- Did You Know There's Plexiglass Inside Your Computer?
I'm testing a new tips and tricks format. Let me know if you like it in the comments.
In the episode I show that there are a few useable materials inside old flat screen computer monitors. You can find a plexiglass like plastic and some other diffuser sheets. It's worth opening them up before you send them to the recyclers.

I like this format idea. You might consider adding a little brainstorming session in there too. For example, what you might use those old TV parts for. The phone stand is a good one!

Just wanted to chime in and say that this is the most useful video I've come across in a while. I've taken apart two monitors I've found in the trash and gotten the plexiglass out of them. One was about 1/4" thick and the other was 3/8". That's saved me a ton of money! I'm making a lamp out of one of them right now. Thanks so much for this awesome tip (and hopefully series)
+Eric Ellenbrook Thanks for the feedback Eric! That's great to hear!

Keep up these videos and keep them as short as the project allows. I liked that this one was to the point and not some drawn out time lapse of non-value adding footage.

Yes, I like the idea! Now I'm gonna search for a broken down flat screen tv and build me some camera lighting. Thanks!

Excellent video... gotta keep my eyes out for dead flat-screens now! I could use those diffusers for a project I am working on right now and EVERYONE loves to have a nice sheet of plexiglas in the shop. The 'DID YOU KNOW' idea is a great one... Perfect for suggestions from your subscribers... everyone who makes stuff has one or two of these in their back pocket.
Thanks! Asking my subscribers for suggestions is a great idea.
