  • Now shipping with the brighter and better looking Armor Series LED bulbs. Find them here: bit.ly/3LLjDrk
    We tested several different front turn signals trying to find the best and brightest options for traditional amber/amber operation, as well as the new style white/amber Switchback LED bulbs and we now offer them in two kits!
    The Switchback LED bulbs kit operates how you would expect it to, on the parking light circuit it shines white like a Daytime Running Light. And on the blink/turn signal it switches to a high power amber LED light. The white from the switchback bulbs is a little less blue than the Supernova V.3 headlight bulbs.
    The amber/amber option simply does amber light on both parking and turn functions but it's way brighter than stock!

    For anyone who is wondering, you do not have to remove the grill to change the bulbs. If some people would just take the time to look in the owner's manual it tells you how to do it. For passenger side you have to remove the intake tube and the driver side you have to remove the windshield washer tube(both of which are way easier than removing your grill and headlights). Cant believe there are so many videos of people removing their entire grill just to change bulbs. Ford is smarter than that.

    PRODUCT REVIEW.....so I purchased the fog lights (also reviewed) and they performed so well I went all in and purchased the entire LED collection (fog lights, SWITCH BACK TURN SIGNALS, headlights, tail & reverse lights). I can only compare/rate these to the OEM, but YES!!!!! The light color and look is fantastic. The pattern was so good that they lit up enough to compare to the fog lights. Even compared it to the LED option Ford offers, and although I don't have scientific numbers, side by side, they looked to be better in every way then Ford's LED. Only time will tell on durability but so far these are 1 of the best looking and performing LED upgrades I have ever seen.

      Roman B thanks for the feedback. We have tested our LED bulb kits in headlights and fogs to the OEM LED in F150 and F350 trucks and the Supernova LED bulb kits are way brighter.

    Confirmed these bulbs/kit work on the 2020 xlt f250. Thanks for the good video. Might note that the passenger side wire isn’t blue/green. Both sides have the black and blue/grey wires. I just guessed and tapped into the other color that didn’t match and it worked. No hyper flash.

    Lol goes through the effort of using a wire stripper, and solders the connection but doesn't use heat shrink and tapes it up... Classic!

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  6 років тому +1

      Sgt. Shill, Thanks for your comment. I agree heat shrink is the ideal application for covering solder points, but because he was tapping into a wire, creating a T there really was no easy way to use it. He could've cut the wires to make the connection and heat shrink it, but on someone else's vehicle, we don't like doing that.

      Headlight Revolution sounds legit... Lol I'll still place an order with you guys picking up my replacemt for my 06 Harley Davidson Edition this week and just could not justify an almost 5k for the factory LED option no matter how much I like it.. Keep doing things with the super duty trucks always makes for an interesting upload!

    For Ford specifically rather than telling people to put in those resistors I think you should show them forscan and how to go into the pcm and just turn off “bulb outage” much cleaner and no wire cutting. Forscan is free and the wireless obd2 module is fairly cheap. Just a thought.

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  3 роки тому

      That is a great option, but that would be fairly specific, and lets be honest, most normal people are not going to go get that tool just to flash the turn signals. Good idea though!

    Why not hook up computer and change setting to "no outage" then u dont have to worry about a hot transformer. Or damage if it gets wet

      There are nun available yet, but there is a resistor free LED bulb called the GTR Carbide that we offer.

    I got the Switchback bulbs last year for my 2017 Ram 1500. I followed instructions and did the install and worked fine. But, when I turned on my turn signal lights (only at night when head lights and running lights are on) I would get a bulb out warning on my dash. Doesn't happen during the day when headlight and running lights are off, only at night. Contacted Headlight Revolution to solve problem but never got an answer back. Any suggestions?

    I have the Morimoto led switchbacks. I'm just wondering if these dim after being on for a while? i just noticed that when i dont have my parking lights on my turn signal is the right amber color and bright. But when i have my parking lights on (DRL) for just a couple of minutes the turn signal becomes dim with a ugly dark orange color.

    I installed these and instead of all three wires being hooked to plug, I have two wires connected with the third being cut and taped back out of the way. Why would this be?
    I installed but the switch back does not stay white
    Any suggestions? Tia

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  3 роки тому

      You will have to reattach that wire to the connector, that will be the DRL wire that will provide power to the bulb for it to stay on white. Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help! Have a great day!

    My 7444 sockets has 4 wires: 2 black, 1 purple, and 1 blue. When I strip all 4 do I use electrical tape to cover up the unused wires that I don't need the resistor on?

    What if I wanted the switch backs but my turn signal doesn’t turn on at all until I actually activate it by using the turn signal stock?

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  4 роки тому +1

      These are designed to work with vehicles that use the turn signal as a running light, so they will not work if your bulb doesn't do that from the factory. They are designed to replace the factory bulb, and get you more light output for a safer more visible turn signal!

    Any idea if you go to install a switchback on a truck already equipped with OE LED lights if you need the resistors or not? I LOVE the switchback affect on my DD and want to continue that when I get my new pickup.

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  6 років тому

      The switchback function doesn't really have anything to do with the resistor itself, the resistor is in place so you don't get a fast blink error. So long story short, yes you still need the resistor, but not necessarily due to having a switchback bulb. You do it for all LED turn signal bulbs regardless.

      If you already have and led turn signal most likely your truck had the led relay flasher already so no need for resistor

    Why would you want to go from amber to white?

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  4 роки тому

      It does both amber and white. Gives you a DRL style function when your truck never had one. The amber is also brighter than your original bulbs, so that's an added bonus when turning

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  6 років тому

      lococho5555, it really depends on whether your Expedition has projectors or reflector headlights. here are the main options for your low beams:
      Reflector: headlightrevolution.com/supernova-v-3-led-headlights-h11-h16-bulbs/
      Projector: headlightrevolution.com/gtr-lighting-55w-gen-5-pwm-canbus-single-beam-hid-conversion-kit/ - Low beam is a 9005 bulb style
      I'd love to talk to you about this, because there's a lot of options for your vehicle that we can go over. give us a call. 218-755-5505.

    • @kthane4781

      @@HeadlightRevolution you can go into configuration and change settings and wouldnt have to cut wires at all and no amount of electrical tape is going to stop water from intruding and causing the wires to have to be repaired anyway so if need be cut the wires add heat shrink and solder much better repair,
