Im a Bond and sunglass addict. Im also Very light sensitive too. These sunglassses are excellent, matching protection with ny Maui Stingrays with grey polarised lenses. If the Vuaney brown lynx was polarised too, WOW!
Got these and the ICE 1709 in blue polar lynx which I took snowboarding. Loved them. Very light and comfortable. The O6 I admit I picked up cos of the Bond connection. They're quite classic but I think they look cool and they're very comfortable. Haven't driven much in them yet. Must give it a try. Great reviews btw!
Thank you very much Paul! The 1709 in matte crystal with polar blue is one of my top sellers, I do love the blue polar lynx version as well though!! Trailed with a fight for second in the 06 and 03!! You can never go wrong with anything Daniel Craig chooses to wear! 🤣 you will LOVE that lens for driving if you enjoy heightened contrast. It's definitely near the top of my list, some people dont like the color shift when driving so it's something to keep in mind 😁
That Glasses Guy thanks for the response! I keep a pair of Persol 649s in the car for driving. They’re very good but alas I bought them online suspecting I’d instantly achieve Steve McQueen / Daniel Craig levels of cool. That theory was flawed as they’re a bit big for my head and make me look more like an 80’s Dynasty character. But they’re good for driving. Might replace them with the Vuarnet’s and see where it takes me! Great to chat with another Vuarnet fan
🤣, oversized is in! Maybe you're cooler than McQueen! 😂. The Glacier is on my must have list. I've been trying to decide what color I want for almost a year now 🤣
Is it the same as vuarnet 112? How do you compere vuarnet vs Serengeti vs kaenon? Will you be as kind to address glasses lenses technology and care on video?
Theyre not, this is a much more angular frame :) . Vuarnet and strength both make a great lens optically, kaenon is in their own category of color perception though. I have a whole Playlist of videos where I talk about various types of lens tech, check them out on the channel home page 😁, was theyre something specific you were looking to know more about?
Thank u man I have a pair of vuarnet i swear by. Really good brownlynx. As it come to be i need another pair. I thought on anothe vuatnet (nice vintage Nautilux from ebay)then i saw sarngti’s corning glass tech and kaenon tech. I just wandered which is the best in terms of clarity and definition of objects? I dont need to be dazzled with colors, just perfect clarity and rest for my eyes (i wear sunglasses indors a lot as well) thanks again😇🙏
@@girboz the glass serengetti and vyarnet offer a more crisp experience to be sure :) between the two it's a matter of preference. Kaenons magic comes in contrast and color, but plastics aren't quite there yet in for distance optics compared to glass options 😁
Wanted the matt black with greylynx and you were OOS so picked em up from Ebay. Can these frames be heated and bent? They appear to have a stronger than normal memory. I think someone may have messed with them a bit as they are not perfectly square :-(.
I've heard murmers from Vuarnet they colorway may not be coming back 😬. The matte black with skylynx outsells it 10:1 though so I wouldn't be surprised 🤣. As for adjusting, I wouldn't advise heat for those, and we have no problem adjusting them. Not many places take the time to get frames into a good bench alignment before shipping like I do 😅, I have to adjust almost everything that comes in the door. Just like some lots deeply detail and correct every car on the lot 😎
Thanks for the detailed reviews. I’m a sunglass junkie, and it’s hard to find detailed reviews on lenses particularly. At around 1:00 you mention a blue mirrored polarized lens, which I do not see in your shop for this style. Can you elaborate on which lens that is, including the base tint? I wish more manufacturers would clearly state the base lens color. I am a bit confused over which Vuarnet lenses are polarized as they do not include that spec on the site. Is it just the ones with “polar” in the name?, or are some of the others polarized as well?
Great questions! That lens isn't offered in the 06, you're correct. The only polarized options are specifically noted as polar, and in the case of Vuarnets blue mirror it is over a grey base (I also list the base color on every mirrored lens frame I carry :) ). They do some magic with their filters to increase contrast though, and their chosen blue creates a nice warm shift in combination with this. It is perhaps the best "grey" lens I've ever worn 😁. As for Vuarnets colors, they're all over a brown or grey base except the skilynx (yellow-green), nightlynx (bright canary yellow), and blue polarlynx (blue polarized base) 😁 Hope that helps!
@@ThatGlassesGuy03 thanks for the reply. I really need to check these out in person. When you say it’s the best gray you’ve tried, how does it compare with the Maui Jim blue/gray? Or their straight gray vs. MJ’s? It’s hard for me to imagine better grays. Some magic going on their with their filters

Except part of the advantage is that it is Not polarized 🙃.

In the 80s , 06s were $75.00 ( alot back then )
Someone more attuned to finance and inflation should do the math. I would bet it’s a bargain in today’s dollars. 😂🥶
