I appreciate the effort that Brant puts in. Driving all the way to south florida, booking into hotels for days... I am sure he has pressing matters back home. But this is just part of the reason that this is my favorite youtube channel.

Brant, let me explain what's going on.
The sun was in a low light position and the water level was just right and the temperature was falling. Deer season over and hogs running around in the swamp clouding things up. But most importantly those Bass looked up through that clear water and saw that FSU hat you wear and said, " No Thanks, that is an ugly ass hat!"
So biologically speaking that is what happened!!
Love the videos, keep em coming.
Good luck in the RE market this year.

Pretty cool how the incredible amount of experience that you have lets you place your cast (most times) exactly where it needs to be!
Very much appreciate the hard work that you go through to bring these quality vids to us! Yeah, most people, myself included think fishing is a pleasure, and it DEFINITELY IS, but needing to add the editing, etc, makes it work.
Your dedication and Melanie's assistance and sacrifices are much appreciated!

Love your content, Brant. Got me a shirt and coffee cup ordered ! I'm in Louisiana, and springtime fishing is so close. Getting geared up. As a kid, I lived in Milton, and I would love to get a beach fishing trip booked.

Brad, if you think about it, what are the bass doing this time of the year, particularly in your warmer winter weather there? They are very likely to be protecting their eggs or breeding territory. When means, salamanders are their main or primary targets. Salamanders have a tendency of eating their eggs. Therefore, try some salamander plastics instead. Good luck.😊

hey brant, awesome video. my suggestion would be to downsize the size of the hook with the shiners. this time of year the peas seem to be finicky, so i like to use size 6 J hooks 🤙

I am going to use your videos on South Florida to plan a "I'm retired and can do what I want trip" Fondest memories were fishing in Guantanamo when much younger. Hopefully the snook, tarpon, and different tropical fish especially the snappers will be a trip down memory lane. Appreciate the videos!!

Up here in north Fl, especially in some of the more secret spots, the bass are smart enough not to touch anything that’s to easy. Like live bait in clear water where the bait doesn’t try to escape. Tie on a lure and sometimes that’s the trick, as backwards as it sounds.

think itd be super cool to take an old lens out of an older set of the glasses and strap it to the chesty so that maybe we can also see these fish in the water. no idea if id work but would be a neat experiment.
