At the moment, I use this channel to upload short films and similar things from filmmakers I like, just so I can have them all together. I won't put ads on these or monetize them, and they are already scattered online. This is just to simplify things for myself.
"Murder à la Mod" (1968) - Brian De Palma
realized I had a better copy of this than the version available on UA-cam or the Internet Archive (unless the quality drops when this gets uploaded) so thought I'd post!

Confused why he couldn’t just lock the door from inside
Ooooomph🥵 I bet Lynch showed this disturbing thing here to all the actors of the nightmarish Winkie's scene to set the mood right
netflix: are you still watching? somebody's daughter: 0:58
I wanted to watch this before i get the DVD for Beau Is Afraid and i cant wait for 3 hours of this! IM HYPED ALREADY!
Sometimes I wonder what it must feel like to be loved by a mother this much, or at all.
THIS SHIT IS FIRE
I got the dvd of Eraserhead (A David Lynch movie) and it included this and I watched it in a dark room at night and rethink my decision to watch it Loved it but Why did I do this?
This shit was fucking hilarious I wish I watched high because if it’s this funny sober 😂😂
This guy wrote The House That Jack Built btw
The horror of a boysmom
This reminded me off a Pixar/disney movie. The transition were smooth and clean asf. I also love how the scene were the coffin gets carried away is similar to the scene that the mother imagined how his son will drive away, it was kind of a parallel saying no matter what you do, you will lose him anyways.
4:10 this queen
"You remember me taking these" "do i" "oh you definitely remember"
I love how the guy with the Swiss Army knife turns around so casually like “welp, that didn’t go as planned!”
The original analog horror
How could something be that terrible ????
Ari got mommy issues
This final is better than the original💛
all because he forgot his dental floss and left the door open. why couldn't he have just buy a new one at the airport?
´this not scary at all, the second part yes it really does is scary af
lars is satan and i love him for it.
well he still liked bebop jazz even as a teenager
Fun (albeit slightly somber) fact: during production of this commercial, David Lynch was working with people who had worked before with Federico Fellini. Fellini had been hospitalized months prior but was now being transferred to a hospital in Rome, where they were shooting the commercial. Lynch, a huge admirer of Fellini’s work, asked if he could pay him a visit and say hello. Eventually, he sat down with Fellini and talked with him about the old days. A few days after his visit, Fellini suffered a stroke and went into an irreversible coma. Fellini died a few months later on October 31st, 1993.
I like these scenes too but solid choice you picked for actual movie. Your soundtrack on both this video and the movie are excellent
I get it now, he's literally living IN THE CLOSET!!! 😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤ MUCH LOVE, GREAT SHORT!
David Lynch has seen some shit
que el corto simboliza porque algunas escenas son tan abstractas que parece el umbral del infierno
1:30 What did he say 😳
Men bad, women good. Lul Murika.
Ari Aster is great and all but he clearly hates women right? Mental illness and therapy and trauma are all delusional buzzwords to him, it’s all made up, and 95% of people are insane and hurt everyone around them. Like how do you watch his body of work and not realize that’s his honest worldview
wasn’t planning on sleeping tonight
the mom lore runs deep with Ari Aster. i realize that most people have a complicated relationship with the people who raised them but it always seems to be at the base of his movies, creating a stimulus.
this dude sure knows his way around a dysfunctional family.
fun fact: He also wrote "Strange things about the Johnson" short flim
Watching this in bed, 3 in the morning in dead silence with only the occasional passing of a car outside my window on a mild night in England. This is great!!
Lynch’s magnum Opus
The first 10 seconds is important
Made in 1968, only a few minutes long... remains one of the scariest things I've ever seen!
This short is about six men getting sick
Idk about you but this guy’s not getting my vote.
Groovy
On a more mundane note, I never heard the alphabet song sung “…..t u AND v….,” but always just “t u v…….”
