I almost picked some of these up the other day and then put them back. Now that I see what you can do with them I will have to try them! Your Work is beautiful as always!!! I have learned so much from you and mt art style has really grown since I found you. Keep up the good work!
I love the clown fish! I got a set of 12 pigment markers for Christmas and I can't wait till I get the paper to work with them!!! I prefer cold weather over warm!!!
Was doing a bit of coloring with my markers in one of those 'adult' coloring books when I remembered see a video you did on the W&N pigment makers. (tiger) I had picked a couple of them up on clearance at Hobby lobby so while I was coloring I got them out and played with them a bit. Needless to say they didn't blend at all in the coloring book and I don't have any Yupo paper. I went back to HL and discovered that they had a bunch of these markers on clearance, so I bought a few more. I love how they blend and will be purchasing some Yupo paper in the near future. You videos are great!
Hi Lisa, i am from the Philippines! So i haven't really experienced cold weather. I always watch your videos and i have learned a lot. I've made a couple of projects and some friends and family loved them. Thank you! I recently just turned 12 years old. I wonder if there are kids my age among your subscribers.
Lachri Fine Art wow you replied! And you like orchids! My grandma loves them as well, she grows them too! If only you're near i will gift you a couple of them. I will go to your website and post some of my projects, let you see how i have learned from you.
I love this piece and I love that you are doing some mixed media too! I am in Texas too and we've gone from the low 20's to the 70's in a 3 day period, so I getcha on the weather! LOL I prefer warm weather for everything but especially for art because I like my hands to be warm and I hate having to layer clothes to keep from being all shivery! Heheheh.
I live in Australia and at the moment it's summer and very very hot, so yeah much prefer cooler weather. With regards to the markers, if you get the chance to try the Faber-Castell Pitt marker pens with pencils can you please do a tutorial on how you went. I have been playing around with this combination and I have had some success, but also some misses with it.
Not at the moment but I'm sure I will have some soon!

We're going to face cold temperatures here in the next few days. Not sure it will get cold enough for snow, though, or even if we will get any cloud whatsoever. Last time it snowed in here was....12 years ago, I believe? Being from south Portugal, I'm kind of used to warm sunny weather lol. it does get chilly during winter, but nothing compared to other places. On the otehr hand, summers are extremly hot and dry in here. Anyway, great job with the markers! I'm loving to see what you can do with them :D
Since these markers are water soluble and made with pigment, would you consider them watercolor markers? I've found they blend okay into wet paper, any type, but don't blend on dry paper unless it's coated paper, they work on the shiny side of poster board. Are they water color markers or not?
Hi Lisa, amazing video as always you're such a wonderful artist!! Going back through some of your videos while your sick. Hope you're doing much better now.❤️ When you start back doing your videos I would like for you to use Spectrum Noir Markers, and see what you think about them Please. Thank you so much for sharing your talent, and helping us out.
Lisa, this looks so much (almost too much) fun for you. I do have a question. You mentioned that it is light fast, but not permanent. Is there a way to 'FIX' the image after the work is complete. Have you tried a spray clear coat or fixative? If not, try it on a test item so that the next time you use these you can share this information. Thanks for all you do.
Yes, just like getting a colored pencil piece could ruin the paper it was drawn on or the same with graphite work. Ideally, people purchasing original art will be protective of the work. Keeping this behind glass would be a must for me.
I've lived in Seattle 8 years now after growing up in the Midwest. I know the temperature isn't as cold here as other places, but I swear I've lost my tolerance for below freezing weather and snow. (The same with heat too, though.)
It's funny how quickly we adjust, I remember living in southern CA and thinking 55F was the most horrid cold ever. Now after being in Texas for a while, anything above 40 and I'm not too bad.
Really like this look Lisa! Will this wipe off? Should it be under glass? Is yupo paper the same almost as drafting film? So many questions. Lol. PS. Meant to tell you that you looked adorable in the charcoal portrait review. Just adorable!!
When you say colorless blender, which one? From a color pencil set or one made for the pigment markers? Technically a water color colorless blender is water.
I always love your videos. Making my way through your channel is becoming quite the addiction. 😊 Have you ever worked with ph martins concentrated watercolors? Would love to see you paint with them so I can learn how better to use them. =) 💕 Your teaching style really resonates with me. Thanks for all you do!
We don't get too much of that here in Texas. We generally jump from winter to summer in a weekend. Today was in the upper 70s though and it's pretty warm tonight so it's been a wonderful break!!
I live in North Carolina and the weather is fickle as fudge! Two or three days ago it was snowing now it feels comfortable XD. The summers are blistering hot and the winters are always freezing. I can't stand cold or warm weather, I'm more of a cool and foggy type person XD
Lisa, your so cute...you make me laugh. Thanks for another great video. Use to live in Michigan, loved all the season changes.....ha....Florida girl now.....yep...it can be freezing one day and 3 days later you have to turn the air on.....crazy!
When I lived in SoCal, we used to go up to big bear to play in the snow for about an hour. That was about all I could handle lol. Of course, I typically had nothing warmer than my typical CA clothing of a sweatshirt and jeans so that didn't help.
Ya I hate the snow I loved it at first few years, now I hate it is cold and when it melts it turns black and muddy its snowing right now all day today UHHHH! Big Bear Big deal RIGHT? hehehe
Warm weather is bad because my hands get sweaty and it can get on the paper, and I get really tired easily. Cold weather is bad because my hands freeze and they will hurt if I don't pause much. Overall, I prefer the cold because I can still draw with gloves if its reeeeally bad. Can't do much about heat.
I hate cold weather. Anyone with arthritis knows the joint pain and poor flexibility occurs with the lower temperatures. Warmer temperatures makes it easier for me to draw. And during that time I'm typically obsessed... Who needs sleep?
a lot of respect for you being able to create something like this with those markers! they gave me a hard time x'D
Once I figured out I could blend them with my fingers I loved working with them! :D
I almost picked some of these up the other day and then put them back. Now that I see what you can do with them I will have to try them! Your Work is beautiful as always!!! I have learned so much from you and mt art style has really grown since I found you. Keep up the good work!
Beautiful work as always Lisa!! Love the bright colors! As far as weather I prefer the warm. A couple weeks ago here in MN we had -51 wind chills!
I love the clown fish! I got a set of 12 pigment markers for Christmas and I can't wait till I get the paper to work with them!!!
I prefer cold weather over warm!!!
You're going to have so much fun!!

