Heat up the Korkerrest? No, read the instructions, watch the videos. I LOVE this rest, and have a graveyard full of rests. I agree with you about the quality of sound. I have stopped trying anything new once i bought this 4 years ago. I will say that i have 3 customers who have had problems with it because they did something like heating it, or bending it backwards or too aggressively. Pirastro sent a replacement wooden piece to my customers in each case. In my opinion, the only problem with it is the price! Pirastro is the drug dealer of the violin/viola world!

Very nice and useful video, thank you! One question: What is the little metal piece attached on each of your shoulder rest?

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I bought few days ago a cheap Violine and want to learn it. But do not find comfortable solutions how to hold the instrument with no pain during using the fingers of left hand. I live near Mainz and searching somebody who can help me to find the best and comfortable solution how I should start with shoulder or chin holder or without. I tried different positions but ended always with no satisfaction and frustrations. But still want to learn at least to play few simple songs with Violine. Now I am Pensioner but was entertainer for nearly 10 years in the famous Drosselgasse in Ruedesheim am Rhein. I do not know anybody who could help me to solve my Violine problems how to hold it best way considering my individual should and chin and left hand with fingers. Greetings from Moerfelden-Walldorf.

When you put the violin in the case does the Dolfino fit ? Do you leave on the chin rest and take off the shoulder rest ? Would it go in a regular violin case ?

you detach the shoulder part so the violin fits into a standard case.

Would the Dolfino work on your Iizuka? Did you ever try it? Thank you!

What are the gold circular objects on the rests? Are they pencil holders you have attached? And greetings from Australia. I see you have Australia on your top! :-)

Like the reviewer says, if you have neck problems and pain with normal solder rests then try the Dolfino.

I have been to Mainz. I think I took a nice boat down the Rhine river.

Dolfinos shoulder rest I personally don't like the system (it's not about how comfortable or not I haven't try it) its just that you must use their own chin rest, what if you have very good chin rest already you have to remove that and use the Dolfinos system (some people would have nice looking wood chin rest or even carved wood chin rest).

I'd have to sacrifice the Kaufman Chin rest and Xesros Shoulder Pad, which is detached from wrapping around the tailpiece, if investing in the Dolfinos. Aside from that, I'd be willing to save and invest in for my acoustic concert violin.
Though, I own a Yamaha SV200 and it wouldn't make much of a difference from any of the Dolfinos system's chin rests due to how the chin rest on the SV20p is a Guenari/Strad style, that wraps around the tailpiece.

Pirastro dieses produkt ist unbequem, unbrauchbar, kaufen sie es nicht. Punct.
