Same I always thought it was daft how they have Grover speak a few sentences and that’s it, I know his mission with the Percy and Annabeth is finished and he’s carrying on Pans work with Nature and whatnot, but he’s literally Percys best friend and the person who was beside him from the start and had introduced him to the Camp Half Blood and the other world , it’s like removing Ron completely from Harry’s life after a few a bit in the Harry Potter books.
Ok but hear me out. I once saw the post on Instagram or Twitter and it was the idea how to make HoO more dramatic. I really liked the idea, I don't remember it all but this is what I remember : Gaia was a really flat villain. She should support giants not because they're her kids but because they want to end humanity and she hates people so much. They treated her so horribly, they burned her forest and destroyed her air that she can't breathe anymore. And the all nature spirits should be on her side, including satyrs and even GROVER. Imagine the tension between him and Percy. Percy being like: but she wants to kill everyone! And Grover being like: AND?? That's what Pan would want.... Imagine the moral conflict in percy's mind, he is confused , he's not sure that he is really on the good side but he still fights for the gods because they are his family. Imagine Grover dying in the battle and Percy thinking in the end that did he really saved the world or not? Just imagine
omg the blood of Olympus would be more thrilling if this happened like imagine this in the middle of the fight with gaea/dirt woman,(which would be more intense) Grover swoops in to attack,Percy questions all the choices of both sides,wondering who he should even side with. The gods are occupied with giants,the demigods starts losing hope.Bad Boy Supreme triés blowing her up with fire but it has little effects as dirt woman goes crazy.Grover attacks once more and tries to spare Percy by telling him something like idk “Percy,I’ve known you for 5 years,think about what your doing” idk. Maybe Grover would be manipulated or controlled by dirt lady to influence his thoughts. He ends up sacrificing himself to distract Gaia. Then maybe the gods will help up by zapping,sending chills to,using her scythe on,striking with water on her. Eventually Leo finally gets the finishing blow after many deaths and trauma. Idk this took so long. Maybe the thing Grover would reincarnate to would be burned away from Leo’s fire nuke. This took so long 😅 Edit:we could also have visions of pan and Percy and grover’s memories together to get more emotion lol. We could also possibly have Calypso finally fall for Leo but he rejects after learning to love himself. Idk I wanna make y’all cry. Edit 2:what if we also got flashbacks of Percy’s Camp friends? Like Silena,Beckendorf,Michael. It’d add more emotion I guess? Idk like I said I wanna make y’all cry.
I just can't forget how upset everyone was with Annabeth at Camp Jupiter because she is the daughter of Athena. Like what would have happened if she was there for more than a few hours?
"Hazel already has a mom. How are she and Hecate going to have a daughter?" Firstly, isn't there at least one child of a same-sex god-human couple? I think it was in the Trials of Apollo series, but I haven't read the series in a while, so I might be wrong. Just let me know. Secondly, one of Percy's brothers is a horse, and in the Magnus Chase series, Sam's siblings include a giant snake, a horse, and a giant wolf. Believe me, a biological child of a goddess with another woman is one of the least shocking things that mythology has to offer.
Here's my two cents: I feel like Percy would react awfully to Annabeth going to camp jupiter, and would have to be physically restrained from going straight to Camp Jupiter once they figure out where she is. Though, I do think that he'd be counting down like Annabeth did. I actually really love Annabeth goibg to CJ, and (credit to the person who commented it) the whole Minerva thing would be an interesting play. As for parents, having them as children of minor gods would be amazing! Maybe Hazel could be a child of Thanatos (the god of death) and that's why she's able to come back? Can Thanatos even have godly kids? I don't know. Hecate is defintely a good choice though. Nike is pronounced the second way (with two syllabals) in English if yiu were curious. Hypnosis is really similar to charmspeak in my eyes, so I think that it could work.
Actually it would be Victoria since she’s the roman version, Hecate would be Trivia, and yeah adding a child of Thanatos/Letum on a quest to save him would be great. Hazel would quite literally be the child of dead, but that wouldn’t exactly work with her curse.
I feel like maybe hazel could stay the same just because nico needs help. Also if they wanted a different/another sibling duo I wouldn’t mind Reyna being a daughter of Minerva,though that would need some explaining since in the MoA,she literally says that Athena a maiden having kids is shocking,and they don’t even have Minerva children.
The reason why I disagree with taking Annabeth to camp Jupiter is because Percy may not have been the most popular but he was the symbol at camp always saving the day. Also the whole camp didn't hate him it was just the ares kids because he went on
I feel like if they switched Annabeth with someone at Camp Jupiter, it’d have to be Reyna, and then there’s an issue with the fact that Minerva (Athena) doesn’t have any Roman children, and Bellona doesn’t really have a Greek equivalent. - - Also, with Leo having Melinoe as his godly parent, his mother could’ve died because he accidentally gave her really bad luck, which caused the fire (like, something went horribly wrong in the workshop and she died because of it), and Leo, finding out about his luck manipulation would still blame himself. *Or* what if the luck was at least partially mood based? Like, if he’s in a bad mood, everything goes wrong for them, when he’s in a good mood, everything just so happens to succeed?

