Adolph Menjou and Pola Negri are great fun in this film.It's easy to see why it's got such a cult following, as commented below Quentin Tarantino rates this as his no.1 public domain picture. Not sure I would rate it that high with the rich pickings from across the years and genres available. But it's extremely enjoyable with great fourth wall moments such as the double take scene and the directors lady friend appearing in scene after scene for no reason. The ending pre-dates Python and Milligan for a 'How do we get out of this' finale.Good,crazy stuff.

That was a cute movie, the opera reminded me of the Bugs Bunny cartoons. Hehe. A story of girl who marries a guy, who has a father in law that helps them get her mothers money 💰 back. The one line jokes are funny, I laughed through the whole movie! I'd give it 4 Stars ✨

A touch of zany PF but June Havoc steals the scene when she's in them. That much beauty and talent just shines and has a comedic sense as well, great fun to be had.

Such a wonderful film and the cast was incredible. My favorites, Billie Burke (Glinda the Good Witch) and Adolph Menjou, who always added so much class to what they did and to a film. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment. 💝 Thank you for sharing this treasure with us! 💝
Thank goodness this is not madcap, but it is quite a jolly ride almost to silliness. The good guys win in the end. A must-watch.
