Imagine having a gaudy 27 story mansion in the middle of downtown Delhi. Some of the poorest people in the world all have to stare at that thing from miles away.
Poor people don’t live in downtown Delhi. Average wages in the city centre/business district are around $40/50k, the poorest of the world don’t live in India anymore, more like Somalia/Yemen. The 27 story mansion in Mumbai is probably what you are talking about. It is near a slum called Dharavi. But funnily enough, the people who live there aren’t actually poor, the development of the surrounding area has inflated the value of the shanty houses there to insane levels. The main problem is converting the shanty homes to freehold titles so they could sell takes a long time.
@@RRaymer I actually originally typed Mumbai and changed it to Delhi, the issue is still the same. The level of income disparity in India is absolutely insane.

I think Buffet is the model of made man. He lives in the same house he bought back in the day. He has breakfast via McDonald's drive through each day--and he uses coupons. When the grandkids were young, he would take them to Dairy Queen each weekend for treats.
Musk asks interesting questions about the world, universe, mankind. The clip really downplayed what a monster his father was/is. Pretty significant domestic violence there--which explains some of his more broken personal life choices. His recent purchase of Twitter seems to have triggered the megalomania. Some of the more sordid stories that came to light via his association with Amber Heard --seems creepy. Including having lots of kids, but not actually parenting--what is that about?
didn't Musk's father also fathered 2 kids with his daughter in law? so Musk's step sis is also his step mom and mom to his half bother/sisters? it all gets a bit confusing. but they both want to seed the planets it seems. do people still value honor these days?

Castle's suck. Most people that inherit them never even bother with anything other than selling them off as soon as possible.
If I had billion dollars, I wouldn't keep it all. First I would pay off all of my bills. Next, I would buy a couple hundred acres and put a log cabin style house in the middle. I would get me a few vehicles. Some for travel and some for local errands. I would set up an escrow account for taxes and any utilities. Next, I would give a couple million to each of my two kids and my brothers. Next would come close friends and cousins. We have no aunts, or uncles left. Then I would set up scholarships for rural and inner city kids to go to trade schools. After that, and I've set up enough to be comfortable for the rest of my life, I'd pick a handful of charities for the rest.

His reasons for leaving could be due to the wokeness at openai so yeah good reason to try to either cleanse the place or start over without a woke mentality present. I mean it’s Musk he helms multiple multi billionaire multi national companies this is probably at most a small side project for him, what he does to pass the time during a trip. SpaceX and Tesla alone the money will be astronomical launching satellites and he’s also building his own internet network so I think he’s good money wise being the richest guy on the planter and all right now.

Imagine having all that money. Its essentially a cheat code in a video game. Whats the point if everything is available and easy? At the same time its sickening. No person needs that much money to live. They should be ashamed. Every homeless and struggling family is an effect of this kind of greed. The more you have the less others do. They will print more money causing its value to go down. So when you get that $1 raise at work inflations already absorbed it.

@@hudavis550 I mean in theory it's the best form of government. The problem is with people. Then you end up with some pseudo-communism like China where everyone is supposed to be equal, yet they have loads of billionaires.
They should not be ashamed. They earned it. To think poverty is simply a hoarding of money is such a misunderstanding of how money itself works. Be ashamed at the gov for not doing their jobs. Elon musk or Larry page do not control the federal reserve , and they certainly aren’t responsible for poverty lmao. Only if the world was so simple.

You see it as a rich man buying yachts because you imagine yourself with the same wealth. Yet a lot of these people built the technologies around you, or leaded their development.
They create jobs, Microsoft employs 221,000 full time workers, Tesla employs 100,000, Berkshire Hathaway employs 383,000, Just between Bill Gates, Elon Musk and Warren Buffet they employ a total of 704,000 people. I mean, the average Microsoft salary is $88,000 per year, not bad. That’s a good career. These billionaires have nothing to be ashamed of, a billionaire probably signs your pay check.