My thoughts: I think that the biggest problem with Annabeth going to CJ instead of Percy is how each of the seven characters have their own quests and moments (Jason Leo Piper and Percy Frank Hazel) before they get together and embark besides Annabeth who gets her moment/quest in Mark of Athena. If Annabeth went, Percy would not really have anything to do at all for the first three books unless the Athena Parthenos sideline got removed (which I think would cause too many problems) or there would have to be some other thing for him to do. I guess he could have nothing but it would imbalance how each character has to prove themselves as a part of this great prophecy regardless of wether or not they’ve proved themselves in the past. In terms of the parents I think they all mostly make sense. For me the biggest problem is Hazel (and Leo, I don’t think his character can be changed in that way). Without being daughter of Pluto, her whole backstory with raising the giant with her power of the riches of the earth doesn’t really work which would be a shame because I like that part of the story a lot. I’m sure there could be a way around it, but the way it written with her raising her father nemesis at her mom’s order is really fascinating. Anyways they both are interesting ideas regardless and would be interesting if they’d been included.

He’d have to have some kind of quest to prove himself though I’m sure there’s something he could have done. Maybe since he doesn’t get captured he found the doors of death and escaped before the Argo II left. Something like this I guess.

I agree with all the stuff about the minor gods being the peoples parents and all, thats something I've never really considered but now I can't stop thinking about....... But I think I would still keep Percy as one of the Seven solely for all the percabeth moments 🥰

When you’re talking about who is going to be taken and why Annabeth is the leader, yeah, she is the leader, but Percy is more of a symbol of the camp’s strength and if you take away their real leader they would be in more actual danger, both because I think she is better to have them composed and integrate the idea of romans existing, and more patient in waiting to get Percy. Percy would most certainly not be able to just sit still while Annabeth is gone, like you can see in TTC, and with him having the Achilles curse which makes his fatal flaw more prominent. So strategically it would be better to have Annabeth at camp when someone from percabeth is gone. (Sorry if the text is hard to read, I’m not good with voicing my thoughts on text.)
She is also more distrustful than Percy and would personally not be as great at getting integrated in with the romans. Her pride and hubris would be really bad with how they treat Minerva.

I mean, Percy is basically an army killer, dude casually defeats hundreds of monsters or campers and he nonchalantly defeated Polybotis at the end of SON, I don't think Abnabeth can replicate his raw power to be honest
One of the things I like most about Hazel is that she can do magic and if she was a daughter of Hecate this side of her could have been more explored I already think she is very powerful. And I never really thought of piper as the daughter of another god or goddes because I like to see a descendant of Aphrodite having prominence and I like the powers of piper but I think she would be just as powerful as daughter of Hypnos. I think that Reyna it's the leader of camp jupiter but it makes sense that Jason was chosen
My main complaints are that the Percy vs Jason battle during mark of Athena didn’t end in Percy showing why he’s the superior goat 😂, the ending with Leo having the last scene and getting so much attention, and finally I just honestly wanted more Percy doing a lot more in the blood of Olympus
I also wanted more of Percy’s blood thing to because they introduced it and I really thought it would come into play. Also this might just be me but I was mad that we didn’t get a SCENCE with Percy trying to stop Leo everyone wants to talk about his fatal flaw, but not use it.
YES YES and YES! I agree 1000000% with everything you just said. When I picked up the first heroes of Olympus books I think most of them had already come out and all I knew about it was that new demigods would fulfill the prophecy. I really thought Nico was one of the Seven and sadly he wasn't so I really appreciate your inclusion of him there. Percy would definitely stay as a strong supporting character but I love this idea, especially how the different gods would allow for more interesting powers
My concerns with Annabeth going to camp Jupiter is that she just isn't as charismatic as Percy. I love her, but she isn't really a people person. Plus Percy is definitely a loose cannon. And still has the curse of Achilles, which makes him even more reckless. I am interested to hear how things like tartarus will go without Percy along for the ride. The parent changes seem fine - although I always thought Leo would make a good Son of Hestia

the problem with hazel’s mother being hecate is that Hecate’s Roman counterpart is Diana which is a virgin goddess and is more a counterpart of Artemis so hazel couldn’t go to cj so I think we could make hazel’s godly parent Nix (or Nox by the romans) or Letus (Thanatos)
The seven are now Hazel, Frank, Reyna, Annabeth, Piper, Leo and Clarisse. The Battle at Kansas happens between Reyna and Annabeth. In here, Nico reaches the Doors, but the giants capture him before he could close it. Percy and Jason leave for Rome when they’re able to piece together the last piece of the prophecy(foes bear arms to the doors of death) but when they do, they are forced to duel each other, and Percabeth do fall into Tartarus. The rest of the story remains the same, except now Percy and Jason are the ones carrying the Athena Parthenos(Jason tries to keep it a float), so they have OG BRO MOMENTS. Nico now stays on the ArgoII, and also he and Jason do bond. We also get Valdangelo bro moments and Reynico bro moments. I agree with all of this, and the couples remain the same. Godly parents: Frank - Victoria(Nike) Hazel - Thanatos or Hecate Leo - Hephaestus or Dionysus Piper - Morpheus The rest remain the same and Hazel and Nico have a sibling-like bond. The last addition is: Gaea is doing all of this because of the way everyone treats the Earth, and most of satyres, including Grover, along with Nature spirits are on her side. So now, Percy has this internal struggle with his best friend.

