in the past it wasn't common among the polyglot community because many find that this pressure is against the nature of language learning and we shouldn't study languages just for the exams but im happy to see that its getting more common! its not that i've been learning spanish for 3 months and now forcing myself to take the c1, i've been more or less familiar with this language since 2020. language exams are a great opportunity to enhance your language skills, as i said in the video nothing else would make me study spanish and even if i go and fail this exam, i improved my spanish a lot compared to the past, and while preparing for an exam you realise how much you were actually supposed to learn :)

Yep but most people learn other languages for fun, or to sustain basic conversations so Its not wrong to learn languages only for fun, and it ultimately depends on your goals, apprently iclal simply wants to be fluent in each one she speaks and its okay. But for example xiaomanyc knows basics of 57 languages and only 3 languages fluently, and its okay because his purpose is to make people smile.
Exams are not particularly relevant. There are many native Chinese speakers who have a high certificate in a foreign language but are not really good at the language. What makes İclal stand out for me is that she goes on podcasts, that she talks to locals or friends in her vlogs and that you can tell from her accent and intonation as well as her flow of speech how well she can actually use these languages in real-life situations. For me personally, that's much better proof than any certificate.

hi Iclal !! your spanish is really really good, given you have studied for a short time. I sat the DELE C1 exam in 2017 and passed. The good thing is 2 of the parts are calculated together and the other 2 as well. So, you do not have to excel in all 4 parts individually, but do well in the 2 groups. This factor helped me pass in my case :)

Acabo de llegar a tu canal tras el vídeo que UA-cam me recomendó en el que apareces con otro políglota. Soy española y actualmente me encuentro estudiando turco de manera autodidacta. Me fascina tu claridad al expresarte en mí idioma aunque no te guste segun dices 😅 y ojalá algun día yo pueda hablar igual que tú en turco (realmente somos dos idiomas opuestos en estructura lo que lo hace fascinante descubrir otros modos de pensar aunque al final no estamos tan alejados unos de otros). Lo que comentas de los mapas mentales considero que son un recurso muy útil en cualquier nivel. Incluso diré que, a mí particularmente, me ayuda muchísimo añadir dibujos en esos mapas mentales. En ocasiones no recordamos una palabra o estructura pero sí recordamos el dibujo o garabato que hicimos junto a esa palabra y de ese modo recuperamos más fácilmente la información que necesitamos. Al parecer cuando dibujamos activamos otras áreas de nuestra memoria.
Por cierto, en la actualidad no hay o yo no encuentro, publicaciones en español que enseñen turco. Corrijo, en realidad, existe un libro que está descatalogado hace veinte años titulado Inci Kut, pero es un caos desde mi punto de vista, ya que no sigue un orden lógico o al menos encuentro frustrante que no tenga reunidos los temas al completo. Por ejemplo, si quieres saber todo sobre el acusativo en lugar de tenerlo todo en un capítulo, te manda a diez o más páginas diferentes no consecutivas, y teniendo el libro más de 500 páginas no ayuda a seguir un aprendizaje lógico y sencillo. Si conoces alguna publicación en español más actualizada te agradeceré inmensamente que me lo indiques para poder adquirirla.

Por otro lado, la presión externa es una motivación extra que te permite avanzar y atravesar barreras. Aplica en todo... Así como cuando compites en un deporte por primera vez mejoras muchísimo, cuando rindes un examen también te fuerzas a mejorar. Quizás no es un método efectivo a largo plazo, pero sí es una gran meta que permite dar saltos en la vida.

En voyant le titre je pensai bien que j'allais t'entendre parler en espagnol. Par contre je m'attendais à un gros accent et des erreurs de grammaire.
Je suis natif espagnol et je vis en France.

Même si vous êtes sans doute depuis longtemps en France, votre niveau de français est d'un très gros niveau ! En tant que natif français, c'est l'espagnol que j'apprends. Et j'espère un jour avoir un niveau d'espagnol comme le votre en français ! Mais il y a des obstacles avec toutes les variétés d'accents en espagnol qu'il faut arriver à comprendre. Et certains accents sont réputés pour être difficiles ! Puis le passé composé, très utilisé en Espagne, alors qu'en Amérique c'est le passé simple, ce qui peut porter à confusion. Le "voseo" dans certains pays d'Amérique est aussi difficile, car il a aussi toute une conjugaison. Et la rapidité de la langue espagnole n'est pas non plus évidente 😅

Bence bunlara bir miktar ara vermek fayda sağlayabilir. Derslerimde benzer şeyleri yaşadığım zaman kendime biraz ara veriyorum o vakitte çalışmalarımla ilgili herhangi bir şey yapmıyorum başka şeylerle uğraşıyorum sonra derslere geri döndüğümde daha rahatlamış hissediyorum ve artık o kadar zor gözükmüyor gözüme. Bende işe yarıyor belki sende de işe yarar.
It's "tanto" in your sentence, actually, not "tan".
We use "tanto" to convey the meaning of "so much" after a verb like the one you used: "¿por qué me estoy estresando tanto?" , and in front of a masculine noun "tanto ruido" = so much noise. "Tan" means "so" and goes in front of an adjective: tan grande = so big

Just out of curiosity in your opinion does Russian share more cognates with Spanish or English? I'm hearing what I think are more cognates between Russian and Spanish but I don't know enough of either especially Russian. And I don't know any German but imagine they share some with Russian and English

echa un vistazo al libro "spanish grammar" de greenfield. eso es lo que realmente uso cuando tengo que repasar la gramática en su totalidad. cada vez paso unas oras leyéndolo y pues todo se vuelve más claro! lo puedes encontrar fácilmente buscando en google

Keşke dil sınavlarının arasına biraz vakit koysaydın. Senin için tam bir “meydan okuma” olmuş bu.Tek zorluk bana göre birbirleriyle yakın sayılabilecek bu dilleri konuşurken birbirine karıştırmamak. Bir dönem Fransızca ders almıştım. İspanyolcam B1 seviyesindeydi o dönemlerde. Derste cümleye Fransızca başlayıp, farkında olmadan İspanyolca bitiriyordum :) Sonra zaten devam edemedim kursa. Bu arada şu “mind map” tekniği ilginç geldi. Bununla ilgili bir videon var mı? Yoksa da müsait bir zamanda Türkçe çekersen faydalı bir içerik olur dil öğrenenler için. Sana tüm kalbimle sınavda başarılar diliyorum, akıcı İspanyolcana Cervantesten öğrendiğin üst düzey kelimeleri de ekleyerek bu sınavı geçeceğine canı gönülden inanıyorum. 😊
aslında dillerin benzer olması şu an aşırı işime yarıyor. fransızcada c2 için öğrendiğim şeyleri direkt ispanyolcaya uyarlayabiliyorum. yapıları da aynı olduğu için kafamdaki tüm sistemi değiştirmeye gerek kalmıyor. fransızca değil almanca sınavım olsaydı iki çok farklı şeyi çalışmak zorunda kalacaktım
