It was Bob Marley’s last tour before his tragically early death in May 1981 at the age of just 36. The tour was in support of the “Uprising” album released on June 10th 1980. A few days later on June 13th the live show from Dortmund’s Westfalenhalle was filmed for the famous German music TV series Rockpalast and is presented here for the first time with footage restored to the best possible quality. Bob Marley and the Wailers are on superb form and deliver a set of hit singles and classic album tracks. Marley’s energetic, charismatic performance gives no indication that he was already ill with the cancer that would take his life less than a year later. With very few Bob Marley live concerts available this will be a welcome addition for any fan. (Available 24/11/2014)

And even Bob is on track with everyone! I noticed the emphasis on the "love" in the chorus is done by the women in the back vocals, which at least for me represents this harmony between everyone, without focusing on the "band leader".

I can never get enough of Bob Marley. As a boy in rural South Africa, the first thing I ever bought was a cassette of Kaya followed by Legend a month later. I saved up money from my school pocket money so that I can buy these cassets. I use to listen to them over and over again. I would play rewind and play again. I must have been 11 years old than. Thanks to technology at least now I can just pop into youtube and actually see a video of Bob. I like how he dances here. The band was smoking hot playing in unison like ever. As for the "I Threes" oh my God. I love the I Threes. If I can go back in time I would live in the era of Bob Marley still around and touring. I would go to every show possible. I am 43 now but still I am crazy about him. Jah Rastafari!!

Great Colour, nice film work, brought back memories of my best friend in high school 1979 Mat Brady who saw Bob Marley and the Wailers perform at Festival Hall, Brisbane, Queensland Australia in April '79. My dad wouldn't buy me a ticket, I was 13, MATTHEW went to the concert with his older siblings and I had to wait til Monday morning when he came to school and told me how Bob pulled a spliff out from under his dreads and lit it on stage whilst Queensland Police officers guarded the front row and slowly got stoned from the crowd's ganja smoke and went from stockstill to moving side to side as the concert went on and they breathed in the Smoke and were chilling out lol. I rang my mate Matthew the other day and he told me about the concert he saw again, wonderful to hear him talk of it and this video was a pleasure to watch, thanks for sharing

In 2010, I lived in Westchester NY. My neighbor was the person that discovered Bob Marley. He was big in the music business. They were Hendrix's promoters, they owned the Fillmore East, they new Jim Morrison. They also brought forth the whole new wave era...Blondie, The B-52's, Talking Heads, Eurithmics, etc, ect, ect. He was huge....a billionaire.

I’m never able to make it through this song without crying this applies to so many things in life. My happiest memories with my mom where in the islands listening to his music she died from her addiction but there’s something powerful just saying “I want to love you and treat you right” it can mean I want to heal you, help you give you the love you felt was missing. For me it’s about wanting to heal what’s broken inside someone..
My parents would play this song when I was younger. It reminds me off being young and eager for love. Of family and San Diego. My dads a marine so he was deployed a lot and we lived in housing. Jushua tree. Just barely even realizing how big the world is. Fuck if I could go back dude. I wish we hadn't moved east. Anyways hope all of you are doing well and all.
