  • Can an MS diet help? Can what we eat really help with multiple sclerosis symptoms, chronic illness, and long term outcomes? Yes, yes it can. In this video I provide the reasons I eat a whole food plant based (WFPB) diet to help with my brain health, help with my MS symptoms, and overall health. I share the research behind how an anti-inflammatory diet can help with our symptoms and also help prevent or manage other conditions like hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, depression and anxiety.

The best study is a personal one.
If you want good health and to be happy give your body what will serve it Cheat days {not with just food)only hurt your health while giving you a brief good feeling. Taking control of your body, mental and emotional state, and soul takes awareness along with journaling to expose where more work needs to be done. What is working today may not in 5 years as our bodies age, life happens, and toxicity around us increases.
My goal is to feel amazing, be happy, and have a purpose to get up each day. You have options Take the ones that will serve you best to be in the place you want to be

Diet to controle health issues is super important as I studied now for over 30 years first hand
Low to no added oxydizers to food
Is quite important and really liked what you said regarding diet was great
Ann Wigmor pioneered the modern live food diet which she promoted in her books and she explained the truth very nicely verifying her info with doctors and people she helped at her place in Boston

I will stick to my heavily plant based but i did spend 3 years on Eselstiens diet and my gut was never happy with the legumes. 3 years of constant bloating and associated discomfort. So now i eat chicken breast, fish and occasionally grass fed beef. Body is happier with that. Suffer with fatigue on both diets.

Great video! I feel in my gut (no pun intended) that this is the best way of eating for MS, just haven’t made the switch yet. Very informative. Thank you!

I'm so happy I found your Channel. I got newly diagnosed in March, I am vegan since 2019 but slipped from a Whole food plant pased diet into more drinking, eating a lot of processed food, sweets etc. Gained weight back, felt awful and then I had my first MS symptoms in january 2022. I had problems with seeing on my eye. At this time I was in a Clicic for treatment of panic attacks and the Doctors said i don't need an MRI after my vision came back and it healed all alone. But This january, almost exactly on the same day, my vision blurred again, the pain came back and this time the other eye was effected too. I got everything checked out and there was my Diagnosis. I know of the benefits a plant based diet has on our body and researched a lot more because I always concentrated on Heart problems ore Diabetes type 2 and was very lost. Sorry for the wall of text but here goes my question: Do you all do this while you take your meds or do you don't take any MS medication? I'm so confused what to do because my immunesystem is wrecked and I don't want to make things worse with immunesupressive meds, but also I don't want to risk a flair up of my MS symptoms. I higly appreciate any form of answer, even links to research or sites where I can get more informaton about it

Hi! Thanks for watching. I do take a DMT. The research definitely shows that they are effective at reducing relapses and possibly slowing disability. I can’t give medical advice, but recommend working with your doctor on which ones might be best for you. It will s a very personal decision on which one to take. There are two neurologists on UA-cam that have done videos on different DMTs that you may want to check out, Dr, Aaron Boster and Dr. Brandon Beaber.

Hello. Just curious, what about the defense poisons that plants have to protect them from being consumed? Also studies showing large amounts of carcinogens in common vegetables, broccoli, etc. Hence why young humans despise vegetables. Humans eat things that taste good and is satiating. Brussell sprouts before you lather them in stuff are sour and off putting.

Thanks for watching. The lectins in beans that are the defense mechanism I think you might be alluding to are taken care of in the process of cooking.
I am not sure of the carcinogens you are referring to but if you would like to let me know what they are I can look into them. The sour in plants like Brussels sprouts is from sulforaphane which is very beneficial. I did a whole video on that topic. You can check it out here ua-cam.com/video/2thOjodnmqY/v-deo.html

@EvenSoItIsWell Thanks for your response. It's difficult nowadays with so much information. I've been battling MS for 15 years. I did the raw food diet. I did the carnivore diet. I feel when I was on the raw food diet. I was really weak, and I had no strength at all. After I did a lot of research. I found out that plants don't want to be eaten by animals, That's why a lot of fruit plants have hard shells thorns around them
. Green plants don't have that kind of defense, so they have chemicals in them to defend against being eaten. That fact is really easy actually to look up. so that's why I get confused. I've been doing the meat and fruit diet now. And that seems to work the best for me more along lines of the Whals protocol. The fat from the meat stimulates my brain and gives me strength. I feel this has been the best for myself and my journey. God bless you.

@@Miceliism you are welcome! I completely agree! There is so much information out there that it is hard to decide. I am glad you are doing well with your diet! One of the things I am noticing with the research is those that cut out highly processed foods and “food-like” products, processed grains (flours and breads), and increase their whole fruit and vegetable intake do much better health wise. Continue to be well!
