- This a quick break down of one of my favorite unilateral hamstring exercises: Single leg dumbbell rdl. I love romanian deadlifts for the activation and pump you will feel in your glutes and hamstrings. We do the unilateral version in order to combat the bodies natural tendency to have the stronger side compensate for the weaker.
