I use 4x4 concrete posts with a single 1/2" rebar as the center of pitaya trellises and have found cracking in high wind to be a problem and cause of failure. Applying surface bonding cement that has a lot of fiber adds a lot of strength but also a lot of cost. A friend suggested that a rusting rebar may be the CAUSE of cracking and suggested I skip the rebar and use extra fiber instead. Suggestions?
Just copy what we made. Triangle stirrups can be welded to the 3 vertical bars. Make sure also that the rebar has concrete cover. This posts of ours, usually delivered to remote areas with worst roads. We never have problems with cracks or bending. Customers were happy lol

Quite labor-intensive and time consuming po ang paraan nyo. Sana mag invest kayo nang mga equipment like mixer, moulds (quality forms), vibrator and applicators para quality, mapabilis and efficient yong paggawa ng mga poste nyo.
Used oil yan galing sa mga truck kung nagpa palit sila ng engine oil. Mainam at matipid yan gamitin bilang lube para hindi dumikit at madaling matanggal ang concrete sa mould niya
Rather than tying the steel with triangles couldn’t you simply put a layer of concrete then place a bar then lay more concrete and lay the next 2 bars and cover then with the last layer to save time, as the triangles are used to hold the bars in place and have no real purpose for reinforcement.
Hey magnificent job, however you shouldn't have spent so much time taking videos during concrete mixing, highlights are just ok and then go to the next part so that it can be more furn wachin your videos, thanks a lot
Sir/Maam regarding sa horizontal bars, okay lang pong gawin nyo is to divide ang length into equal parts pra cost effective. 5 or 6 ties pwede na since hindi po ito load bearing ang purpose. Kailangan talaga may horizontal bars kasi prone sya sa bending. Kapag bibili po kayo dito sa Pinas ng ready made, gawin nyo pong usisain ang maker/seller anong rebars at ilan ang nilagay nila. Pera nyo po yun kaya may karapatan kayo magtanong. Kasi kung walang proper rebars, sa trucking or byahe pa lang po bended or cracked na agad yung nabiling poste
7mm rsb pwede ring 8mm rsb. Huwag na anything bigger than that kasi hindi na cost effective. Tsaka yung gravel 3/4 hindi na kasya kasi hindi sila nakakalusot
Hindi po ako gumagamit ng feet. Pero usually gamit namin is 2m height na poste lang. In feet, 6.5feet na po yun. Dito sa atin, 6m po ang length ng isang rebar. So cost effective po kapag 2m ang cutting ng bakal. Sa 6.5ft or 2m na poste, pwede na dyan yung 5ft height na hog wire or cyclone wire (2inches or 4inches na butas - depende sa purpose). Sana po nakatulong

Hi! 24hrs is enough. We usually make these in the morning. Then the next day it will come loose just make sure to oil the forms before casting

If with lube, this wooden planks can last making 100s of posts before getting deteriorated. Also it is very easy to dismantle and will not stick
