- This track is performed 100% on the Roland SE-02 analog synth, with no external FX/EQ/Compression on the individual channels (touch of mastering for the video upload). That's right, even the drums are created using the Roland SE-02. What an incredibly fat and expressive analog synth! Well done Studio Electronics and Roland!

@Mike Pensini, The best demo so far. What would you say about the noise floor, is there much hiss in this (a lot of the demos so far have been quite noisy, unlike yours)? What audio interface did you use for recording?

Beautiful! I love the little synth, and you make it sound way better than anything I've done on mine. Looks like you're using the user bank for presets. Did you program these, or are they the Bank E sounds that came with the last firmware update?
It's a great instrument! I programmed these - I believe I made this video before Bank E dropped

Music is a small world, i composed a track with the same arpegiatted chords, the same voicings in the same key x) . You such an amazing pianist/Keyboardplayer/musician so its all good haha i feel blessed ( sry for bad english )

Gorgeous! I am so glad you are doing a series of demos on this little beast. You have shown the true potential of this fine little synth. I am sooo pumped to get one of these. Due to some unfortunate circumstances I recently had to sell pretty much all of my synth collection. I am going to be repurchasing soon and I was hoping for a little advice. If you had a choice of either the System 8 or the JD-XA which would you get and why? Please if you have a minute I would appreciate your opinion. I am totally torn between which to get.

Glad you enjoyed it, Cologne Keys! Congratulations on your purchase! This video was filmed quite a while back, so I can’t remember off the top of my head. There were no 3rd party sounds used, everything is either an original patch or a factory patch with a few tweaks :)
This is an excellent exposition of the SE02 Mike. In my final choice of this and a Reface CS I am lucky to have such a difficult choice! And recommendations?

1.) Play the piano for 15 years. 2.) Play moog synthesizers for another 10 years. 3.) Create amazng demo for new moog inspired synth. 4.) Done.
