- "Six Men Getting Sick," or "Six Figures Getting Sick" is a short film directed by David Lynch in 1967.

What a great way to start and get into the right vibe and mindset when you are about to explore lynch's filmography for the first time
Came across this one night on TV at whatever o clock in the morning with all the lights out and it terrified the fuck out of me
“I was painting a painting about four-foot square and it was mostly black but had some green plants and leaves coming out of the black, and I was sitting back probably taking a smoke, looking at it, and from the painting, I heard a wind, and the greens started moving, and I thought, ‘Oh, a moving painting, but with sound. And that idea stuck in my head. A moving painting.”

Plaster casts of his face, projection of illustrations onto it, some film things that are a bit too complicated for me at the moment. You can read about it - I think he was able to create this on a budget of 250$. This is what got him the American film grant iirc. Mixing and messing with mediums never fails to win me over

Just like all his other films. Manipulating you into feeling a certain way by use of clunky visuals and sound. It looks silly, unrealistic, maybe contrived, but then the emotional punch takes your breath away

The thing is it isn't suppose to be deep, i doubt Lynch even meant something by this, it was literally practice for him
@@evilzone7574as an artist I agree true to the art life is throwing it at the wall making it stick catching the big fish so to speak. It becomes deep, usually when true to the idea and authentic without expecting something absolutely grounded or solid in return, immediately.
@@hans5500 yeah, that's the way i look at art, i'm pretty sure most authors doesn't ever think about many things people may see in their creations, but they rather bring some ideas subconsciously just because they are who they are

@@finley8367the rendition that some AMAZING HUMAN CREATED with taking notes of his notes, and trying to re-edit to salvage his (lynch) creative control in the project and boy is it a completely different film in the best way possible. You can’t argue with the beauty of the brutalistic and misty planetary bases/ships . Esp how they were able to do those shots

Because it's Satanic Pedo Art. It even has the symbolism "boy lover" swirl that appears in the stomachs. He has an art painting called "Chicken Head Blue" go look it up. It's a face of a little boy with a destroyed mouth gaping hole open in pain. "Chicken" is code word for boy in their language. The FBI did a report on that. This is the darkness of this rich & powerful "crowd". As soon as I saw "Academy Awards". We have all been lied to. I hope the world wakes up. Symbolism will be their downfall.
