The director literally said that like Ridley Scott, he thought that the Alien wasn't scary anymore, until he played ALIEN ISOLATION, and that the game was what inspired him to push for a chance to direct this movie. So yeah, ALIEN ISOLATION is entirely sprinkled into this movie. The question is, is the game still canon to the story? I mean, since Amanda "Amy" Ripley is canon because James Cameron said that his Extended Director's Cut is the REAL ALIENS film he intended, and it is now the most seen version, then ALIEN ISOLATION could still be.

This is actually pretty clever. I am kinda looking forward to this movie. At least it’s not one of David’s bio engineered Neomorphs. I actually thought the fact that David created the Zenomorphs was kind of a stupid idea.

Oh my god bro, at first it was mysterious, with the vague trailer. I was impressed and enticed. Now, they have footage, new trailers, new scenes, a VHS release of a long scene, a fucking alien popcorn bucket, it's getting way too overrated.

Yes they retrieved her message, decades before she was found, but she was floating in space for 57 years and "by a stroke of luck" a deep space salvage team found her! Yet we are supposed to believe that a black, man sized creature was spotted in deep space? No signals, no food, no sustinance? Nevermind their insect like life cycles and that it was shot with a harpoon. Lol. It will be a pass from me.
And in Aliens weylan-Yutani claims they have never have encountered such a creature when questioning ripley. You would think this experimental ship would have communicated something to someone, even if the aliens killed everyone. Same s different decade.
Hope this is decent. Have low expectations.

Well I mean, what else can they do besides a soft reboot with new characters? Ripley ain't coming back, and I don't think anyone is begging for the chick from Covenant to come back. These characters are in their early 20s, as were some of the main characters in the original film (including Ripley if I'm not mistaken).

Honestly I'd totally see why skepticism is warranted, but it seems more 'in the spirit' of the original few movies than anything Prometheus or Covenant was cooking up. I still kinda hope that the protagonist is secretly Amanda Ripley though -- it's even halfway there, with her father having passed and left her an android foster father and no mother mentioned. Maybe dad went out to the colonies to look for Ellen and never found her? Viola, it's secretly an Alien: Isolation adaptation!

After having actually seeing this movie in theaters...I can teuly say the Aliens franchise is DEAD!!
The trailer itself was promising and well made but the film Itself was pretty boring and never scary or suspenseful and unnecessary violent.
Nothing tops Alien & Aliens so let it rest.
Deleted Scene #1: Scientists discover Yoko Ono's wailing performance with Chuck Berry is the quintessential kryptonite to life cycle of a xenomorph. But there's a caveat, in the Romulus timeline no amplification speaker system can go past 10. Only speakers 🔊 or amplifiers with volume capabilities of 11 can neutralize a xenomorph.
This is just another waste of film. Modern-day Hollywood is where all great franchises go to die. RIP Alien.

@@arieacosta334 First of all, I wouldn't have made this film. There is already enough material, such as the book, Alien: River of Pain, which is the story of the rise and fall of Hadley's Hope. That's the film I would have made. But, make of that what you will.

According to newly released rumours,the story starts with a spaceship discovering the remains
of the first xenomorph from the alien movie inside somekind of capsule.They bring it to the nearest spacestation and extract it
for eggs which creates the facehuggers.Then the whole spacestation gets infected and all the humans
dies,and leaves a big xenomorph hive behind.
When contact is lost with the other spacestations.A spaceship is sendt to investigate.
Then a battle breaks out,and only one off the investigators manage to escape.
Or did she? In the end we see that she also is infected and she sets the escapepod to self construct,but
before that happens,the escape pod lands on a unknown planet with small humanlike beings,but with grey skin.
And that makes a cliffhanger for a follow-up movie ?

The phase of infection is by its usual ways of destroying. But not only they know how to cut energy, I think they know how to journey in a radio wave vector and lodge the drop space and even command some devices by programming its own spaceship....perfect organism.
So, teenagers and a android are in space and gets killed by aliens.

movie takes place before "Aliens" and no its not nonsense, the alien xeno can actually survive the vacuum of space rewatch the orignal 1979 film, ash mentioned how tough it is and how can adapt to changes of enviroments and called it "a tough s.o.b" and towards the end he calls it "The Perfect Organism" not to mention we literally see ripley jettsoning it into space with a hook gun and it tries to get back into the ship through the purpulsion sysytem. any other living entity dies instantly in vaccum of space seemingly not the xenomorph... same goes for Alien: isolation... we see HORDES of xenos out in the vacuum of space after amanda ripley. honestly the queen alien from aliens could very well be alive and i wouldnt be surprised if the neil blomkamp movie that we sadly never got could have showcased the queen still being alive.
This vid only talks about the movie prelude act, only scratching on the A plot, and not showing one B plot image. It will prolly tie all the properties together by showing how David had his fingers in Ash's brain all along and giving us the origin of the queen along with ties to Amanda Ripley. There are even Aliens: Fire Team Elite easter eggs in it. All my industry friends say it is awesome, and they are all the lower expectation types. Whatever they know, they refuse to tell me, but i have managed to figure a few things out from what i have heard so far. There will be a David(Ash) Plot and a Ripley plot and an old chap plot and a Wey/Yu plot and somehow the last act ties it all to the first movie and lays easter eggs for the origin of the Queen on Hadleys Hope. These are just my assessments based on what i have heard from people who were trying not to tell me anything that is embargoed, so grain of salt. I DO have faith in Fede on this one, and strongly suspect this will not be an "Aliens: Colonial Marines" experience. Also, every one of my play tester friends have promised me i will never guess the surprise at the end.

I watched a video by channel Alien theory explaining the footage from the movie.
This is purely a Copy of some scenes in a used often VHS type format.
These scenes are from the Movie but in the Theatrical Release it will be in HD/UHD

You are indeed wrong, since Ridley isn't a character in the ALIEN saga, Ridley Scott is the director of ALIEN and his last two crapfest films PROMETHEUS and "ALIEN" COVENANT. But Ripley, as in Ellen Ripley is a character and protagonist of the original 4 films, and her daughter's name is Amanda "Amy" Ripley, the star of the game ALIEN ISOLATION and the ALIEN BLACKOUT mobile game.

Personally, I'm excitedly waiting for Alien Romulus to appear and see it. Based on the trailers, it doesn't look that bad.
I form my own opinion about Alien Romulus after seeing the whole movie, and so far I have a feeling that it will not be the worst movie in the Alien franchise.
