I have a 2020 Camry LE. Would like to know if I can get the horn to beep when I lock the doors. Currently I can just hear the door locks click. My previous non Toyota car horn would beep when I locked the door. This was really handy when locating your car in a busy parking lot.
I have a 2016 Corolla, so the process might go a little differently for you, but here's how you can enable or disable the lock/unlock chirp in Toyota vehicles produced after 2012: 1) Insert your key into the ignition and turn to "ON" position. You start the car or leave it off, whichever you prefer. 2) Press the "MENU" button on the infotainment system. 3) Select "SETUP" on the screen. 4) Scroll down until you see "VEHICLE" and then press it. 5) Press "Vehicle Customization" 6) Press "Door Lock Settings". 7) Scroll down until you see "Lock/Unlock Feedback - Tone" and press the "+" until you get to a desired volume. 8) Remove the key from ignition and test. This should work, unless the buzzer itself is broken or disconnected.
@@CorollaChronicles my key fob works intermittently; check AND replaced battery (even though original was still showing 3v. I may try above series and see if it will “reboot” the system Also, car alarm goes off ONLY at the golf course…weird, even if I’m 500 yards away, and keys are in my golf cart-so I know I’m not accidentally hitting a button.
I hate Toyota Camry's and Corrolla's!!! Only because that fucking annoying sound to unlock your car and to lock your car!! How many fucking beeps does it take to fucking lock it and unlock it!!! I have a 300C no sound to unlock it and 1 horn blow to lock that's it!! There's no beep beep!!!! Beep beep!!!! And then I hear another fucking beep!!! How many beeps does an incompetent driver need!!!!
My camry is exactly like yours, same trim level and color. Only difference is the year, being a 2015.

My car is the same color both interior and exterior by mine is a 2017
Could this type of sound lock/unlock be applied to the Nissan Sentra 2017 Sv?
Mine doesn't make a sound when I lock it. Only works when unlocking. Do you know how to fix this?
