It's not out of nowhere, the Morytania spider nest has existed in osrs since 2021 and is visited during "A night at the theatre" quest. This cave heavily implied the existence of Araxxor.

honestly its a very old-school friendly boss to port to OSRS, AND I LOVE IT! , since RS3 players got so many osrs ports to RS3 this was bound to happen at some point

Comments on reddit from Jmods make it seem like its fully different from rs3. 2 paths. 1 way is to take on mini spiders first then have an easier boss fight. Other path is to tank the minis and head on boss (faster, but harder)
Osrs taking more and more stuff from rs3 is great in my opinion! There's so much great stuff to work with and the team giving it their own twist to make it fit better is working out really well so far! Super excited to see this!
Just a thought, just giving my opinion but can we see more unique item effects/special attacks? i know voidwaker is strong but i wanna see more special effects that are unique/niche enough that it can be seen in other places. Stat increases are cool but i wanna see variety like those burning claws.

hey team id like to mention that there is a problem with the hunter skill/setting box traps.what is this auto setting trap thing?because its to slow and also if u try set before hand it sets 1 and drops 1 so you cant carry spear traps and this is just bad.

Araxxytes and Nylocas are different species. They're both "Arachnids" but that's where the similarities end.
“Nylocas” comes from the Hungarian language, by the way!:D it is “Nyolcas” scrambled which means “Number 8”

An excellent call to keep the RS3 soundtrack for Araxxor. The boss fight’s mechanics wouldn’t be well-suited to OSRS, but the music is great to keep.
