Such interesting videos! The more I watch, they get better and better! Extreme smart and precise work!! And perfect filming and editing!! All thumbs way up!!!
Thanks for delivering one more well made video with a lot of interesting things for farmers that are not from the Netherlands. I followed your channel for over a years now and you always deliver top class videos with new facts, keep up the good work! Ploughing in snow is something that could happen in Sweden, haven't thought about it being bad or good. We never seed during winter anyway. Cheers from Sweden!
Beautiful video again, yes plowing snow? My dad used to say plowing snow is the worst thing you can do. I can't ask him why anymore. I do not know. Greetings Jilles Boer
On sand ground it is better to plough the warmth under. Then the seeds will grow better. Snow is cold and it takes a long time when the sun heats the soil.
@@puttepossu2488 Nice to receive a response from Finland. Now I am curious if you have also watched my channel? I post a vlog about agriculture every week.
Minnesota, USA. We prefer to fall plow with a dusting of snow like that. We're usually plowing corn stalks, and lots of residue means you may have trouble with plugging the plow. If it has snow on it, it can freeze together, and pull the following residue through. The weight holds it down. Our soil freezes a couple of feet down every winter. No concern about losing a few degrees of soil heat burying a little snow.
I think that ploughing in the snow ❄️ is not such a bad idea as it’s easier and as the commentator said if springtime is wet then better to do it sooner than later and you don’t have to worry about the equipment getting stuck?.
If you wanna plow in snow you can BUT in the next year the soil below the layer you plow would compact, i advice to use a subsoiler next year to release the crust that has under the plowing level
I did a lot of ploughing on the farm of my dad in 90’s and 00’s, mostly with Fendt 515 and Lemken Opal 140 with M55-ploughboard, and hydraulic first furrow adjustment. Ploughing in snow is not a big problem, destroying your plough is.... only just a bit of frost in the top soil can make parts of your plough break. Our farm was on heavy clay soil in northern Holland, and I once had a rolling disc of 55 cm diameter snap open to the center like a twig... that’s when you know you went on to long... Btw, if you put the draw line of your plough in the right position your front wheel in the furrow will softly push to the side of the inside. Consequently you don’t have to steer (I only touched my steer on the headlands...), and the furrow will straighten itself. If you craft that you don’t need GPS.... Just saying....
Excellent video again we don’t have much snow in Devon England but it’s all quite steep and a doubt are John Deere 6520 would pull a 5 furow plough up hill in snow 👍
Quality overall for the most, good power to weight ratio, good service from dealers, resale value. Other brands may be cheaper to buy but you notice that differance in every other aspect.
I say size can also matter, say the Fendt 724, it’s a quite small but powerful tractor, compare that to a Massey 7724 and the Massey is a bit bigger... And also take the 942 and compare it to for example a John Deere 8 series or a New Holland T8 or an 8 series Massey or a Case Magnum...
It's so sad that people that have no idea how cool farming is they have no idea where their food comes from and no idea how bad the government is making it for farmers right now they don't even know farming is so cool and I'm not even a farmer

Absolutely cool farming practice. I too watch Canada UA-cam “Mike Mitchell” and how they farm which is amazing.... 10 90 foot drills farming 60,000 acres...
*It's fantastic to have an English-speaking farm channel from Southern Europe! Loving it!*
Thank you, the Netherlands however is in the North of Europe 🤣
this channel deserves so much more subscribers, the quality of the videos are oustanding!
We couldn't agree more thank you :-D.
This is the first video I've seen from these guys. And I would have to agree just subscribed myself .
Also agree 100%
Agreed
Absolutely right 😍
I know a few big farm channels but this one has way more professional content. Goed bezig!
Bedankt!
Really nice to finally have a english speaking farm channel from southern Europe! Lowe it!
Thank you!
It is western Europe, Greetz!
Great video again and never had to worry about ploughing in the snow as we don’t get much round here
We normally don't either but this year was different!

Thanks Jilles. This turned out great luckily.

in Finland ploughing in snow is normal. No problems in spring whit snow under soil. Little freeze wheather is best to ploughing.

When you gotta go,ya gotta go,those farmers know their ground better than those of us in the comments.

hi agrifoto, thanks for doing such good videos you're the best
Thank you for the kind words.
We plow in the snow most years, can’t plant early oats if not fall plowed and usually don’t finish harvesting corn until the snow is flying
Very good work Sir
Excellent filming & nicely put together video!
That front weight in the thumbnail is crazy😂
Prachtige video!
Très belle vidéo et beaux matériels

very well and i want to come and work there
Good video your
They always used to call snow "poor man's fertiliser", I believe there are nutritional benefits of incorporating it.
From the thumbnail, thought this was Farming Simulator video lol 😂😂😂
Damn... FS22 should look klein like this
GOOD video👍👍
Prachtige video 😍😍😍 Komen er op dit kanaal ook nog andere merken als Fendt 😂
We hadden een paar weken terug nog 2 John Deere's :-).
Why is there so much fendt in the Netherlands?
I guess a good dealership network, reliable tractors and good resale value. Also versatile to use for all jobs.

All the technology on that brussel sprout harvester and it still requires man labor to feed it ?!?
I did subsoil tillage in the snow two month ago)))
Prachtige video ik vind het wel mooi ploegen in de sneeuw maar is die grond dan niet bevroren?
Sneeuw isoleert heel goed dus de grond eronder is wel wat stijf van de vorst maar niet hard.

Fendt 942 with a 7-furrow plow?!? - A huge tractor with a comparatively tiny plow. But nice video.
This is a good match for the soil type on this farm. It also needs to be able to lift it.
What type of crop is that🙄
Snow
How many acres of land are you working to create all the crops that you are producing?
Thanks,
Be careful and stay safe😀
