I've been running around in my old YJ with the winter breeze for so long I hardly care anymore.
    Embrace the suck
And just think the next time you're cold how much worse it'll be in July heat... Lol

After a while you don't think much about it anymore. You just roll 😀 . Although I deal with the summer heat better than the bitter winter cold.

Tennessee is finally starting to warm up again. It got down into the teens. Hopefully, we are about to see spring weather real soon. You can have the single-digit stuff 😀 Been there done that! Hope you are doing well!

I just got out of my 93 YJ and I had to keep the heat on medium and it’s 13 degrees outside

I just bundle up, I run like you do except with out the window inserts.

That pretty much what I do. One winter I ran a hardtop with 2 missing windows. I installed a windjammer on the roll bar to knock off most of the wind. The not-so-smart thing is I had a good YJ top with all the glass in it. I could more than afford a new soft top at the time ... eh .. just roll with it!! LOL

I hate to say it, but my '93 YJ pumps out crazy heat. Even with the soft top on. I did have to replace my factory blower switch with a cheap Chinese 12v motor control, but it works great :)

Mine does pretty well also. That small soft top helps even more. I'm going to check out the 12v motor control. That's a great idea!!!

@@Poweraddicts I have the hard top on mine, but I installed the Bestop rear curtain to cut the cab off from the cargo area to help with the heat. Been a cold winter here in Philly. Wish I could post a pic of my blower fan control, but it's basically a 12v rotary motor control I got off of Ebay for like $20. Wired it to my fan motor and mounted it in my dash. Now I have a dial to control my fan speed and not just a three setting switch...

Hey Chuck actually my question is about the Rough country sway bar links disconnects 4 to 6 inch....can you cut the sleeve to fit down to a 21/2 lift on a 95 YJ your opinion...and thanks for all your videos From the hot weather Miami Fla lol

    • @Poweraddicts
      @Poweraddicts  3 роки тому +1

If they are built like the ones I used to run then yes they can. The ones I used to run could have been cut down, then drill a new hole for the pins and it would have worked fine. I dont run end links at all now. My sway bar it tied to my frame. I should just take it the rest of the way off.

South Texas weather calls for a softtop. It doesn't get too cold. 40s in the morning and 70s at evening. I was thinking about a hardtop but im glad i went soft. During summers i just take it off. Kids love it.

    • @Poweraddicts

I really prefer soft tops. Even when it is in the 20s like it is now.

My '91 YJ's heater blows lukewarm at best and doesn't heat much at all and below freezing my feet freeze.
    Is there a solution?
For the seat I trimmed a camping pad to fit and that insulation makes a big difference, but my feet ...

Sometimes flushing the heater core gets some of the junk out allowing for better heat. A new or stronger blower motor may be required as well.

Great video Chuck,do you have a video on installing a hard top on your YJ,and all the components that are used in putting it on? I just purchased one but it needed work, just wanting to make sure I have everything to install it correctly. Btw I will be up your way next weekend picking up my hard doors.

    • @Poweraddicts

I'm going to be putting my hard top back on soon to do some more work to it. I'll make a video of what is needed.
