Hello, Muse. I just wanted to comment this real quick. I'm sorry about the actions I did in your server. I'm really sorry about the bad behaviour I brought upon your moderation team and casual members. These including: bashing entertainment media for no good reason, making awful nsfw jokes, spamming unnecessary bullshit in the main chat. I understand if you do not forgive me. But I just wanted to say I am indeed sorry, and that I do regret what I did.
I have no idea what you are talking about, but good on you man. Not many people own up to the shitty things they do. I like that you just apologized and didn't give a bunch of excuses. Good luck and keep growing
So basically it was weaponized edgelordism? I've always felt uneasy about that aspect of it, speaking as someone outside that belief system. How much it vaunts suffering. It's reminiscent of the mindset of someone who's got philosophically stuck at nihilism and not advanced beyond that yet. I had... so much self-loathing growing up and it took a LONG time to grow out of (many times thinking I had then discovering all I'd done was shed one layer and there were still layers to go). Feels like the mindset of someone who hasn't got to the point of realising there are layers, this thing about valuing your own suffering so much. Very interesting stuff to think on anyway and I learned a lot, good video. :)
"basically" isn't a word convenient to use in the context of trying to understand the behaviour and beliefs of people through history, the presentation given by the video is, although nicely done, a bit too manichean as it often happens when people try to boil down a complex historical phenomenon to an unified simple explaination.
@@eccoeco3454 good call to nuance, cheers for that. I was responding to the content in the video, having no knowledge of my own to adjust it by, obviously (but maybe still deserves acknowledging, obvious or not).
As a Christian, I want to say that I appreciate this video for the most part, but there are also some logical fallacies that need to be addressed: The early Christians didn't want to die because of the return of Christ. They didn't fight because I'm sure they knew that death was inevitable for them, given the circumstances of their societal situation. They, and many Christians today, were/are aware that earth is not the final destination, as no one can avoid physical death forever and their faith and belief in God was worth dying for. But we although a couple Christians may have seemed to not panic or even welcome death, we can't say that all did. They were just took comfort in knowing that the suffering would end and they would be in Heaven. Again, the video isn't bad, but it seems like your examining the motivation of Christianity through the lens of Silent Hill, which is erroneous. Cultism by definition is a bastardization of Christianity couple with apostasy that are not supported in the Bible... Comparing the two would be like comparing a grape flavored popsicle to actual grapes; they're two different things. As far as your take on sex, the Bible doesn't say that "sex is sinful", it says that sex outside of marriage is a sin. It is believed that marriage was the official union observed by God, based on the first person you had sex with. This can possibly validated by the Jewish tradition of consummation during the reception. Nowadays the marriage ceremony is more of a modern act to allow family and friends to witness, as well as a civil bond through the government, but since there is never mention of an actual marriage ceremony in the Bible (old or new), it would imply that sex was marriage.
The examination of Christianity in this video is specifically from a historical view - as both a Christian and a student of religion. These are not conclusions I've come to on my own - they are academic facts, taken from years of research and college study.
There was a marriage ceremony in John 2 where Jesus turned water into wine, but that could've been considered more like a "feast" more than anything else and it was most certainly nothing like the modern wedding ceremonies we see today. Back then, the Jews consummated the marriage at the reception like you said and the accompanying feast usually lasted a couple days. There were also dowries and a woman's "token of virginity" to consider too. The union between men and women was totally different a few millennia ago.
This video creepy and gave me chills because a lot of Christian perches started perching in 2020 and even in this year that the covid 19 virus and other bad stuff is the coming of end times. Also they are perching that god will come get his fateful followers, that if you do not confess form your mouth that jesus is lord and saver you will go to hell, and if you do not have same thoughts as most Christian about the bible you are going to hell. That why I say I am not a normal Christian. I think the bible can be looked in many ways,as long as believe in god you can be saved, that being something like gay bi or transgender is not a sin because god made you that way, that we will never know when the end time is really coming and telling someone they read bible wrong or arguing amongst themselves who is more right about god message is worng(unless you are a cult) because message has been translated so many times that some mistake are going to be made.
You say homosexuality is not a sin. The Hebrew God says that it is.... You say The Hebrew God loves everybody, you are dead wrong.... God never said that he loves everybody.... Every book called The Holy Bible all around the ancient world, as well as the modern world never said that The Hebrew God stated what you have stated.... The Holy Bible does tell us when Revelation happens through events.... Plus, The Hebrew God says white folks can never receive salvation.... I know that is really offensive to all the world, but, that is in The Holy Bible.... As for myself, well, I do not have a belief....
The part of the Bible that said that was specifically chosen to be put in the bible by people who didn't want you to interpret the Bible by yourself. They cut things that said you in fact could interpret it. That's the point of this particular discussion.
@@thegamingmuse there is no cut. because its on the original copys of de evangelion. 2 peter 1-20. and also the bible said that the church its the pillar and bilwark of truth. what you are telling its nothing more that the lie the protestans use to call themselfs christians
