    Hearing Christina worry about over spending is something I never heard her say before.

    There's always a dramatic "what a disaster" reveal when they enter a house like this, but as they completely gut every house they take on it rings a bit false.

    Really old episode the decor is so outdated long ago that now it would be a 'before'

      Funny how this episode is only 10 years old and virtually all the interior finishes they used look completely outdated now - And that house is probably worth a million dollars now (California inflation lol).

    It was a WHITE mouse, meaning not a wild mouse. It was probably left by the renters. Poor mouse.

    The foam quoins and undersill additions do make the house more interesting. Annoyed that the landscaping feels 'bald'...
    Horrible to walk in and be confronted by a bath...

    Very nicely done. In contrast with today's trends, some of the design has dated since the remodel. Regardless, these shows are great.

    How on earth did people just move out of that place? No doubt off to ruin someone else’s property.🤢

    Curious: The foam pop-outs, won't they get wet in rainy season? Also, the bathroom being right at the door - those should make for really awkward bath times. Otherwise, looks great - a lot of work put in.

    They always do demo so it really does not matter if clean or not. Places full of stuff increases costs to get rid of left trash.

    They saved that house. What a huge risk, but it paid off. I didn't care for the pop outs, but everything else looked really nice for that time period.

    Amount of wood dats being used in the US/Canada for construction of houses is mind boggling!

      This show is a poor example of most US renos. This is done for the cameras. We have many reuse stores and unless contamination is an issue, stuff goes there. Many reuse stores have pickup. Much cheaper than sending to the dump for things that are perfectly reusable, plus it's a tax write off.

    • @rakeshbabu9884
      @rakeshbabu9884 2 роки тому +2

      @@b_uppy Obviously these guys hv tie-ups with reuse stores & that's their source of side-income!
      But my initial point was, in Europe & Asia, houses r made with stone foundations, walls r made of redstone, red bricks, cement bricks, etc. & roof is usually made of concrete. In US literally every part of d house is made of wood & anyone can easily break into a house just using an axe 🤭

    • @b_uppy
      @b_uppy 2 роки тому

      @@rakeshbabu9884
      But people don't. They certainly don't try to use walls as escape routes, either. Think an axe connecting with wires is a deterrent..

    • @rakeshbabu9884
      @rakeshbabu9884 2 роки тому

      @@b_uppy I believe in USA, unlike rest of d world, no body stays at a place for a long period of time! Americans keep moving & moving! So if u build a house made of stone walls & shit, it's gonna b really difficult to change d floor plans & modify it according to d modern living standards! So ppl like these "flipsters"(a proffession which doesn't exist anywer else in d world), gonna keep renovating d houses again & again, literally doubling d real estate prices within months !
      I believe this is one of d reasons of skyrocketing individual house/villa prices & increasing number of homless in d US !

    The saddest thing is that, at one point in time, they were partners and they were a true team. Christina participated fully in the projects. Once she got a stylist and started plastic surgeries, she stopped being a full participant and a true partner. The disintegration of their partnership and their marriage was the saddest thing ever. Even sadder is that we were all so completely fooled. I feel so sorry for Tarek. Everything was confirmed when she dumped her second husband as well. God bless those poor children who are involved. The good thing is that Tarek and Christina left a legacy of some truly good work before she went in such a different direction.
