The River Fish has really sucked so I decided to go to Busch Lake 33 to try my luck. Didn't get too many fish, but the one I got was huge.

Love it. Took my daughter to the exact spot you were at beginning of video for crappie last month. Caught a ton that day but all smallies.
Ironically I heard about flatheads there and have been trying to get out there with your identical strategy.

Yeah, the crappies in #33 are small. Haven’t found a good crappie spot in stl yet.

I actually brought my net out with me this morning and got skunked. I was fishing for carp with corn. I suppose I should use one rod with corn and the other with nightcrawlers but I'm too lazy to go to the bait shop
Nice man I've heard stories about lake 33 but never seen one like that I've never ever caught one that big in the Mississippi blues yeah but not flathead

you should come out on my decked out Jon boat with me sometime and we can hopefully get some nice fish on Mendota or Monona. I'm going out Friday but not sure where. the cats should be in the Cherokee marsh right?
I've been trying to catch a flathead there for a while. Caught a few channels and a little blue cat, but no flatheads.
Do they really close the gate at 10pm there?