My problem is not the godly parents, although I will say Victoria (Nike’s Roman name) as Frank’s mom would have been cool, simply because we don’t have a lot of male demigods with female parents. Heck, it could have been a fun reference to Annaeus. In fact I love most of the characters and their godly powers in these books. I like the heroes of Olympus in general. However if I were to change one thing it is this. Make Jason important. The son of Jupiter, Hera’s chosen one, and he holds back the most in the series. We see a rivalry with Percy that goes no where, his love triangle with Reyna and Piper, and most of Mark of Athena had him asleep. Instead I would have made Jason the most pious of the group. He is a keen leader and warrior, and often assumes the role of leader, which flares a rivalry of Percy (the two are opposites, with Percy being brash and chaotic in a fight while Jason is organized and precise). Maybe his journey is to place a lot more trust in people then gods, maybe we have some parraells between him and Octavian. Honestly, when your best momment in the series is playing Wingman for Nico, it’s a bad sign.
My fixes: Annabeth and Reyna get swapped. Grover and the nature spirits are a huge part of the story as it literally is about fighting Gaea. Piper and Leo come to CHB in the normal way(just Hera shoves monsters towards them so that they can find CHB). As for Frank, Hazel and Jason, they leave CJ to find Reyna(they get a quest from Bellona and Minerva). Percy, Nico, Clarisse search for Annabeth, and in this version of HOO, Clarisse is the one who finds CJ first. Nico also finds it, but then when he is off to go to CHB, he meets Hazel, Frank and Jason. They tell him about the Doors of Death, and he leaves to search for it in the Underworld. Hades tries to stop him, but jumps into Tartarus, anyway. Now, TLH trio is Leo, Piper and Reyna. Son trio(Now, Dom trio is Annabeth, Clarisse and Dakota) frees Thanatos and goes back to CJ. Clarisse is still undercover. When they get Leo, is scroll, and the rest of 7 along with the roman trio(H, F, J), Clarisse reveals her identity. Reyna gets outcasted, and Jason tries to stay back to control the Romans.
I can see we’re your coming from the Annabeth change makes sense because in the Lost Hero Rick kind of just threw Annabeth into the seven and didn’t show her role in the prophecy until books 3 Mark of Athena and book 4 House of Hades.
It would have been really cool to see Annabeth, the fully Greek girl, show up and have to adjust at learning about Camp Jupiter while trying to remember who she is
And what annabeth says when she comes to jupiter "Hey i'am a daughter of minerva" the romans kills her story ends because in the mark of athena they say that for the romans the idea of a child of minerva/athena sounds horrible. By the way awesome video
Okay, how about this. Hera announces Annabeth to be her gift to the camp. She goes on the quest and slowly gains her memories, but not who her godly parent is. She remembers her mother giving her a quest in Rome, but nothing more than that.. She comes back, helps defeat Enceladus, and is raised to be Praetor. (Why didn't he attack the Roman camp? If you're doing a full scale attack, you need your best strategist. Not Polybotes.) they burn the first stripe on her arm, they see an owl, le gasp. She's a daughter of Athena, and she gets her remaining memories back. And this way, it'd be Percy mistrusting the Romans, not Annabeth, which makes a whole lot more sense.
And now, while they travel to the Doors of Death, Hazel and Frank are finally revealed as the final Halfbloods. So now the Seven are: Hazel, Fank, Reyna, Annabeth, Leo, Clarisse and Piper.
Annabeth is a leader but in the battle of the labyrinth and in the last titan the camp looked up to him also since he killed the monsters with the water from the little Tiber, Camp Jupiter looked up to him and also the Seven looked up to him in the books
I just want to say like u said u thought that annabeth should be in place of Percy at camp Jupiter but even it is mentioned in the book by Hera that she exchanged the leaders of both the camps so the great prophecy can take place and tell both the camps that the other one exists this time a my opinion your is different I know and i respect that btw love your channel. And about Leo if he did not fire his mom would not be dead and it will change his story and the prophecy of the lost hero same with piper it will change all the prophecies
OK here is who I think their godly parents are: Annabeth: Athena Percy: Poseiden Jason: Apollo. Apollo is a very highly respected god in Rome so I think this will work. Piper: Polyhymnia (Muse of Hymns) Pipers name was literally chosen to represent singing Leo: Hermes Kinna minor and represents Leo Hazel: Melinoe (goddess of ghosts) or Circe (the sorceress goddess) Still has the hades connection with eather Frank: Nemesis IDK I just think this would be a good idea
I like the changes of the godly parentages except for Leo, as his power was also specific to defeating gaia and without his fire powers there'd be no retrieving festus who is essential to the story.
Firstly Melinoe is goddess of ghosts so Tyche should be Leo’s godly parent. Also what about the blessing of Mars and Frank? Also I think that Thanatos would be a better fit for Hazel coz it gives her more of a connection to Nico
I totally agree with you when you say Annabeth is the leader of CHB, but she's also daughter of Athena and in the mark of Athena we discover Minerva could not have child and if she has them, they will killed. Btw I would completely adore to see Percy going mad about Annabeth's disappearance.
I know all of you might not agree with it but I would have really loved for piper and Leo to be a couple and Jason to be single even though he was a son of Jupiter,I would have taken Reyna instead of Jason in the prophecy of 7 , I agree with the change of Annabeth going to camp Jupiter , I would really like to see her POV more and some girl power when Reyna being sent to camp half blood , also piper would not be the part of the 7 she would just be Leo’s girlfriend and I would put Percy back in the 7 . I know you all might wanna kill me but I would want Octavian in the prophecy of 7 he would act to be on the god’s side and even the part of the 7 till the end everyone would think that he was the good guy until Gaia would offer him something and he would betray his friends at that time Grover who had been on Gaia’s side would come to their rescue and they’ll know that Grover was the seventh not Octavian this also states that the prophecy would not specifically state demigods it would state maybe teens or something and since gods would like to pick their own children thus explaining the demigods . So, basically the 7 would be Annabeth ,Reyna, Percy,Hazel,Frank ,Grover and Leo. The two main leads would be Annabeth and Reyna.Also I would Like Jason to have a crush on Annabeth that would change the dynamics a lot especially when Reyna would come back to CJ
i don't agree with Annabeth being the one taken to camp jupiter, because it's all about parallels. Yes, Jason and Annabeth have a lot of things in common personality wise, but if we are talking about the roles they take in camp, Percy and Jason are parallels, and Annabeth and Reyna are parallels, if you take Annabeth you have to take Reyna and them you have Jason and Percy having to figure everything out (what would not make sense). Annabeth and Reyna are the true leaders, that's why they are not the ones taken, if that happened the camps would collapse, they are big enough leader to continue to make sure the camp is stable and figure out what happened to the guys (something Percy and Jason would not be able to do by themselves).
I don't want this to sound mean or something like that, but after I saw this video I wanted to see which cabin would Leo be staying in (because Melinoe doesn't have a cabin at Camp Half Blood and I tried to find the closest god to her - one that had a cabin in which I could put Leo in) and from my research I saw that Tyche is the goddess of good /bad luck and fortune not Melinoe...
I agree with you 100% but, if Hera really hates Annabeth then why would she wipe her memory of Percy, because then she wouldn’t have something to be tortured about. That’s probably why Uncle Rick took Percy instead.
Sorry I’m writing a lot of comments I just have a lot of thoughts about this. I like the idea of Leo being the son of the goddess of luck but then how does he get fire powers ? Because I thought it was an important part of his character development that he stop hiding this from his friends and use it for good instead of blaming his powers and himself for his mothers death
I get ur point and I agree mostly, still I would like to add some stuff, 2. Annabeth didn’t bare the Curse of Achilles she would die before even getting to Camp Jupiter. Percy only survived because he was invulnerable. 3. Annabeth isn’t as charming at first, don’t get me wrong I love her but she almost never liked a person by first, Percy is much more of a people person. Seeing this and the fact that the romans don’t appreciate daughters of Minerva would make her staying there pretty…uhm, complicated. They would not trust her. 4. I think without Percy it would have been pretty dam hard to survive the Mediterranean …
I would actually love a book solely for children of Hecate, she is one of my fav Greek gods and seeing all the different spells and witchcraft would be so cool, the closest we got to this was at the end of The Demigod Diaries (I think?) like a villain that could be only defeated with magic, and it’s an opportunity to introduce so much more characters and make camp more diverse. (I know this video is a year old but it was on my recommended so uhm ye)
The Son of Neptune would have been better if Grover had found Percy and brought Ella back instead of Tyson. Afterward, Grover is the one that jumps into battle at Camp Jupiter, inspiring all the other Fauns to join him!! And that's how we get a fight scene with Don! If this would have been done, then we would have finally gotten more GROVER!!!!!
Also I feel like Hazel being a daughter of Hecate is a great idea but then what about her ability to control the earth and gems and precious metals ? In my mind it would be really cool if she was somehow Gaia’s daughter bc then it would make sense for her to be super powerful and also would make for a really interesting story arc. And then still have her patron gods be Pluto and Hecate.

