You can tell he broke down when he was talking about his dad in the beginning, he still carries a lot of Trauma. Thank you Mr Kamonye for telling your story cos it's a story that we need to hear, what we learn in schools is not even close to the actual truth. When you get into our past as a people and nation it's clear to understand we as a Nation and People do suffer from Generational Trauma and Historic Trauma. An issue we don't even talk about.
Hii there my former Kahugu-ini School mate. I am Wanyoike Gakunju and your Dad was our teacher. Nice for your recap of those day. Will follow up all your posts. Shukran 👍
Yes Wanyoike Gakunju: it may a long time but knew your family. This backgound explains my involvement in the second liberation struggle as a Nyayo Torture Chambers survivor.
My husband cousin called Martin WA munyu githiora your age studied in fast tz Univ u r from gatundu am happy my dad was along serving d o I gatundu during Kenyatta's era he was Herman muraya from mangu gatundu North I love your story cos of my background
I like this narration for it clarity, objectivity and factuality. Is it that Kenyatta had lost his piece of land during his detention just other detainees and that he demanded it back from the Governor? I read this from a history book.
Kenyatta ain't kenyan so he lost no land coz he didn't hv any, went to settle in gatundu where his wife came from,hv you or do you know any of his family members apart from his brother??
You can tell the lever of dissatisfaction of how land and mental injustice happened then and how it still affects us but we have never talked or solved this issue. I believe one day, there shall arise a mosed.
As a teacher and as a son of a teacher, you have a lot of responsibility to look at the education system in Kenya and see it is flawed. And the entire education system is in chaos, actually it has been in chaos. All teachers I know in Kenya are not only least learned, but equally arrogant and ignorant. They all act with authority but NONE of them was admitted to University.
@@maumauchronicles4296 you are welcome. I'm an architectural 3d modeler , and quite passionate about it, especially the cultural aspect of it. if you guys are interested I can help make animations like the village life scenario to better help, tell these stories
I agree, you can tell the fambleness that is around his mouth. The muzzle mouth is a reflection of how we are still in psychology sociology economic muzzled.

But none of us in English Paper 2 would ever have imagined you were involved in all that clandestine activity. The press astonished us.
I like kamonyes eraborative grammar mastery n the experience to breakdown this piece in layman language like me to digest.

It is true that Kenyatta's land had been taken by the colonial authorities, just like everyone else', but he increased the size after independence.
All land in Kenya had become crown land in 1920
Kalenjin here where our grandfathers were sold back a small portion of their land and remaining handed to Kikuyus.
This is not coherent.
You can tell the lever of dissatisfaction of how land and mental injustice happened then and how it still affects us but we have never talked or solved this issue. I believe one day, there shall arise a mosed.
It is OK to empathise
The question I always ask myself
This channel gives you all the perspectives.
