The Acolyte Series has just dropped another bombshell on its fans and viewers. And just as we all predicted, it is just another Disney production that focuses more on identity politics and less on the plot that makes it likable.
Now, we all know that the Acolyte series is one that was made to pander to a certain minority of minorities. The showrunner, Leslye Headland has repeatedly admitted to making it all-inclusive and modern. She has said it in multiple interviews and even doubled down when all the backlash came rolling in.
Fans of the Star Wars franchise who decided to give this series a shot were left disappointed when a well-expected reveal was made in episode four...

So, how does "modernizing" STAR WARS line up with "A long time ago in a galaxy far away..."?

Im perfectly fine not watching any new star wars. There is enough non-woke content to keep you occupied for multiple lifetimes. I dont need disney star wars. Expanded universe is the true canon anyways.

I saw the Firestarter remake (it was crap). And in it, a father and his daughter (who was like 6) bury a dead cat they find. The daughter asks the father to say something, and I kid you not, the father prays that the cat finds peace while using pronouns. He says, and I quote "Take care of this cat, and may he, or she, or they, rest in peace".

It's not so much who is casted for what role as it is their thinking that's all it takes to make a show good. This show has failed in every way possible and it is hilarious to watch it get all the roasting it well deserves. Disney & Media introducing the show through the lens of race, morals, and sexuality caused problems before the show ever even aired but ultimately it is poor writing / screenplay & breaking established lore, recasting good guys as not so good and bad guys as not so bad, ultimately what made this show the spectacular failure that it is. They could have rebuilt a 3rd world country from the ground up with the amount of money they are throwing at their progressive nonsense to no avail. That would've been a much better example of virtue signaling than this crap-show.

i'm confused. are some of the jedi supposed to be gay in this show? because that isn't supposed to matter for a dogmatic jedi. yes we see them being tempted eg obi wan but they aren't supposed to be a sexual being

Its not the actors or causes they are representing for me. It's the bad and lazy writing. It was clearly done by writers who didn't know much about star wars

    A $180 million, 8, approximately 35-minute, episode TV show.🤦🏽‍♀️
Will Headland be run out of Hollywood? Will she be exposed as the hack, or will she fail upwards?🤷🏽‍♀️

I do wonder what Kathleen Kennedy thoughts about the Monsterverse

More signs that Kennedy should have been fired and banned from Hollywood and also should have kept the true canon (The Expanded Universe)

I’m my humble opinion the problem isn’t representation. At least not to me. The problem is forced and bad representation. If they treated a nonbinary character like a human being and didn’t make a huge deal out of there sexuality I think that would be way more healthy and help normalize nonbinary people. Just my opinion though.

What's the problem with minority actors? Why are you referencing each one's rce?

The problem is they don't care about the quality. They are just pushing woke views on to people because they think they are all special (they aren't)

Because they always focus on race when hiring, which means they start out by excluding the bulk of potential applicants before ever considering actual qualifications.

@@rolandswift4311 You are answering a different question. The way he said "the blk" means he also is focused on it. It had no bearing on the character.

@@rolandswift4311 So, you would consider a white cast to not be focused on rce?