If Annabeth was taken by Hera, Percy would storm Olympus. Think about it: 1. Percy would still have his Achilles heel, so he would still be invulnerable. 2. Percy has basically taken down a god before when he had the curse of Achilles. 3. The way Percy reacted when Annabeth got stabbed in The last Olympian, is proof he would flip out. I think instead of being really sad like Annabeth was Percy would be really angry. I think Percy would be be really angry and cold towards people, I think deep down Percy would be sad but it would be hidden by rage.
Percy would just march into Olympus and start punching gods in the face before they new what was happening. We’ve seen 12 yr old Percy best Ares, and 15/16 yr old Percy pin Hades to the ground, my boy is powerful but he restrains his power, Percy if Annabeth was missing would legitimately have zero restraint and would just start beat up gods, in the house of Hades we seen Percy did some dark stuff, he only stopped doing that dark stuff because Annabeth pleaded with him, he would probably beat up like half the Olympians before they know what’s going on, and then when they do realise and find out why they all just look at Hera meanwhile Percy is just flipping out, probably destroying stuff. I want to see current Percy take on a god like 12 yr old Percy did, because that would be epic.
Annabeth going to CJ is interesting cuz romans dont actually know children of athena exist and found her existence very scandalous. Minerva isn't really a wisdom and war goddess, she is a crafts goddess. I imagine that CJ (except Reyna)really underestimates Annabeth and that the Lares absolutely hate her but in the war game she comes up with the winning strategy(Frank is still shown to be incredibly powerful as an archer and is stocky so i imagine he's the powerhouse instead of Percy and it still doesn't take away one of the few good moments we have of Frank, so he does get the centurion rank)i also imagine that Annabeth is a person who takes insults to heart which reinforces her hubris or pride. But she still chooses to go on the quest especially her solo quest to fix things for the greater good thus letting go of her pride and showing she's better than her mother Athena(she literally wanted Annabeth to kill all the romans)Also i feel as though there would be more platonic bonds created between Frank and Reyna. For reyna she could've had a bond on being a person who has to bottle up or can't express their emotions correctly and for frank it would similar to the MOA scene on the chinese fingertrap where Annabeth is patient with Frank and genuinely tries to help him but accidentally freaking out people with complicated explanations (even she cant talk to percy about anything complicated)and Frank in his own words helps her to "Keep it simple."

