Great video. I have been to the Heiser farm many times. I think the train is a new addition since last time I was there. Dr. Heiser was my medical director when I use to work for McMinnville Fire. What good times. He is a stand-up guy and a great Doctor. Keep up all the good work usnerdoc!

@drzmanproject - great question regarding wadding . . . I saw a UA-cam video from a pumpkin patch in Nebraska where the operator used a big handful of straw for wadding. Dr Heiser is for sure one squared away guy!

Never seen the water-ball competition - that looks so fun - and spectators can have fun getting wet, probably. What a great farm, and Mr. Heiser seems like an excellent individual. On pumpkin cannons, I wonder if they ever add wadding, to make a tighter seal, improving distance and accuracy?

My dad and brother and pretty much whole family built that railroad over the summer of 2010 and it took FOREVER! Not to mention the heat! But, I have fun driving the trains around ad the little kids enjoy it so much! We are the official Grand Island Stables RailRoad! Oh, and the G.I Joe at 1:09 his name is Donnovan.... :)

We live in Sacramento Ca and have been looking at Bend to move to. Maybe we will have to visit west instead of east on our next family trip to check this place out, very nice.

Great vid doc! You inspired me to see if there was a pumpkin farm near me and I think I found one. No pumpkin canons but it still looks like fun. I hope I can take my daughter there this weekend. I will definately get some video of it if I go.
