Space Truckin' is the sound of a band absolutely at the height of it's powers. The drumming is the highlight of the track. It's one of the few Deep Purple songs where I prefer the studio version to the live.
This song fucking rules, it's so energetic, all the parts and details are maximum badass. The singing is badass. Blackmoore is (was) badass. Gillan rips. Drums from hell. It grooves like a mf.