Absolutely beautiful art Lisa, you're so talented.x
Wonderful! You answered all my questions as you went thru the video. This looks like a really exciting use of mixed media!
:D
Love your work Lisa!! Yup love the warm weather in Sydney passed couple of days it's been 104!!!!
Cold weather for me! I can layer up to keep warm...but when its hot you can only go skin deep+that is not far enough sometimes! ;)

My orchids want to come live with you lol. I know for sure that I've got subscribers your age. Some have even submitted questions and critiques! :D

I love love love your paintings, the clownfishs look amazing
Thanks :)

I've got some of those around here somewhere, they are definitely not for me! I was terrible with them lol.
Well Lisa, as you tell us every tutorial and live stream - you just gotta keep practicing!! :-)
Those are interesting, might try them. Great video
They really are fun :D
Vary cool! I'd really like to try markers but I'm not sure what to get. Ty so much for all the videos! Any new surreal work in the making?
Not at the moment but I'm sure I will have some soon!

Prefer cool weather, it can easily get over 100 here in North central AZ, so I like spring and fall best!
Love the painting!!
YOUR ART ROCK

Did you have to wait for the markers dry before you went over with pencils?
Lisa, is there a way to "fix" or seal an underlying layer with these markers/paper?
Not that I'm aware of.
wow great job lisa your owning this medium
Thanks! :D
Urick Mann.

Amazing job!! I actually prefer cold weather over warm...
Unacceptable! We can't be friends! :P
Well, I actually started my Art Channel in spanish, which means some day I will be your spanish male competition, so yeah we can't :P XD j.k.
i could on;y find a set of 36 on amazon do they make larger sets or do you have to buy open stock

I've heard the back of regular marker paper would work with these, too, because of the coating :)
That would be much cheaper, maybe worth a try?
so if you sell one of these and the owner gets the paper wet, will it ruin the image? warm weather i'm from SoTex and I prefer hot weather
Yes, just like getting a colored pencil piece could ruin the paper it was drawn on or the same with graphite work. Ideally, people purchasing original art will be protective of the work. Keeping this behind glass would be a must for me.
thanks for getting back so quickly

Yes, if you wiped it with water it would come off. It should be behind glass for sure! No, this has a very different feel from drafting film. :D
When you say colorless blender, which one? From a color pencil set or one made for the pigment markers? Technically a water color colorless blender is water.
It's one of the markers by the same brand/type I'm using.
I have not, I do want to get some watercolor pencils though!
Do you still recommend these pigment markers? Do you still use them?
I prefer the weather to be just right not to cold and not to hot! :)
We don't get too much of that here in Texas. We generally jump from winter to summer in a weekend. Today was in the upper 70s though and it's pretty warm tonight so it's been a wonderful break!!
loved the video...
just moved to St Pete Florida from NYC area because I'm not lovin' the cold OR snow anymore 😆
I'm jealous! I've only been to Florida once but I LOVED the weather. I'm a huge fan of humidity.
I live in North Carolina and the weather is fickle as fudge! Two or three days ago it was snowing now it feels comfortable XD. The summers are blistering hot and the winters are always freezing. I can't stand cold or warm weather, I'm more of a cool and foggy type person XD
I think I would prefer warm and foggy. I do like the fog though :P
Lisa, your so cute...you make me laugh. Thanks for another great video. Use to live in Michigan, loved all the season changes.....ha....Florida girl now.....yep...it can be freezing one day and 3 days later you have to turn the air on.....crazy!
I like cold AND warm weather. Btw, what part of Texas?
I'll take warm weather that's when I'll get out and go to the gym, the fibromyalga and arthritis is not as bad as it is in the winter months
I agree! I gain so much weight each winter because I stop going on walks. I just can't deal with the cold!
I live in Big Bear Calif. It snows here and I hate it!!!! I too have a problem with matching gloves hehehe wearing two different glove is ok...
Big Bear Big deal RIGHT? hehehe
Warm weatherr 💪💪
That is the right answer! :P
Lachri Fine Art xD :P
I got a member ship to graphic stock pictures, but Pixabay and pexels have the best pictures.
Well I'm no artist but I prefer warm. I like the feel of my pencils on paper when they are slightly warm.
If you use pencils and paper you are an artist!
Hm, that's all relative. But it's nice to be reminded that there is little right or wrong about art. I just love colour and the feel of paper.
I would loan you my gloves...but apparently I don't have any matches :P
cold weather rocks
The price of the materials - lol! I'd have to sell a kidney just to buy the pencils!!!
I hate cold weather. Anyone with arthritis knows the joint pain and poor flexibility occurs with the lower temperatures. Warmer temperatures makes it easier for me to draw. And during that time I'm typically obsessed... Who needs sleep?
One more reason cold weather is bad!
I hope your pets are warm. One of those gloves could easily serve as a winter coat for baby chicken :)
HAHA they are. Studio Assistant's #1 & #2 have more sweaters than I have...by far!
HaHa love your glove collection
new sub!
cold weather
try finding matching gloves for small children *sigh*
I can't even imagine!!
