    I was in the Marines from 1963 to 1969 and i worked on the real F-8E that has the number ( 150852 ) on the tail fin , it is so cool to see Eddie build this mode, cause it brings back fond memories of my time in the Marine Air Wing. I was in Beaufort South Carolina. Wish i had that model, but i am not very good with kits.

    Details are fabulous. It reminds me of an F-8 displayed in Nat’l Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, Florida!

    Very impressive! One of my all-time favorite birds. These videos always give my nephew and me ideas for our next builds. If only the result was as professional looking! But, hey, half the fun is seeing the progress from kit to kit (for me at least!)

      You’re right. Obsession with the result drains me and makes this wonderful hobby a horrible labor. Sitting back a little and having fun with watching it progress leisurely really helps me stay with and enjoy this great hobby. 😊

    Outstanding aircraft used by the french Fleet Air Arm until 1999. I feel that the panels boundaries and the screws are too much visible on the fuselage. At least not like the one belonging to the 12F/14F flotillas. Of course when they were painted in "white".

    Sort of a random question; Do you paint figures as well as models? My friend and I do some table top gaming (him more so than me) and he has always been a very artistic fellow whose models always look great. I was wondering if you did, would have any tips or recommendations for us? ie., are there any things you've learned over the years to help speed things up or make the process simpler? I imagine there would be some overlap between models and miniatures! Cheers!

    • @EddiesGarage
      @EddiesGarage  3 роки тому

      I’m not that familiar with figure painting. I just know its simple basic skills and have applied them on my couple of figures. I believe this youtube channel would be helpful for you. Their how to build and paint clips have been very helpful for me. 😊👉🏻ua-cam.com/users/GamesWorkshopWNT

    • @EddiesGarage
      @EddiesGarage  3 роки тому

    • @EddiesGarage
      @EddiesGarage  3 роки тому +1

      @@edstud1 The work from 04:32 of the video shows how I accentuated the panel lines. My work process is base painting ➡️ decal applying ➡️ gloss or semigloss clear coating for decal protection ➡️ panel line accentuating ➡️ additional weathering ➡️ clear coating for weathering effect protection. I hope this comment will help you with the question. 😊
