I own a huge book about the entire history of the Jeep. As I recall, the classic WWII Jeep was intended to quickly and easily break down with just a few men and few simple tools. This allowed quick battlefield repairs by combining good parts from two or more wrecked ones, and it allowed a Jeep crew to hand carry it over/past otherwise impassable obstacles. I have seen this crew, or one like it, doing the same routine in towns whose parades I participate in, and I have regarded it not as a stunt, but as a demonstration of an important design feature of the Jeep.
they were also dropped from planes in several parts,, thats why it was important to be able to build them quickly
You don't know what you're talking about! It's a gimmick, just like magic it's an illusion.

Just every essential part
No wires, no bolted parts, amazing!
there was not for wiring in the old CJ5. It was the classic "KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID" jeep. Simple to fix and simple to drive. Everyone in basic when i was in had to learn to drive a jeep before leaving basic. GREAT fun!
When you leave your car parked on the street in Detroit be like
I googled "how to remove starter from my 98 jeep Cherokee and this video came up.....smart asses..lol
that is HILARIOUS lmaooooo
So now you repaired the whole car in 10 minutes?
@@spikethorn2 No.... took about 2 hrs, with no one cheering. I was wearing a red shirt though.👁👃👁
🚙
😂@@rickhilliard2545
This video is basically how to remove a Jeep from its starter😂
You used to be able to buy Vietnam era surplus jeeps like this one out of the back of comic books. They cost about $50 if I remember correctly.
Are you being serious mate? I would’ve bought as many as possible haha
@@kronikal1 100% dead serious. They were ex-Vietnam war service jeeps. They would ship it to you crated in pieces and you’d have to assemble it yourself. Usually half of the parts were missing, but still….
@@evilengine9 I'd buy 2 or 3 of those crates just to have spares
That's pretty impressive! In less than 2 minutes, they took that jeep apart, that's pretty good! In just a couple of minutes more, they reassembled the whole thing, amazing! Good job, I'm impressed and I'm not impressed very easily!
I can't even find my keys that fast to leave my house.
ua-cam.com/video/YMi-yrjM4kg/v-deo.html
These guys did it in less than 2 minutes
"You dont need to find your keys, We'll build you another car faster."
Yeah you can I believe in you.
In all these years and all those blockbusters nothing beats the reality.
COME ON JIFFY LUBE...I ONLY WANTED AN OIL CHANGE!
Seems like there’s probably some loose bolts in there. I didn’t see any wrenching on the engine mount. Still pretty neat though. Bet you can’t do that with a 2021 jeep.
It does it by itself.
@@thehugob77 lol
For sure. And some modifications done as well. But it’s a rehearsed demonstration that is for entertainment. Would still be fast I’m sure but wouldn’t be as fun to watch if they took 10 mins wrenching and hammered on things.
Got that right! It'd take you longer than this just to get the upper radiator hose off! Of course modern cars are intentionally made to be difficult for the layman to work on so you'll give up and take it to the dealership.
@@cmc4741 actually this thing is not modified. they were built this way for being dropped out of planes onto battle feilds. im sure they felt sloppy, but i doubt anything was really loose, as in gonna come off, more sloppy than anything, but those things ran great, my grandpa used to always tell me stories involving them. some how he never mentioned they came apart like this, and when i found out they did he had already past.
Faster than charging tesla :)
Damn thats hella cool.
Teamwork was the motive here, I believe.
This is why the old jeeps are better. The new jeeps you could be fiddling around for hours to make a modification.
Modification? my ass, it takes along time just to change oil in the new vehicles.
the modern jeeps in our country is being carried many passengers for transport you too destination
These are sustainable cars. They might pollute more with those engines, but you only need to build one and it will last 50 years. Easy to repair over and over, parts are interchangeable, and any dent or scratches will just make it look cooler.
Come here after watching reel on Instagram! 😂
Nice. I just found my wrench.
Wow didn’t know it did that
🤩absolutely AMAZING✊🏽
Im curious about the coolant in this engine.
i believe its just plain water
Probably air cooled
They always fit a radiator to the engine but no water is seen. Do they jus rev the engine for just enough to demo its running without water?
@@konstantinNeo yeah.. probably running without water
It’s air cooled
When America was great
It's obviously made to be quickly taken apart and put back together as needed on the battlefield
Even with the cow stepping, great job! HATE that glossy green on a classic CJ5! And 1 last thing, when I was in the 11 svc bn and the 1 svc bn, we called that field stripping our CJ5.
Dude i fucking love the cj platform so much
Me to. Though, I would not have minded seeing a small v6 engine put into it. @@3stacks_rt
Simply amazing
!
Radiator must be very low since there was no fluid pouring out once they removed it.
Outstanding !!
Happy Independence Day!❤
Holy crap!
need 72p version asap
how come nothing drips?
I wouldn’t want to be driving that down the highway lmao..
3.30 minutes less for dissambly and re assembly, that rumor is true
amazing
they have quick disconnects for fuel and battery?
Really cool
Hey you gonna change your oil this weekend? Nah don't have time
Amazing
Car creation in games be like
Does the military train like this for all vehicles? Like tanks ?
no but watching a group of like 14 people try and disassemble a tank would be a pretty cool sight
Next. Freaking. Level.
Back when engineers were engineering
Im gonna buy me one just to disassemble and assemble lol and offroad too
no fuel lines no electrical harness no drive shaft no water in radiator no schackle pins no bolts in body not one spanner needed Would like to see that thing on dirt road ha ha They quicker than Verstappen in the pits
Me and the bois when the tax commission checks if I have a car
Well..the muffler was already hanging off
Yeah I saw that
Да! Разобранный вездеход,угнать сложно!
Which army is this?
Canadian AKA globohomo
This is the ‘Mad Max’ Jeep. The one impervious to EMP and an be field scavenged for parts.
Does the Humvee doe this too?
If everyone in a team project did his work .
Super 😮
If you can’t fit your family in your giant SUV watch this!!
No front or rear driveshaft no fuel tank or lines no radiator hoses no battery or wiring no clutch or shift linkage! Great teamwork but simply isn’t real world
What ia the modern equivalent?
there isn't any.
Muffler was left hanging on by a thread clearly seen towards the end of the video
Now if they could do that with a 5/4 ton truck from the 1970s.

I doubt the bolts are all torqued down.... it may be quick to take apart and put together but in all honesty a day in combat conditions and the bolts wouldnt be that easy to remove and if they where they would be from here to Vietnam on the road ways and docks.
...never a torque spec to be found...
amazing :)))))
Let’s see u take the engine out of one of those new dodge jeeps in a week.
