unaceptable

Its really an important procedure in Obs and gynae, especially diagnostic curretage in different conditions like amenorrhea due to PCOD and in cases like endometrial hyperplasia and in condition when a patient is on tamoxifen or with post -menopausal bleeding etc,, this DnC is very helpful in saving the life of a patient by doing timely diagnosis of the condition like endometrail carcinoma.
The last one I had...didn’t feel anything at all...the doctor just woke me up n said his done...but the first one I did in another hospital was so painful that I thought I’ll pass out

I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum 3 weeks ago, but I decided to wait for the gestational sad to pass out naturally. The doctor recommended me to have this D & C because I still have some vaginal bleeding after I passed out, but my miscarriage was incomplete. I was feeling sad about my supposed to be first baby. I had d&c this morning due to abnormal uterine bleeding. I was under spinal anesthesia so I'm awake. After the procedure, I was transferred to recovery room and OBGyn explained the d&c failed. Is there such thing? She said, my cervix isnt open, she tried inserting the instrument but can't. She did not proceed as she was scared to rupture it. Now I'm having doubts if there was a malpractice. Why they gave me anesthetic without checking first if my cervix is dilated? Prior surgery, she asked me to place 2 gelcaps of evening primrose vaginally for every 4 hours. I've done this 3x so 6 caps in total.
😔 I don't know. I'm worried. Now I'm experiencing slight bleeding and painful urination. I'm still admitted and will be discharged tomorrow.
She wasn't able to get specimen so how would I know the cause of my bleeding? She told me we'll just try oral meds and see if my bleeding will be resolved. So there was other option? I wasn't informed. I was told surgery would be the only option 🙄

I had this done back in December 31 2020 due to a miscarriage and very heavy bleeding and large blood clots which I believe were part of fetal tissues and such. It’s now almost 8 months later and still no pregnancy. I’m starting to think the doctor did something so I won’t get pregnant anymore. I’m not going to worry though it’s all God speed and will. Good bless everyone who has gone through this or will in the future. I would of preferred to not f go through with it but it was necessary in my case I was going through a as bag of pads a day with diapers for more coverage. Was very awful and painful experiences. For the next 3 months after procedure I had horrible ovary pain that I had never experienced around my ovulation days.

You should find a doctor experienced in Ashermans syndrome and get a hysteroscopy done. D and c is a procedure unfortunately that causes a lot of trauma and scarring to the endometrium and prevents pregnancy. Don’t wait pls go see a good doctor willing to check and investigate if you have scar tissue
Yes sadly they say it can affect your chance in getting pregnant. Had one done in 2012 after a miscarriage and haven’t been able to conceive since then. Although this was my second one at this point.

the actual d&c you wont feel any pain since you are under anesthesia. but damnnnnnn! the dilation they put folley catherer to dilate my cervix and wait till its fully open. I swear its like labor pain my legs were shaking, I vomited and crying so much because of pain then the last pain I felt blood follows i thinks it was the embreyo or fetus. I had mis miscarriage by the way. After that no more pain until they do d&c the procedure was really quick not even 20 mins. maybe becuase I already pass the fetus.

kay kay i took it morning and night but it did not open mu cervix even i took estrogen to help open it.. so what my dr did was an evacuation and curettage. it is also d&c.. dr performed it when my cervix was already soft that can insert two tools
they used for the operation.. my cervix did not open howver they found a way to perform the operation
