Roy worked on my jcm 800 a few years ago. He has magic in him. The amp sounded so much better after he tweeked it.

It's sad to think of all the old components from TVs and HiFis that went into landfills after solid state became the norm. I remember when TV repair shops were all over, and my dad testing tubes for the Zenith console TV.

I have a Blankenship 3x10, 36watt classA, 6switch bright knob, beautiful reverb, tweed covered, Mercury Magnetics transformers, NOS RCA tubes. Built to my exact specs, and custom made Weber 10 inch speakers! Figured spending that much money I went all out with speakers and the tubes. It’s a once in a lifetime amp that will never be sold but passed down through the family because well our last name happens to be Blankenship!! So you can imagine the excitement when we found out their not only was a amp who shared our somewhat rare name but Roy happened to build some of the best amps in the world!! Anyway if you’re looking for a good investment Blankenship’s in my opinion are the way to go. I’m talking Dumble Overdrive Special level of amp! In my opinion better and for such a simple amp it’s so versatile because it’s based off a bassman circuit, surprise, surprise, as are most great amps!!! It has Volume, bass, treble, with the mid circuit that runs full bore the whole time, no knob, which makes it always on 10. That’s one of the things I like about some of the old fenders, no mid control just hardwired to ten. Then the 6 position Veritone knob, reverb knob, tremelo knob. And that’s it! Altogether 6 knobs, two inputs one main and one on modulation channel! Looking inside at the immaculate point to point wiring that’s so clean when you receive it. It’s a work of art!! No crazy wire patched hear and there and everything serves an exact function, the soldering is second to none. Roy has a true gift and has sharing it with the guitar world for a good long while now. Hopefully only stopping to die. If you live under a rock look em up, play one, make a down payment, get on the waiting list and get one, you won’t have one ounce of regret. It’ll be the only amp u ever own that you don’t say “well this is great but maybe I’d tweek this or that just a little” nope none of that! It’s perfection!!!!!
