We Spent The Night At An $800 Japanese Inn In A Forest | Kyoto, Japan | Momijiya Bekkan Kawa No Iori

This ryokan near Kyoto cost us $800 - a hefty price compared to what we usually spend for a night in Japan. That being said, the experience was unlike any other we've had. Surrounded by beautiful trees and the constant trickle of the nearby river, we felt like it was well worth the money.

Oh 800$ for 1 night? I'm going in late September and according to the actual prices it's around 400$ for 2 people. I hope it won't change until then! What was the name of your room by curiosity? What are the check-in and check-out times? Sorry didn't find this information on their website yet. Really nice video by the way! ^.^

@@bunchanofficial Quick question, where is the shuttle pick up location? I looked through my reservation details but couldn’t identify which subway station the ryokan shuttle picks up from

We took the shuttle from JR Hanazono station because we found the JR stations easier to navigate than the subway ones. We had to call them beforehand to book a spot (they spoke English). There is another pickup station listed on their site here: www.momijiya.jp/access/
