I recently discovered your channel and I have to say I'm thoroughly enjoying it you are so informative and explain things so well that I just love it. I cannot help myself I'm going to binge watch all of your episodes!! I'm inspired!!
Aww Thankyou so very much, binge watching is awesome, so glad I could help and that you're inspired. :)
Beautiful vase Peter. Love the colour combination and also the shape of the vase.
Thankyou so much, I wasn't sure how it was going to finish up but I am pleased with it. Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching. :)
The china and glass mixture is perfect! 💕
Thankyou so much Dianne, I thought they went well together. Thanks for watching. :)
Love this! I just finished my first piece, I couldn't have done it without you. I eat up every video you post. Love how this turned out. I used the clear laminate, it saves so much time. My piece was 22 x 15 inches, so quite big for a first timer. Cheers!!!
Aww Thankyou so much, glad your piece turned out well and you're right your first piece was quite a large size to take on. So glad the videos are helping you. :)
Well done, you sound so happy. I love Peter’s videos as well.
@@ianlongston8928 Thankyou very much, appreciate that. :)
I bet decoupage tissue or papers would look great like mixed media.
Love this project ❤
Thankyou I enjoy looking at it better than a plain glass vase, yes decoupage is very effective. :)
Thanks for another fabulous video. I learn so much from you. It turned out beautiful. Take good care.
Thankyou very much. :)
this is just stunning! So love the blues!
Thankyou so much Mair, appreciate that. I love blues as well. :)
It turned out beautiful
Thankyou so much Sandi l enjoy seeing it each day. 😊
I do glass on glass. I use weldbond glue. I just made one with a lot of clear textured glass. I did the weldbond wash. It really made a mess. I took it all apart and started over.
Mine is a pattern so the pieces are large. I used a paint brush and painted full strength weldbond in the spaces. I did a double coat. Almost ready to grout. I really hope it works. I love your videos.
Thankyou so much Brenda appreciate that. Weldbond is popular for GOG however it does return back to its original state when it comes in contact with moisture. Using textured glass is fine providing the texture isn't too textured (for removing grout) and its face up and the side you are adhering down is totally flat, if its not then problems can occur. Large pieces of glass tess should also be avoided because it can take a very long time to cure and if the glass isn't totally flat this will exasperate the issue. Sounds like there may be some issues but hopefully it will all work out, fingers crossed. Thanks for watching and commenting. :)
Beautiful.
Tfs & take care 🌺
Thankyou so much, appreciate that and thankyou for watching. :)

What a brilliant design and colors on the vase. Gorgeous!
Thankyou so much Janette, appreciate that. :)
A suggestion for another video is to mosaic the frame around a mirror. Thanks for all of the great instruction!😊
Thankyou so much Karen. I have thought about that and it is on the list, appreciate the suggestion. 😊
Beautiful piece and very informative video.Thank you .

Nice, thank you!
Thankyou so much Carolyn and thankyou for watching. 😊
Lovely
Thankyou so much. :)
Lovely as always. Future video suggestion?: I'm struggling with how to lay out my design for the inside of a bowl. It seems people just go with it and eh voila they have an art piece. I'm looking for a way to design an idea one dimensional and transfer it to a 2 or 3 dimensional work inside a bowl. I'm hoping that makes sense. Haven't had any coffee yet. Thank you again for all of your help.
Thankyou very much, yes Im pretty sure I understand I will look at that, thanks for the suggestion. :)
Hi Peter, loved your video. Where do you buy the adhesive you used please?
Thankyou very much. Mitre 10 here in Australia but just do a Google search to see your nearest supplier or give Soudal a call. :)
Another great video Peter...thanks for the expertise!!
Thankyou so much and thankyou for watching. :)
Beautiful piece and very informative video. You made a comment about using the grinder infrequently. Could you say more about what determines your decision to use it as well as why you don't use it that often? Thank you again for a great video!
Thankyou so much Marcia. A great question. I try and not use the grinder only because I want to improve my cutting skills, if I rely on the grinder those skills wont improve, if I have an issue trying to nip an edge then the grinder comes in handy. I will use the grinder if I find the material is sharp after nipping and there many be an issue with someone receiving a cut if they run their hand over a piece but more often than not the grout hides that edge anyway unless its exposed on the side. :)
That is really beautiful! I love watching your videos. Can you explain to me why you can’t mosaic over a fiberglass shower/tub insert?
Thankyou very much Moe. When it comes to plastics they generally have a low surface energy which means it can be difficult for adhesives to bond to it. I have seen instances where an adhesive vinyl appears to have bonded to a wall that was painted with an acrylic paint and after a a few weeks it started to fall off the wall. Fiberglass is a form of reinforced plastic, now I am not saying it cannot be adhered to and it would also depend on the environment its in and if it has any flex. I am not an expert but I think this is the issue. Thanks for watching. :)
@@TreasuryRoad thank you very much for that info! Guess I will stick to birdbaths for now😁 LOL
Hey there! love the info, very helpful.. I was noticing in your last picture of your completed vase that you can see thru between the mosaic pieces? Is that a pic before the grout? I would love to see the pic after the grout!
Thankyou very much Cathy. The last picture of the vase on the side table is the piece grouted. Because I keep my grout lines narrow and I used grey grout and clear textured glass it creates an openness look which I love. If you pause the video and have a close look in-between the flowers and the focal piece you will see the grout. :)
@@TreasuryRoad oh I like that! Now I see it. Haha. Thanks for the reply.
If the grout dries and you see a void, can you patch it up with wet grout?
I cant speak specifically about your job but generally if you're using normal sanded grout and haven't sealed it, you give the area a light spray of water where you will apply the new grout and then you can grout that area. :)
Did you create the glass flowers on contact?
That's a good question I have done that quite a few times before but I cannot remember if I did for this piece, if I did it would be in the video. :)
Will kitchen silicone work ?
I cant give you advice specific to your product but generally silicone will work, have a read and see what it says or read the manufacturers data sheets. :)
Talk a lot.🤪
I sure can. 🤣🤪