I personally do feel like it would be a little bit offensive for Hazel to be the daughter of Hecate. Especially because, like you said, black people were commonly accused of witchcraft. Hazel's mother was literally ridiculed and disliked by their neighbourhood because she was a "witch," and used magic, etc, from what I can remember, and yeah, sure, while Hazel's mother was technically a bad person, and Hazel would be using magic and witchcraft for good, I still don't think it would be a good idea.
I disagree with your first point about Hera taking Annabeth instead of Percy. Percy has always had an unspoken charisma about him and his actions would usually always win people over. It even happened with Clarisse (which is crazy to think about) and Artemis. Annabeth doesn't really have that. Everyone from both camps really comes to respect him. The Last Olympian shows his leadership skills too. Also taking Percy away from Annabeth for months and making her live constantly worried is so much worse for Annabeth than Annabeth being taken and memory wiped. Hera taking away the person she cares about the most is pretty evil.
Sending Annabeth over Percy wouldn't work and let me explain: 1. It was an exchange of leaders and for all intensive purposes(bc unlike Camp Jupiter, Half-Blood doesn't have leaders) Percy is the leader of Camp Half-Blood after he led the defense of Olympus. 2. Annabeth simply is not powerful enough to single handedly turn the tide against the Giant Army the same way that Percy can especially when you consider that her strength is tactics, but the Romans already have Reyna so it wouldn't have made a massive difference. 3. Hera stated Jason had to learn to trust the Greeks and the Romans had to learn to trust Percy. This is the biggest reason. The Romans are far less trusting than the Greeks(anyone is welcomed and accepted at Camp Half-Blood where as you need a positive augury reading to get in and letters of rec and sponsorships to get a good position at Camp Jupiter) Annabeth would not have worked in this position. She is far too reserved and calculated to immediately trust and want to go on a suicide quest to defend the Romans. Hera needed to send a Greek who would immediately trust the Romans and who inspires those around him the way that Percy does. Hera had to send someone who could save the Romans at there time of greatest need. Annabeth would not have trusted them quick enough to do so.

Ok but hear me out. I once saw the post on Instagram or Twitter and it was the idea how to make HoO more dramatic. I really liked the idea, I don't remember it all but this is what I remember :
Gaia was a really flat villain. She should support giants not because they're her kids but because they want to end humanity and she hates people so much. They treated her so horribly, they burned her forest and destroyed her air that she can't breathe anymore. And the all nature spirits should be on her side, including satyrs and even GROVER. Imagine the tension between him and Percy. Percy being like: but she wants to kill everyone! And Grover being like: AND?? That's what Pan would want.... Imagine the moral conflict in percy's mind, he is confused , he's not sure that he is really on the good side but he still fights for the gods because they are his family. Imagine Grover dying in the battle and Percy thinking in the end that did he really saved the world or not? Just imagine

omg the blood of Olympus would be more thrilling if this happened like imagine this
in the middle of the fight with gaea/dirt woman,(which would be more intense) Grover swoops in to attack,Percy questions all the choices of both sides,wondering who he should even side with. The gods are occupied with giants,the demigods starts losing hope.Bad Boy Supreme triés blowing her up with fire but it has little effects as dirt woman goes crazy.Grover attacks once more and tries to spare Percy by telling him something like idk “Percy,I’ve known you for 5 years,think about what your doing” idk. Maybe Grover would be manipulated or controlled by dirt lady to influence his thoughts. He ends up sacrificing himself to distract Gaia. Then maybe the gods will help up by zapping,sending chills to,using her scythe on,striking with water on her. Eventually Leo finally gets the finishing blow after many deaths and trauma. Idk this took so long. Maybe the thing Grover would reincarnate to would be burned away from Leo’s fire nuke. This took so long 😅
Edit:we could also have visions of pan and Percy and grover’s memories together to get more emotion lol. We could also possibly have Calypso finally fall for Leo but he rejects after learning to love himself. Idk I wanna make y’all cry.

I feel like Percy would react awfully to Annabeth going to camp jupiter, and would have to be physically restrained from going straight to Camp Jupiter once they figure out where she is. Though, I do think that he'd be counting down like Annabeth did.
I actually really love Annabeth goibg to CJ, and (credit to the person who commented it) the whole Minerva thing would be an interesting play.
As for parents, having them as children of minor gods would be amazing!
Maybe Hazel could be a child of Thanatos (the god of death) and that's why she's able to come back? Can Thanatos even have godly kids? I don't know. Hecate is defintely a good choice though.

