I actually like the townhouse better than the apartment. It doesn't make sense to pay $3000 for an apartment. Looking forward to seeing you do travel blogs though 😊❤
I have just moved into an apartment here in Washington DC and I am just exhausted with additional fees. The process was even very difficult for us as South Africans moving to USA. The money I am paying for this one bedroom apartment in USA would give me a penthouse with three bedrooms in Melrose Arch or Sandton with good quality of living and the best view of the city. America is expensive.
Since it’s not going to be your full time home, might as well take the townhome something with a lower price and spend the money on your travels. Looking forward to a part #2 😀
@JulianAlbino 😀 Hey! Happy Valentine’s Day 🥰! So very happy to see you 😊. Love your content, so use to watching you in South Africa 🇿🇦. Yes the rents and sales for buying properties have “skyrocketing” here in America 🥴. Some folks are searching on the internet looking to move abroad 🤷🏽♀️; food prices, etc. at an all time high 🥺. Blessings to your mom health 🙏. Please give us a part ✌🏽. We MISS you, we love you 😘. God Bless 😇
I want to move to Charlotte so bad. I wish you would do a broadcast on the neighborhoods in the charlotte area with affordable housing. Good to see you back.
Missed you glad to see you again ❤. The townhouse is a beautiful. Nice to hear from your mother is doing well ❤. Many blessings for 2024. Don’t leave for so long anymore 💋❤️
If you do buy in US make sure u can air bnb it. I would get a a fixer upper in downtown, condo or town home you can airbnb when you're traveling. I think you should head to Asia like the Philippines and/or Bali.
Yeah Julian, living out of the country spoils us all! I live in Merida Mexico, for 2 years now and I live in a luxury 24 hour secured building, 2 bedrooms for $1200 per month. I'm on my way to Thailand where I can get something comparable to the apartment that you showed for $1000 per month!
Great to see you, Julian Albino. I like the townhouse. I'm glad to hear your mother is fine. I cannot wait for your international travel content. Stay safe!
So happy to hear that Ma is doing better! As far as the US goes... It's a big 'ol scam. Healthcare is terrible, housing is overpriced, food quality doesn't exist, and crime is sky-high. Like you, I've been toying back and forth with the idea of owning in the U.S. and abroad, but I'm leaning more towards abroad with hopes that family will visit or come with me because the U.S. is a sinking ship.
I am leaving Chicago too I am already pack and live in an extent stay hotel and I leave one way ticket March 13 to Africa I am starting. Plus after I am done I am moving to either Las Vegas, Miami or Texas I am leaving Chicago too I am over it
Hello hunni yesss soo glad ure back and ya mother is doing well. Yes the QC is still growing it's a mini Atlanta I like the townhome KEEP LOOKING tho. I'm having a time trying to find something in Nashville moved here new job and career I was soon spoiled living in a college town CHEAP RENT
Hey Julian, it's nice to see you again. Welcome back to the US. If I were you, I would pay a downpayment on one of those townhouses. As you travel, just rent it out. The way I see things, it will be challenging to rent in the next few years.
I'm here in Charlotte and apartment pricing is very high. They are building so many apartments and only building 500K and up homes. They are trying to keep people in apartments forever.
Can you do the townhome and then have your mom move in as well? Then someone is always there to watch it while you’re away and it’s always there and ready for you!
Hey sista. Im actually a black canadian living in a similar situation as you. I live in Vancouver and funny enough despite the fact that its so expensive here.. youd actually be able to afford it because of the currency exchange. But what i wanted to say is that I think it would be such a cunty move for you to move your mom and yourself to an african country like south africa and maybe get your first house or two there. The prices in south africa ranges anywhere from 60k to 300k for decent to premium. Thats basically one of my option because i have to look after my mother also. The usa is not the tea...and so is canada. Im so jealous cuz you got to travel and so far I havent gotten the chance to visit miss africa so yeah if i do make the choice itll be not for traveling but to permanently move there. But non the less I hope you find a place soon and good luck💋
Me an my wife have been watching your vids. For a while we have been to South Africa twice. And was thinking of moving there but when we went to Thailand it change our minds. You should really travel to Bangkok or somewhere else in Thailand you’d get everything you’re saying for 400 a month. Nice nice buildings an amenities
Omg😂!!! No you didn't put my news anchor on blast like that😂😂😂😂😂😂😂! That man is hilarious though. You should definitely try Houston.... far North Houston(Kingwood) OR Midtown.
Great to have you back Julian. Wondered where you disappeared to. Even thought my notifications got switch off 😂. That first unit has a great balcony, but even in dollar terms, that $ 2984 is way too steep 😮. Also, it looks so bland and white to me. Is this normal in the US, or were they just trying to save money on putting on another coat of paint?
One of the best things i've done in my adult life is move to Mexico. Rent is 1300 USD for a super spacious, light filled floor to ceiling window/doors (on all walls) 2 bed 1 bath apartment right on the beach. It doesn't have any dishwasher or oven tho... so that sucks. because I missed those modern conveniences, I got an apt in ATL for 2.6k monthly, 2 bed 2 bath loft (kept the mexico apt too). I regret it soooo much ended up leaving ATL after 4 months and back to mexico. Looking at those views of barren construction and other apartments are not it... no sea, no sand no vibes... no music and ppl laughing outside with sea breeze in the air... it's so depressing. that entire scheme in the USA is literally a scam. And no, most ppl cannot afford that rent, so they live to work barely making enough to pay that and the rest of their bills. and it ends up being a vicious cycle bc they have to leave that apartment anyways bc rent goes up after a year. Just wondering when it's all gonna crash.
oh not to mention the hoops they want us to jump thru just to secure an apartment! I love that literally everywhere else, if you're interested, just pay and boom. thats your apartment now. in the USA, yeah right, i'm seeing crazier and crazier application requirements for apartments now!
Way too much construction at the Raven. That’s going to be miserable trying to work from home. Townhomes are definitely better but $3k is a lot for a place you won’t be in most of the year.
Hey Julian! Ive been following you for a couple years now, i love your travel vlogs and just your personality in general! I also happen to be a Real Estate agent myself in Pennsylvania with the ability to get a reciprocal license in New York and Maryland. and I am fascinated with how you are able to do Real Estate while traveling. While im still kinda new to Real Estate, I have been able to close a deal out of state entirely online so i know what it feels like but i would like to keep the ball rolling. i was wondering if maybe you had any tips you could give me with doing realestate online because im tryna get on your level , lol😂. But if you ad any tips or pointers for doing Real estate online, I would greatly appreciate it! keep doing what youre doing!
Glad your mom is doing better! 🙌🏾 You’re looking great!!! ❤

Yes I was trying to move I'm from St. LOUIS and the prices are ridiculous... I might as well stay put its cheaper but high if you get what I'm say

very overpriced

It's a no-brainer. The townhouse it waayyy better AND cheaper. $3,000/mo. In Charlotte?!? No way.

The townhouse is the only options if you are looking for good value, did it have a back yard?
no real backyard. just a shared grass space that I would have to share with the other neighbors.
