I can’t thank you enough for the interviews you’re doing with all these Smoky Mountain guys. You have a lot of people that do podcast or have UA-cam channels that get millions of views and to them it’s all WWF/WWE or ECW they will cover WCW stuff but only if it happened during the Monday night war. It blows my mind how many of these guys not only don’t know about places like Smoky Mountain wrestling, but just write it off is something they don’t need to respect. Tom Pritchard is one of the most underrated professional wrestlers ever and I love that you’re giving him this time for this interview. I think of any real wrestling fan that liked WWF or WCW in the 80s or early 90s before the Monday night wars, if they would give Smoky mountain wrestling just a chance they would actually really like it because it is great wrestling with awesome promos and they’re so many good matches, and so many talented people came through there.
18 minutes in i’m sold. I grew up here in Mobile Alabama (30 minutes from Pensacola) and Continental Championship Wrestling was my first exposure to wrestling. We went to the live matches when I was in grade school, it was so awesome. In high school I worked the ring crew for a local promoter that ended up becoming one of my best friends and through him (and the late Paul Bearer, Bill Moody) I got to meet the wrestlers from my favorite promotion and even ride around with the Armstrong family from time to time. Just great people. Kind to everyone regardless of how they met you.
I do too I actually feel bad for Tom. Tom seems like a very good and honest man where his brother is someone who would sell his soul to Vince McMahon and who can’t stand on his own 2 feet.
@@bdr113080 I swear its always like that, the older sibling is always a way better person than the younger sibling, why is that? Look at Charlie sheen and elmilio.
This was an incredible interview....tom was and is a phenomenal guest, so many stories in such detail, seemed happy to be there and came across so genuine..will be watching the second interview next
I am glad to hear that Tom and Jimmy reconciled, because whether they have ever thought about it or not, but they both reached their most successful time in the business when they were with each other. Sometimes life is funny like that when you look back at something and realize that, you had your most success with someone that you didn’t see ITI with all the time. No they were never the WWF tag champs but they were the smoky mountain champions many times over and they were in WWF together as a tag team and they probably were on more PPV‘s Together than their entire career before or after each other. so I’m glad to hear before Jimmy passed. He and Tom got to sit down and kick it bury the hatchet.
Is this worth a watch? I don’t really know this wrestler I believe he is Bruce Pritchard brother? From his look and physique and awkwardness in front of the camera you can tell he is from a different era would struggle against the current crop who are altogether better athletes and spokesmen and spokeswomen than from Tim’s time Bruce has a phenomenal memory and tells great stories so thought might be worth a listen. Let me know
Appreciate what you do for the true fans. Seriously
Most of the legends I grew up watching are gone, glad Dr. Tom is still with us
I’m not sure Tom can be considered a legend?
@@mitchellandrews1015 as opposed to some of the so called legends in the HOF😂

Dr Tom is gold. Well spoken, smart, great worker, even better trainer.

Great interview! I wonder if Dr.Tom was thinking of Rod Price, he also had his hair plugs pulled out.
James you are my favorite podcaster
I like Tom better than I do his brother Bruce... I can tell Bruce is the little brother.