My thoughts:
I think that the biggest problem with Annabeth going to CJ instead of Percy is how each of the seven characters have their own quests and moments (Jason Leo Piper and Percy Frank Hazel) before they get together and embark besides Annabeth who gets her moment/quest in Mark of Athena. If Annabeth went, Percy would not really have anything to do at all for the first three books unless the Athena Parthenos sideline got removed (which I think would cause too many problems) or there would have to be some other thing for him to do. I guess he could have nothing but it would imbalance how each character has to prove themselves as a part of this great prophecy regardless of wether or not they’ve proved themselves in the past.
In terms of the parents I think they all mostly make sense. For me the biggest problem is Hazel (and Leo, I don’t think his character can be changed in that way). Without being daughter of Pluto, her whole backstory with raising the giant with her power of the riches of the earth doesn’t really work which would be a shame because I like that part of the story a lot. I’m sure there could be a way around it, but the way it written with her raising her father nemesis at her mom’s order is really fascinating.
Anyways they both are interesting ideas regardless and would be interesting if they’d been included.

When you’re talking about who is going to be taken and why Annabeth is the leader, yeah, she is the leader, but Percy is more of a symbol of the camp’s strength and if you take away their real leader they would be in more actual danger, both because I think she is better to have them composed and integrate the idea of romans existing, and more patient in waiting to get Percy. Percy would most certainly not be able to just sit still while Annabeth is gone, like you can see in TTC, and with him having the Achilles curse which makes his fatal flaw more prominent. So strategically it would be better to have Annabeth at camp when someone from percabeth is gone. (Sorry if the text is hard to read, I’m not good with voicing my thoughts on text.)
She is also more distrustful than Percy and would personally not be as great at getting integrated in with the romans. Her pride and hubris would be really bad with how they treat Minerva.
Plus with her attachment issues she would more hurt from Percy being away than her not remembering the last 6-8 months that she’s been away.

One of the things I like most about Hazel is that she can do magic and if she was a daughter of Hecate this side of her could have been more explored I already think she is very powerful. And I never really thought of piper as the daughter of another god or goddes because I like to see a descendant of Aphrodite having prominence and I like the powers of piper but I think she would be just as powerful as daughter of Hypnos. I think that Reyna it's the leader of camp jupiter but it makes sense that Jason was chosen
About Piper - We get to see that Aphrodite is more than just beauty and looks
My main complaints are that the Percy vs Jason battle during mark of Athena didn’t end in Percy showing why he’s the superior goat 😂, the ending with Leo having the last scene and getting so much attention, and finally I just honestly wanted more Percy doing a lot more in the blood of Olympus
I also wanted more of Percy’s blood thing to because they introduced it and I really thought it would come into play. Also this might just be me but I was mad that we didn’t get a SCENCE with Percy trying to stop Leo everyone wants to talk about his fatal flaw, but not use it.

YES YES and YES! I agree 1000000% with everything you just said. When I picked up the first heroes of Olympus books I think most of them had already come out and all I knew about it was that new demigods would fulfill the prophecy. I really thought Nico was one of the Seven and sadly he wasn't so I really appreciate your inclusion of him there. Percy would definitely stay as a strong supporting character but I love this idea, especially how the different gods would allow for more interesting powers

My concerns with Annabeth going to camp Jupiter is that she just isn't as charismatic as Percy. I love her, but she isn't really a people person. Plus Percy is definitely a loose cannon. And still has the curse of Achilles, which makes him even more reckless. I am interested to hear how things like tartarus will go without Percy along for the ride. The parent changes seem fine - although I always thought Leo would make a good Son of Hestia

the problem with hazel’s mother being hecate is that Hecate’s Roman counterpart is Diana which is a virgin goddess and is more a counterpart of Artemis so hazel couldn’t go to cj so I think we could make hazel’s godly parent Nix (or Nox by the romans) or Letus (Thanatos)

The seven are now Hazel, Frank, Reyna, Annabeth, Piper, Leo and Clarisse. The Battle at Kansas happens between Reyna and Annabeth. In here, Nico reaches the Doors, but the giants capture him before he could close it. Percy and Jason leave for Rome when they’re able to piece together the last piece of the prophecy(foes bear arms to the doors of death) but when they do, they are forced to duel each other, and Percabeth do fall into Tartarus. The rest of the story remains the same, except now Percy and Jason are the ones carrying the Athena Parthenos(Jason tries to keep it a float), so they have OG BRO MOMENTS. Nico now stays on the ArgoII, and also he and Jason do bond. We also get Valdangelo bro moments and Reynico bro moments. I agree with all of this, and the couples remain the same.
Godly parents:
Frank - Victoria(Nike)
Hazel - Thanatos or Hecate
Leo - Hephaestus or Dionysus
Piper - Morpheus
The rest remain the same and Hazel and Nico have a sibling-like bond.
The last addition is: Gaea is doing all of this because of the way everyone treats the Earth, and most of satyres, including Grover, along with Nature spirits are on her side. So now, Percy has this internal struggle with his best friend.
Now that is an interesting plot

