Another great info vid! My 88 doesn’t have one so I didn’t know anything went there. Thanks for your videos for us novices! After this I’m removing the track bars.
Glad the videos help!!
If you laid the original template at a diagonal across that plastic replacement, you would get the length,
Whats some things to look for why my alt gauge never reads right even replaced cluster
Checking the dash grounds. Check the wiring going out to the alternator. Thing is with the YJs, the alternator gauges are typically a volt or two off. They are rarely dead on accurate,
I also went as far as making a water shield out of flashing inside the dash to help protect around the radio. Great idea with the cutting board.
That is a great idea! Thanks for dropping in!
In one of your other videos where you showed us how to lower the soft top. I need to know what is the part # for that top? It is exactly what i need for my 91 yj.
Here is the top in that video: amzn.to/3mBNCVF . Thanks for dropping in.
Awesome sir I didn't even know there was one Now I know how to make one
Glad I could help!
I really need this
Make ya one! Hope it works!
Thanks a lot Chuck I appreciate that now I know how to solve my water dripping but now I have a new project for my 99 Jeep and I have 35-in tires it presses up against the soft top and I cannot use it to open or close the tailgate what can I use to solve that problem
Your welcome for the water solution. As for the spare tire, the best thing you can so it get rid of the factory tire carrier and use a bumper mounted swing out style. I'm running a 33 on mine and thats really pushing my luck. The 35 will eventually start causing damage to the rear door due to the weight of that tire. Here is a link to some ideas: amzn.to/3mvQrrk
@@Poweraddicts thanks Chuck I'm going to check the wreck yards near me see if I can get one before I go to Amazon
When scribing lines like that, it usually works better if you flip the knife upside down and use the back edge of the tip instead of the sharp side.
Haha, never mind - I see you finally did it that way. :)
Its all good!! 😀😀😀😀😀
I love your videos. I’m from east TN lol. I got a no start 95 YJ with the 2.5l... do you have any advice for the wiring harness? I’ve replaced the fuel pump and filter trying to fix this. I’m now assuming it’s electrical due to my o2 sensor being chewed up and other spots of exposed wire... I need a solution on a budget.
The thing is, I have no CEL codes. I was driving and it acted like it my gas pedal did nothing. She chugged out and I thought the fuel pump went. It acted like a stall but felt like running out of gas. Idk what to look for :(
Often time with a no start it can be the Crank Shaft Position Sensor or Cam shaft Position Sensor. Those are the only 2 sensors that will cause a no start situation.
@@Poweraddicts thanks for the reply. I've been looking for information and I've resorted to asking in YT comments... Thanks for the info!
I don't know if your theory or work holds water.... Lol. 🤣. Luv ya!
Sup buddy!!! ✌
How is the water even getting there?
Rain blowing in when the top is off. Getting crazy wheeling in water. I've had it happen before.
I have water that drips from behind my dash. It comes it collects inside windshield channel by defrosters. I can reach my hand in by the windshield wiper arms fell the water sitting there. Any thoughts how I can stop this? Water pisses all over my feet
@@nickphillips8682 Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same issue.
Great informative video, you make learning fun, I just recently purchased a 90 model Jeep Wrangler Sahara and I'm considering putting a lift kit on it because the front of my leaf springs are bent, what lift kit would you recommend to replace all that. Thanks again keep up the great work
Thanks!! Glad you enjoy the videos!! As for the lift kit look at Old Man Emu or Rubican Express.
