I think some braiders wait to braid down due to preference. I'm guessing it takes them less time to finish and just knowing/relieved that they're done....and all they have to do is braid the ends. I'm a braider and I must braid down each one. I don't like leaving it loose until I finish the whole head and then go back and braid the rest down. To me personally, it's taking up more of my time🤷🏾♀️

It’s all about the parting. Brick parting works best for these types of braids. They fill in the spaces just like if you were laying bricks to make a wall.

Actually, it almost seem like a waste of time to braid all the way down sometimes cuz by the time I am finished, some of the braids start coming loose anyway! ♥ ♥ ♥

I just did medium size box braids to test adding the ombré color with 2 on top and the ends 33 30 27 and like an 8?! Lol it took me alllll day 😂😂 but I goda say it came out nice!!

Sitting while braiding down is the only reason I wait. These styles are time consuming and anytime there's an opportunity to relieve stress on my body while working that's what I'm going to do, especially as I age.

I didn’t think about bringing it but I wish I did. Wasn’t too bad though bc im only taking 1-2 clients a day.