My problem is not the godly parents, although I will say Victoria (Nike’s Roman name) as Frank’s mom would have been cool, simply because we don’t have a lot of male demigods with female parents. Heck, it could have been a fun reference to Annaeus. In fact I love most of the characters and their godly powers in these books. I like the heroes of Olympus in general.
However if I were to change one thing it is this. Make Jason important. The son of Jupiter, Hera’s chosen one, and he holds back the most in the series. We see a rivalry with Percy that goes no where, his love triangle with Reyna and Piper, and most of Mark of Athena had him asleep.
Instead I would have made Jason the most pious of the group. He is a keen leader and warrior, and often assumes the role of leader, which flares a rivalry of Percy (the two are opposites, with Percy being brash and chaotic in a fight while Jason is organized and precise). Maybe his journey is to place a lot more trust in people then gods, maybe we have some parraells between him and Octavian. Honestly, when your best momment in the series is playing Wingman for Nico, it’s a bad sign.
As a daughter of Hecate, I give you high props for this. Minor gods need more love tbh and they need more demigod children

My fixes: Annabeth and Reyna get swapped.
Grover and the nature spirits are a huge part of the story as it literally is about fighting Gaea.
Piper and Leo come to CHB in the normal way(just Hera shoves monsters towards them so that they can find CHB). As for Frank, Hazel and Jason, they leave CJ to find Reyna(they get a quest from Bellona and Minerva). Percy, Nico, Clarisse search for Annabeth, and in this version of HOO, Clarisse is the one who finds CJ first. Nico also finds it, but then when he is off to go to CHB, he meets Hazel, Frank and Jason. They tell him about the Doors of Death, and he leaves to search for it in the Underworld. Hades tries to stop him, but jumps into Tartarus, anyway. Now, TLH trio is Leo, Piper and Reyna. Son trio(Now, Dom trio is Annabeth, Clarisse and Dakota) frees Thanatos and goes back to CJ. Clarisse is still undercover. When they get Leo, is scroll, and the rest of 7 along with the roman trio(H, F, J), Clarisse reveals her identity. Reyna gets outcasted, and Jason tries to stay back to control the Romans.
i want a FULL book in annabeths pov and in first person that would be awesome
And Frank cannot be child of Victoria or Nike because he always lost the war games.

Hera announces Annabeth to be her gift to the camp. She goes on the quest and slowly gains her memories, but not who her godly parent is. She remembers her mother giving her a quest in Rome, but nothing more than that.. She comes back, helps defeat Enceladus, and is raised to be Praetor. (Why didn't he attack the Roman camp? If you're doing a full scale attack, you need your best strategist. Not Polybotes.)
they burn the first stripe on her arm, they see an owl, le gasp. She's a daughter of Athena, and she gets her remaining memories back.
And this way, it'd be Percy mistrusting the Romans, not Annabeth, which makes a whole lot more sense.

Annabeth is a leader but in the battle of the labyrinth and in the last titan the camp looked up to him also since he killed the monsters with the water from the little Tiber, Camp Jupiter looked up to him and also the Seven looked up to him in the books

I know you all might wanna kill me but I would want Octavian in the prophecy of 7 he would act to be on the god’s side and even the part of the 7 till the end everyone would think that he was the good guy until Gaia would offer him something and he would betray his friends at that time Grover who had been on Gaia’s side would come to their rescue and they’ll know that Grover was the seventh not Octavian this also states that the prophecy would not specifically state demigods it would state maybe teens or something and since gods would like to pick their own children thus explaining the demigods . So, basically the 7 would be Annabeth ,Reyna, Percy,Hazel,Frank ,Grover and Leo. The two main leads would be Annabeth and Reyna.Also I would Like Jason to have a crush on Annabeth that would change the dynamics a lot especially when Reyna would come back to CJ

i don't agree with Annabeth being the one taken to camp jupiter, because it's all about parallels. Yes, Jason and Annabeth have a lot of things in common personality wise, but if we are talking about the roles they take in camp, Percy and Jason are parallels, and Annabeth and Reyna are parallels, if you take Annabeth you have to take Reyna and them you have Jason and Percy having to figure everything out (what would not make sense). Annabeth and Reyna are the true leaders, that's why they are not the ones taken, if that happened the camps would collapse, they are big enough leader to continue to make sure the camp is stable and figure out what happened to the guys (something Percy and Jason would not be able to do by themselves).

I don't want this to sound mean or something like that, but after I saw this video I wanted to see which cabin would Leo be staying in (because Melinoe doesn't have a cabin at Camp Half Blood and I tried to find the closest god to her - one that had a cabin in which I could put Leo in) and from my research I saw that Tyche is the goddess of good /bad luck and fortune not Melinoe...
I agree with you 100% but, if Hera really hates Annabeth then why would she wipe her memory of Percy, because then she wouldn’t have something to be tortured about. That’s probably why Uncle Rick took Percy instead.

Sorry I’m writing a lot of comments I just have a lot of thoughts about this. I like the idea of Leo being the son of the goddess of luck but then how does he get fire powers ? Because I thought it was an important part of his character development that he stop hiding this from his friends and use it for good instead of blaming his powers and himself for his mothers death

I get ur point and I agree mostly, still I would like to add some stuff,
2. Annabeth didn’t bare the Curse of Achilles she would die before even getting to Camp Jupiter. Percy only survived because he was invulnerable.
3. Annabeth isn’t as charming at first, don’t get me wrong I love her but she almost never liked a person by first, Percy is much more of a people person. Seeing this and the fact that the romans don’t appreciate daughters of Minerva would make her staying there pretty…uhm, complicated. They would not trust her.
4. I think without Percy it would have been pretty dam hard to survive the Mediterranean …
I would actually love a book solely for children of Hecate, she is one of my fav Greek gods and seeing all the different spells and witchcraft would be so cool, the closest we got to this was at the end of The Demigod Diaries (I think?) like a villain that could be only defeated with magic, and it’s an opportunity to introduce so much more characters and make camp more diverse. (I know this video is a year old but it was on my recommended so uhm ye)
The Son of Neptune would have been better if Grover had found Percy and brought Ella back instead of Tyson. Afterward, Grover is the one that jumps into battle at Camp Jupiter, inspiring all the other Fauns to join him!! And that's how we get a fight scene with Don!
If this would have been done, then we would have finally gotten more GROVER!!!!!

