This was so helpful and clear! 2 rows for the nape to ear, 10 rows in the front. 5 rows from the back/ear to the top of the head lining up to the front braids. Boom! I've been getting lost on my daughter's head, and think it's because I don't part the front first, as you mentioned.
Yes especially the back! Today I was suppose to finish parting so I can start braiding tomorrow ...girl when I tell you I only have 1 part in my head and I’m in bed rn I ain’t lying 😂😂😂
I love this so much.. I am a new braider so getting my parts the same size is a struggle and finishing at a good time too... I braided my sisters hair and my usual 8 hour process definitely cut down to a 5 hour process..
Had to come back to this video because i’ve been getting hella discouraged when it comes to my overall braid sizes 😭 I try to keep them consistent per each client but every client has a different head shape and I try to make whichever size they want fit the size of their head*if that makes sense* Thank you !! 💕
Thank you so much! So, so helpful. Did this on my freshly washed, unstretched hair and did the quickest, cleanest parts I've ever done in my entire life. Like not super quick, but for someone who's extremely slow, two hours on my own unstretched hair is a major feat. Starting at the front was a game changer.
LORD YOU BRAID FAST THAT IS SO AMAZING AND THE WAY YOU SLIK THEM PARTS GIRL NEAT CLEAN WOW !!! VERY CLEAN EASY TO EACH PART U BRAID I BRAID MY OWN HAIR BUT U DO A FANTASTIC JOB THOUGH!!!🌸🌸🌸🌼🌼
I like that she acknowledged her misstep and told us what not to do. That's real. Cuz we already know we gonna be braiding for a minute and the last thing we need is to be doing something over or not liking how something turned out after standing there for hours.
I kinda like the smaller in the back to give the braids some fullness in the back. Your top parts matching your back part explanation make a lot of sense.
I love u so so much for this omg I’m trying to back to my braiding an i always give up because i take so long trying to get my parts perfect then when i think they are gonna be perfect i get down to my last like 3-4 braids an they are always so dumb an awkward 1 may be to big an so on an I’m jus like wow jus wow i wish i would have watched this a long time ago geez u just boosted my confidence girl i appreciate this !
First, I freaking love you. Inspired me to jump into a braiding career myself and so far it's been a blessing. But question, What Cosmetology school did you attend? I'm currently looking to expand my skillset.
I went to Paul Mitchell but I would def encourage you to do research on your own so that you can find a school that is suitable for what you want to learn.
I like this video. If you're pressed for time, you can pre part day 1 and braid on day 2. The only change I would make is to braid the back all in the same direction for a side pony...
Im gonna try this next time I do someones hair! Im so thankful you did the WHOLE head! All the videos I tend to find only shows brick laying in the back and I really struggle with how parts should look in the middle and front of the head
About to do knee length, medium sized knotless on my daughter, and I definitely have an issue with parting and consistency at times (especially if I flat out don't wanna braid.....sidebar, I'm not a braider, just a mom of 3 young ladies, and 2 granddaughters, so it has to be done, in otherwords.......although I know how to braid well, I hate doing it, if that makes sense) anywho, I will definitely be trying this pre parting method on my oldest daughter this week just to see if this helps with my overall aversion to doing hair in general 🤦🏾♀️....anything that makes braiding more tolerable is worth a try
I have bin on your channel for a while and you are blessed. Thankx so much for what you do. Stay true 💖💜 an oh btw you recommend this product called Silicon Mix for my short hair and it's good. I have bin trying eveything to get my natural texture back, and girl my testure is coming back so thankx so much.
As a rule I don’t pre part bray but like you said it’s good if people are having problems with consistency. It’s a cool idea but I don’t think that I would be using it myself. I love you and the end look was so gorgeous and the colors were poppin! ❤️✨💋✨❤️✨💋✨❤️✨💋✨❤️✨💋✨❤️✨💋
Pana, this was very helpful to me. Thank you so much hun. Also, I love all of your videos. Keep up the amazing work. Beautiful blessings to you Pana. ❤😊
Did you crochet the ends of hair into the braids before doing th box braids?? Silly question I know but I'm trying to get a braiding pattern for my own hair and so far the only ones I've tried seems like the back is my struggle and always so thick and feels bulky to me. This pattern doesn't seem to leave the back bulky.
How everybody get in the comments so fast ?⚡⚡⚡⚡ I stopped watching another video to see what Pana was dropping. And its knowledge as always. Free braiding game. 👩🏽🏫
How much did you charge? Im a beginner at braiding but im good , its the prices for me 😭 I don’t like feeling like im over charging but im always told im not
I used this parting technique today and it cut my braiding time down by two hours
Yessss i love hearing this !
Wow

