Actually the Athena necklace is supposed to be Medusa's head. If you didn't caught small snip she try to shield herself using Medusa head when zeus is about to strike her.
Funny how the two little people have to redress Hera, seemingly not caring about the fact that they just got half naked. This suggests that Hera frequently strips during conversations
I mean I don't think you last to long as Hera's attendant if you ever question orders XD. "Did she just..." "Trust me kid, we aren't paid enough to ask"
I think that in this animation in particular, the whole redressing part is meant to represent her being restrained by her marriage with zeus (its better exlplained in the og video :)
@@DarthEdgyBoy Yeah, he was actually specifically mentioned as patron of the crippled. in greece when someones cheating on u we say "he/she is wearing you horns on your head" Hera has horns and it shows shes been cheated on and Zeus has horns cuz he was transformed as a white bull to steal Europa
Hey we say the same in Spanish! If someone is being cheated on we say that 'le estan poniendo los cuernos' (they are putting horns on you) . Heck there is a popular song that's called 'El venado' (The buck) about how a dude goes arround town and people keep calling him the 'deer/buck'
I was about to say this, a more direct translation of the words Greek people use would be "they horned you" which basically means what you said. I also think the reason why Zeus has horns could be because he is associated with bulls while hera has them because she is being cheated on, it could also be a nod to the fact that Hera and Zeus are siblings
Hephaestus's design that most animators do is based on the actor, who is Jorge's Dad fun fact! Anniflamma based her design more off the actual god, which is cool in a different way! Also, the main cannon going around right now for why Zues blasts Athena with his lightning (you might have heard it already) is: Athena: Never once has he cheated on his wife. Zues: And i took that personally.
@@AzelaAndFriends hm Anni's Hephaestus didn't look like any depiction of Hephaestus I've ever seen is what I meant. Not just in epic but Greek art and stuff like that too. 3:23 They are thinking that it was ripped out, it does justice to mythology, when Hera threw Hegestus from Mount Olympus for being born ugly, he injured his leg leaving him lame, the allusion they made is that the injury led to amputation, at least that's what I think it is

I think Athena's necklace is supposed to be an owl feather? As for Hephaestus' prosthetic, I think the intention is probably more that his leg was injured when Zeus/Hera (probably Zeus in EPIC's continuity, lbr) threw him off Mount Olympus.

Its a reference to the Aegis shield which has been depicted as that, a shield or an armor

It's for ✨flare✨
In Greek Mythology when he was born Hephaestus wasn’t perfect so Zeus throws him from Olympus into a volcano and with that damages one of his legs.
oh i thought that just made him ugly, i didn't know it spesifically damaged his leg
So Hephaestus' story starts from being yeeted of a mountain instead of tower

I thought it was Hera who threw him off Mount Olympus, so disgusted by his ugliness that she didn't even want to show him to Zeus.

I think it's mostly because Hera and Zeus are associated with cows and bulls, which is why Zeus actually transforms into a bull when he crushes Athena