Also I feel like Hazel being a daughter of Hecate is a great idea but then what about her ability to control the earth and gems and precious metals ? In my mind it would be really cool if she was somehow Gaia’s daughter bc then it would make sense for her to be super powerful and also would make for a really interesting story arc. And then still have her patron gods be Pluto and Hecate.
I really think that even if one of the minor gods children were part of the seven it would be more interesting

If Annabeth was taken by Hera, Percy would storm Olympus.
Think about it:
1. Percy would still have his Achilles heel, so he would still be invulnerable.
2. Percy has basically taken down a god before when he had the curse of Achilles.
3. The way Percy reacted when Annabeth got stabbed in The last Olympian, is proof he would flip out.
I think instead of being really sad like Annabeth was Percy would be really angry.
I think Percy would be be really angry and cold towards people, I think deep down Percy would be sad but it would be hidden by rage.
Percy would just march into Olympus and start punching gods in the face before they new what was happening.
We’ve seen 12 yr old Percy best Ares, and 15/16 yr old Percy pin Hades to the ground, my boy is powerful but he restrains his power, Percy if Annabeth was missing would legitimately have zero restraint and would just start beat up gods, in the house of Hades we seen Percy did some dark stuff, he only stopped doing that dark stuff because Annabeth pleaded with him, he would probably beat up like half the Olympians before they know what’s going on, and then when they do realise and find out why they all just look at Hera meanwhile Percy is just flipping out, probably destroying stuff.
I want to see current Percy take on a god like 12 yr old Percy did, because that would be epic.

Annabeth going to CJ is interesting cuz romans dont actually know children of athena exist and found her existence very scandalous. Minerva isn't really a wisdom and war goddess, she is a crafts goddess. I imagine that CJ (except Reyna)really underestimates Annabeth and that the Lares absolutely hate her but in the war game she comes up with the winning strategy(Frank is still shown to be incredibly powerful as an archer and is stocky so i imagine he's the powerhouse instead of Percy and it still doesn't take away one of the few good moments we have of Frank, so he does get the centurion rank)i also imagine that Annabeth is a person who takes insults to heart which reinforces her hubris or pride. But she still chooses to go on the quest especially her solo quest to fix things for the greater good thus letting go of her pride and showing she's better than her mother Athena(she literally wanted Annabeth to kill all the romans)Also i feel as though there would be more platonic bonds created between Frank and Reyna. For reyna she could've had a bond on being a person who has to bottle up or can't express their emotions correctly and for frank it would similar to the MOA scene on the chinese fingertrap where Annabeth is patient with Frank and genuinely tries to help him but accidentally freaking out people with complicated explanations (even she cant talk to percy about anything complicated)and Frank in his own words helps her to "Keep it simple."

I personally do feel like it would be a little bit offensive for Hazel to be the daughter of Hecate. Especially because, like you said, black people were commonly accused of witchcraft. Hazel's mother was literally ridiculed and disliked by their neighbourhood because she was a "witch," and used magic, etc, from what I can remember, and yeah, sure, while Hazel's mother was technically a bad person, and Hazel would be using magic and witchcraft for good, I still don't think it would be a good idea.
I disagree with your first point about Hera taking Annabeth instead of Percy. Percy has always had an unspoken charisma about him and his actions would usually always win people over. It even happened with Clarisse (which is crazy to think about) and Artemis. Annabeth doesn't really have that. Everyone from both camps really comes to respect him. The Last Olympian shows his leadership skills too. Also taking Percy away from Annabeth for months and making her live constantly worried is so much worse for Annabeth than Annabeth being taken and memory wiped. Hera taking away the person she cares about the most is pretty evil.

Sending Annabeth over Percy wouldn't work and let me explain:
1. It was an exchange of leaders and for all intensive purposes(bc unlike Camp Jupiter, Half-Blood doesn't have leaders) Percy is the leader of Camp Half-Blood after he led the defense of Olympus.
2. Annabeth simply is not powerful enough to single handedly turn the tide against the Giant Army the same way that Percy can especially when you consider that her strength is tactics, but the Romans already have Reyna so it wouldn't have made a massive difference.
3. Hera stated Jason had to learn to trust the Greeks and the Romans had to learn to trust Percy. This is the biggest reason. The Romans are far less trusting than the Greeks(anyone is welcomed and accepted at Camp Half-Blood where as you need a positive augury reading to get in and letters of rec and sponsorships to get a good position at Camp Jupiter) Annabeth would not have worked in this position. She is far too reserved and calculated to immediately trust and want to go on a suicide quest to defend the Romans. Hera needed to send a Greek who would immediately trust the Romans and who inspires those around him the way that Percy does. Hera had to send someone who could save the Romans at there time of greatest need. Annabeth would not have trusted them quick enough to do so.
Maybe change Piper to a daughter of Hypnos, Peitho or Hermes.
