I believe the diagonal riders and iron knees only effect the hull hitpoints.
yes. and it grants a little more HP due to that. not bad but honestly not a game changer. once the armor is gone. its GG

diminishing returns no. they all just add together really.

i thought i was supposed to keep books in inventory :( now i right click used them
so that you can apply the book knowledge to the ship you must right click and select use.

Here's a content idea for your "How to NA" on a subject I've yet to see a guide or good video on. PB Mechanics. Starting with the rules governing the how, when and where a nation can plant a flag. This is a huge info black hole for the rank and file player. The best description I've been told is it's not easy to understand. Perhaps you can tackle this and make it a "How to NA Advanced" subject? In the circles I move in I know the questions constantly come up even amongst us veteran players. Much appreciated, oh ye "King of Poland". ;-)
That does sound like a good idea. it is hard to explain and even if I make a video on it im sure that others will criticize me on it haha but again that is why i do these vids. to help noobs and piss off pros ;)

Does breaking up a DLC ship give me back the upgrades? I have additional water-pumps for example and would like to put it on another ship.
No. Once the ship is broken up it will only give you wood. I haven't heard of any changes

Can multiple ships have the same book? I'm not clear on whether each book is a one-time permanent commitment or not.
For modules, can they be removed and put on a different ship or is it a permanent commitment?

Edit: also, can I change which books I selected on a particular ship? Such as if I select one but then later get a better book, can I replace on same ship?
One more question...does ship knowledge go with a ship-type/name or an individual specific ship (e.g., one yacht is not same as another yacht)?
Once you learn the book it becomes part of your captains knowledge, you can use it on any ship as long as you unlock the slot for it
How do you redeem so many DLC Rattvisans at once?
You put one in your fleet. The next day put both in your fleet. Redeem till you can't. Usually no more than 4 I think

where did u get the seeferkel log?
when you sink an NPC ship. you sometimes find a book shelf on it. those shelves sometimes have great books in them. most of the time not but that is where you will find the book. also in golden chests some times.

You switch your perks to have more in fleet.

and i always use all longs unless in PZ then meds on through away ship.
I mean Frame wood for ship oak, teak which is better to use?

so the frame needs to be teak and the planking needs to be either white oak or sabicu is best. but oak works
