I appreciate the effort that Brant puts in. Driving all the way to south florida, booking into hotels for days... I am sure he has pressing matters back home. But this is just part of the reason that this is my favorite youtube channel.
You started out saying “something that we are gonna do different today is” and I wanted you to say “not lock the keys in the rental car” lol that was not good that day. 😊
Brant, let me explain what's going on. The sun was in a low light position and the water level was just right and the temperature was falling. Deer season over and hogs running around in the swamp clouding things up. But most importantly those Bass looked up through that clear water and saw that FSU hat you wear and said, " No Thanks, that is an ugly ass hat!" So biologically speaking that is what happened!! Love the videos, keep em coming. Good luck in the RE market this year. GO GATORS Love the channel Devin Thomas
Pretty cool how the incredible amount of experience that you have lets you place your cast (most times) exactly where it needs to be! Very much appreciate the hard work that you go through to bring these quality vids to us! Yeah, most people, myself included think fishing is a pleasure, and it DEFINITELY IS, but needing to add the editing, etc, makes it work. Your dedication and Melanie's assistance and sacrifices are much appreciated!
Love your content, Brant. Got me a shirt and coffee cup ordered ! I'm in Louisiana, and springtime fishing is so close. Getting geared up. As a kid, I lived in Milton, and I would love to get a beach fishing trip booked.
Brad, if you think about it, what are the bass doing this time of the year, particularly in your warmer winter weather there? They are very likely to be protecting their eggs or breeding territory. When means, salamanders are their main or primary targets. Salamanders have a tendency of eating their eggs. Therefore, try some salamander plastics instead. Good luck.😊
hey brant, awesome video. my suggestion would be to downsize the size of the hook with the shiners. this time of year the peas seem to be finicky, so i like to use size 6 J hooks 🤙
I am going to use your videos on South Florida to plan a "I'm retired and can do what I want trip" Fondest memories were fishing in Guantanamo when much younger. Hopefully the snook, tarpon, and different tropical fish especially the snappers will be a trip down memory lane. Appreciate the videos!!
Up here in north Fl, especially in some of the more secret spots, the bass are smart enough not to touch anything that’s to easy. Like live bait in clear water where the bait doesn’t try to escape. Tie on a lure and sometimes that’s the trick, as backwards as it sounds.
I have the same mini Avengers rod haha. I keep it in my trunk and if I’m near water and have some time in between clients, I throw some casts out there. My go to is a Panther Martin Spinner. It’ll catch anything.
think itd be super cool to take an old lens out of an older set of the glasses and strap it to the chesty so that maybe we can also see these fish in the water. no idea if id work but would be a neat experiment.
Back in the day I used to fish the golf course ponds . There was one pond that had huge bass in it, but the water was so clear all you could use was a golden eagle claw hook and the minnow , no split shot nothing.
I use to do a good bit of fishing on alligator Alley motel 6 at Naples inside and out on Davis Street,,,,, but what I used a lot of uncooked bacon,,, but try it me know
Brant I’m planning on going there end of this week. Can you recommend any areas along 41 or the 29 interchange? Looks awesome Hoping to see a catch and cook Oscar or Cichlid
Did you catch that Warmouth with a Culprit “Fire and Ice” plastic worm? It sure looks like it. That’s the only plastic worm that I can get bass to bite!
I’ve only been fishing for like 68 years and I’ve never caught a bass that I could see. They are ambush hunters and when just lazing about in sight they rarely if ever bite!
I'm getting ready to watch this video. But I hope you had your keys in your pocket this time, brant. Isn't this the same place where you locked yourself out of your car.
Alligator Alley motel 6 at Naples myself paint the guys that painted with me,,..,,..we painted the inside and out,,..,,..,. sorry had left out some words and already sent the other text,,,...,..... hopefully this one will be right on top of the other one
That's not actually true. To become an insider member and get access to everything is 12$ a month. I didn't advertise everything. I only talked about the tides platform which is free.
I think the bass subscribed to your channel, and they're on to you! ;-)
😂

I was thinking the same thing!!!
Peacocks are probably starting to nest.😊

Another great video, thank you
The fishing was a little tough but the perseverance paid off great job Brant
That strike score feature is pretty cool. Great video as always!

