Beyond brilliant!! One of the true giants still remaining with us... God bless you dearest Rajeev ji!! You are an extraordinary example of unique, deep, uncompromised artistic integrity to the world!
Pantuvarali in Karnatak music. Not easy to play this raga without making it sound like Puryakalyan. Compare 'Shiva Shiva enaraaada' with 'Jnanamu sakaraada' or ' Meenakshi mudam'. When we respond or react to music, it is important to think about the amount of practice that the musicians put in. Pandit Taranath went hungry many a day while he was learning the sarod from Ustad Ali Akbar Khan in Calcutta, but he didn't give up his pursuit of music. Please be kind in your comments. please
@@pritamkundu3611 Thank you for the correction! Mezrab is also the santoor mallets, and all Iranian plectrums. It comes from Arabic "paddle". Jaba is usually made from coconut or turtle shell?
@@pritamkundu3611 Nice strong material, no turtles harmed :) Curious, Afghan Rubab - ancestor of Sarod - the call the pick Shabaz but Mezrab in Persian
No words to express this bliss...You are a gem Pandit Ji...
What a great concert. He brings feelings of strength or "veera rasa", as this is also his Guru Ustad Ali Akbar Khansahib's approach to this deep raga.
Super sir
Lankadahan Sarang brought me here. Beautiful:-)

It is called "Jaba" for Sarod , "Mezrab" is used in Sitar
