「雪墨」第95回地歌ライブ記念公演 "Yukisumi", the 95th Jiuta Live

本公演は、「雪墨」と題して2019年10月27日紀尾井ホールで開催した第95回地歌ライブ記念公演です。

本公演の全4曲の中からの2曲「黒髪」「乱輪舌」は、このUA-camチャンネルですでに公開中ですが、今回、文化庁EPADの助成を受けて全公演の映像公開を致しました。

「古典の覚醒」：公演企画意図
「雪墨」は白銀と墨痕を端的に表す言葉で、真っ白な新雪の上に落とした墨が滲んでいくように「古典と現代」、「様式と自由」、「東洋と西洋」など対極にあるものが出会い、それぞれの輪郭がやがて溶融した果てに、本来の姿がはっきり浮かび上がってくることをイメージしての命名です。
古典は今も輝き続けています。
「雪墨」は、新たな角度から古典の真価と可能性に光を当てることを意図して企画しました。佐藤允彦さんはこの私の思いを遥かに超えた素晴らしい音の世界を描き出し、その際立って美しいピアノに「古典の魅力」が導き出されていることを感じました。
幾世紀にもわたる年月を、ひと筋の美しい糸のように途切れることなく、培われ、育まれ、磨かれてきた古典が持つ、聴く者の心を捉えて離さない繊細で多彩で豊かな情感に溢れた表現を、皆様の心に届けられますことを心から願っています。

''Awakening the classics'' Akiko Fujimoto (Jiuta and koto performer)
Yukisumi is a word that conjures up the image of silvery white colour
and calligraphic black ink marks. The name occurred to me as an image to
represent the encounter between contrasting pairs such as classical and
contemporary idioms, form and freedom, and East and West, and at the
same time as an image that would highlight the distinctive features of
each of these categories once their outlines had fused together.
The Japanese classical repertoire continues today to emit its radiance.
I planned this project, Yukisumi, as both of concert and CD album with the idea of shedding light on the value and potential of the classical repertoire from a new angle. Masahiko Satō has created a sound world far superior to anything that I could have imagined, and I feel that his beautiful pianism has brought out and enhanced the attractiveness of this repertoire.
The classical Jiuta repertoire is one that has been fostered and polished without a break over several centuries like a beautiful silken thread. Its musical language is one full of richly varied and sensitive expression that captivates the spirit of the attentive listener. I hope most sincerely that the music will find its way into the hearts of all who listen to it.