Brant.... when I drove a truck... me and my best friend would park where your first spot was at.... great fishing there
Your videos are always so deep and heartfelt. Thank you for your creativity and sincerity!🤪🍿🚲
Thanks for the sweetwater Brant 👍🏻🇺🇸🎣
Kudos to Brant's Dad for planting the fishing bug in him when he was a kid. Well, he's still a kid but when he was a little kid.
Your channel is a source of entertainment as well as inspiration. Please continue to entertain us with your talent!🚦🍎🤔
Great video brant and I see that the bots are thick today ❤❤
Hey, here’s a pro tip, don’t lock the keys in your car on Tamiami Trail while fishing.
The struggle is Real !!! 🧨🧨🧨

I love Everglades ❤😊
Gatorz N ALL 🐊🐊🐊🐸🐠🍤🍤🦈🎣
Those fish have seen shiners for multiple generations. I grew up fishing there. Everyone fishes there with shiners.
Thanks 👍

Maybe try hooking the shiner just in front of the tail. Sometimes that works for me with bass and crappie.
Hard to say. If some Bass are starting to bed. They won’t eat.
Brant, that is why it is called "fishing" and not "catching". Plus, if you can see them, they can see you. They've probably been there done that.
My personal highlight was 10:37, because we don't experience that very often here in Europe 🙂

were you on Loop road? That is a fun road with bridges way back in the woods off of Alligator ally.
At one point yes. Pretty cool place
Brant the bass act that way when they are on bed. You have to put the bait in a spot about the size of a basketball.
I have done a lot of bed fishing but there were only a couple bass on the bed like the first one I caught. Most of the fish were in pre spawn.
Don’t lock your keys in the car😊great video
You need to go to the keys and do a weeks fishing trip up and down different keys
Um salve diretamente do Brasil 🇧🇷

Looks awesome

If I was a fish I'd definitely be eating! I can't resist snacks.... especially when they are directly in front of me! 🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥🤟🤟😎😎
Wild caught GOLDEN shiners do best :)
Did you catch that Warmouth with a Culprit “Fire and Ice” plastic worm? It sure looks like it. That’s the only plastic worm that I can get bass to bite!
Yes. I have always liked that bait.
Can somebody please post the video of the time Brant fell down the bank on the side of the road 😂😂😂
I just can't see how you can concentrate on fishing with those gators around , do you carry any sort of protective equipment great video 👍
They're not as scary as people make them out to be. A little situational awareness and common sense and you'll be fine
I want to do that. I was raised on a canal in Davie Florida it had lots of fish but nothing exotic like today
Is that ultralight at 15:17 an uglystick ice fishing rod? Only 3 guides?
Do you think that cold snap has something to do with the fish not eating much ??? 🧨🧨🧨
Watch out for Gators and Police!!!.....Love this stuff.
The pressure is out of wack
Take it from a northeastern usa bass fisherman. Big lizards catch big bedding bass. Anything they see as a threat to thiet eggs gets wacked
Nice!
Can you make a 6hr video soon? I’ll be on a road trip.
I’ve only been fishing for like 68 years and I’ve never caught a bass that I could see. They are ambush hunters and when just lazing about in sight they rarely if ever bite!
Don’t lock your keys up again down there 😂
Filet mignon for a bass is a crawfish…😂
Do you use a loop knot on those x raps? Knots have been my crytonite
Sometimes. I doesn't matter that much.
I'm getting ready to watch this video. But I hope you had your keys in your pocket this time, brant. Isn't this the same place where you locked yourself out of your car.
NEW GAME: Guess what Brent is going to pull up before he does. If you are wrong. Drink. Best of luck to you. XD
Hey try an artificial salamander brown and black .might be good thing
Is the Salt Strong app downloadable from the Play Store? I would like to download to my phone.
Those twenty five fish have all seen a shiner on a hook more than twenty five times already.
One of these days you'll take me up on my offer and I'll show you where the fish are at down here
It’s almost spawn season that’s probably why they aren’t biting they’re too busy looking for a mate
Try a pumpkin seed lizard on the bass
Everyone stops at the same place. Try a difficult spot to fish for better results!
Night crawlers
I guess next time you can sleep in and just go out fishing in the afternoon.
You better check your behind! Cause you have fished your tail off!
First
Haha sucker you were 4th!
if they can see your line wont bite
Domestic shiners don't work near as good as wild shiners.
Maybe your shiners had B.O.
You are in some alright spots but not the best lol I’m from there I can some you some amazing spots
still cant fig how to get the app
I thought they liked frogs
Full moon the night before???

The salt strong is not free. It’s $12 a month.

Might be just before the spring pre-spawn...say that five times fast...springprespawn...
or....Barney Fife would say "crack an egg behind you, while standing on a piece of hydrilla...while facing north...😑
