after trying to find an owl box video that was easy to follow, I AM SO HAPPY I FOUND THIS! This is a great video easily explaining what to do!
Nice craftsmanship- however, the depth is not deep enough to prevent baby owlets from falling out of the box prematurely & dying. It would need to be at least 460-700 mm deep. And adding a small rectangular flight deck with a minuscule downward sloping lip would also prevent a sibling from accidentally pushing the other to the ground & potential death.

NIce Job! i used you dimensions and priced a kit on amazon. Ended up buying what I think was cedar fence boards from hd for 2.87 each 4 and glues and make it. screwed it together and made the front with a 6in opening across the entire front and slanted the roof.................thanks for the inspiration and sharing

I mitered my roof so water would drain better. Is it better to leave it flat? It did cut down in my height.