Anybody else suck at parting?
Juss me?
It’s Gabby me too with my own part
Latoya Johnson same
Yes especially the back! Today I was suppose to finish parting so I can start braiding tomorrow ...girl when I tell you I only have 1 part in my head and I’m in bed rn I ain’t lying 😂😂😂
I know I do. Pans got hands! ☺😊
i can't part my hair either LOL
Great job. I also pre part my clients as well. However I don’t braid them down. I use clips. It’s way faster. Usually like 15-20 minutes at the most.
Me too... I use a small very secure clips.
WHAAA it took my two hours to part😭😭 do you have any tips?
@@mysister3404 while it takes me one day 😂
Watching you part is hella satisfying.
That's one of the main reasons why I watch Pana
Fr
Dammit Pana‼️ This is EXACTLY what I needed. There’s room for us all...thanks for leading the way 💋
I love this so much.. I am a new braider so getting my parts the same size is a struggle and finishing at a good time too... I braided my sisters hair and my usual 8 hour process definitely cut down to a 5 hour process..
Free game😩literally my favorite braider. Such an inspiration
Girl this is a great idea. I never thought to do this on my clients !!!
This just helped me so much. Doing my first set of braids tomorrow & for the life of me, I couldn’t find a good parting video!! Thank you!!

Had to come back to this video because i’ve been getting hella discouraged when it comes to my overall braid sizes 😭 I try to keep them consistent per each client but every client has a different head shape and I try to make whichever size they want fit the size of their head*if that makes sense* Thank you !! 💕
I pre-parted my hair the last time I did braids and it took me much less time than it usually did.. 😊
You helped me a lot because I've done the back first then the front but now seeing this video I understand it a lot more thanks 💕
Thank you so much! So, so helpful.

You have changed my braiding game with this video. I was getting much better with parting but this video totally made it click for me 💯. Thank you 🙏!!
Personality I start from the back then work my way up🤩
This is why recording is great, you can watch over and reflect which is making you better!!
I’ma do this to help when braiding my own hair. Thanx Pana!
Ima huge fan💕💕Sending lots of love to everyone and stay safe💞
Same to you♥️
Same to you
LORD YOU BRAID FAST THAT IS SO AMAZING AND THE WAY YOU SLIK THEM PARTS GIRL NEAT CLEAN WOW !!! VERY CLEAN EASY TO EACH PART U BRAID I BRAID MY OWN HAIR BUT U DO A FANTASTIC JOB THOUGH!!!🌸🌸🌸🌼🌼

Pana can you please do a cornrow tutorial on natural hair
Those pink and purple braids are everything 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
This is exactly how I have been parting for years. Everytime I try to switch it up I can't. This way is better because of it's versatility.
I braid hair and I think this is a GREAT idea. Thank you so much. I’m definitely going to do this tomorrow on my clients hair
Can you do a video on pre parting for small knotless this one was super helpful!
I’m so encouraged to see that you have so much experience and still see “ hmm should have done that better” bc I’m just starting out and whewww
I feel like we always see our own flaws. I try and be as transparent as I can with you all and with myself.
This was so clear, easy to follow and very useful.
Wow I was just thinking about if you could pre part for knotless box braids but then Pana cane through 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you so much boo! This is a much needed video. It’s not really any parting videos on YT

Please could you also do a parting tutorial for jumbo knotless box braids? It would be highly appreciated
fasho.
But wait, your pre-parting looks like a style in itself. I’d make a bun with the loose ends and think I was real cute
Right 😂🤣
That would be kinda cute lol
This is the best parting video I have thus far, and I have watched a lot. So thank you for the video!!!
I’m watching every Pana Video period
Honestly Panna’s intro already has my like lol
Pana, thank you for all your parting videos and you are most definitely a lifeline💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
I’m so glad you made this video I am not good at parting
Such a great video! How many parts in the front for small braids?
I suck at parting! I have to use the comb to measure braid to make sure their even.
I like this video. If you're pressed for time, you can pre part day 1 and braid on day 2. The only change I would make is to braid the back all in the same direction for a side pony...
I have been plaiting my own hair for 6 years and when I pre part it, it takes a good 5-6 hours off for me.
Im gonna try this next time I do someones hair! Im so thankful you did the WHOLE head! All the videos I tend to find only shows brick laying in the back and I really struggle with how parts should look in the middle and front of the head

Silly question I know but I'm trying to get a braiding pattern for my own hair and so far the only ones I've tried seems like the back is my struggle and always so thick and feels bulky to me.
