@MAXXEDOUTRANS You doin it bro. Your family and those that come after you. Will benefit from the blueprint that your creating. I hope to do the same, with my truck company. Start with 1, work my butt off. Put God 1st, and see what other blessings he has in store for me.
Also do yourself a favor and mount your tag to the bumper. Having it in the window actually increases your chances of getting pulled around for an inspection. At least in Mississippi it does.
Lot's of good info Bennii! I still haven't bought a trailer yet and want to see how the market goes before making that leap. Originally planned on a step deck, but at my age (63), an RGN would be easier work. But like you said, you have to have the loads to cover the higher cost of the trailer. From what I hear, it sounds like there's more work for a straight flatbed now so maybe a cheap older FB may be the way for me to go. No 10' drop tarps for me though, my 72 Lb. 8' drop tarps are heavy enough!
This is called a mechanical RGN swing plates, removable collars etc.. set up with multiple anchor mounts along the side. It looks like a 10 inch frame. Cool set up
Federal excise tax is usually imposed on the sale of things like fuel, airline tickets, heavy trucks and highway tractors, indoor tanning, tires, tobacco and other goods and services.
Yep an easy one to solve. Some dot will use little details like that to inspect you. Another one they get you on is failing to lock an articulating machine in the pivot area either with the oem lock bar or chains.
Those jakes sure sounded good, but I don't want to shut them off every time I go down a hill into a little town that has those "No engine brake" signs. I only shut them off for heavy rain or snow.
I know you have a good intentions showing others how do stuff , The reason I don't show in YT my business is because one day I uploaded one short video and the next day I have like 1 thousand questions how they can get in my industry. I know those guys asking was not from USA I deleted the freaking video ..
I believe the FET tax is a tax that is based on the capacity of the load. You can derate the trailer to avoid the tax but you forfeit your ability to hail the big loads. So it’s based on the number of axles and their load rating.
with 6 axle you should scale out 112,000lbs. i do 13axle now when i was doing 35ton RGN 2 axle yrs ago i could scale out 92,000lbs gross weight. You mean Federal Excise Tax (FET) LOL Would have been better off with a 50x50 parachute tarp
From a Swedes point of view this looks weird. Dont you guys use hydraulic steering axles in North America? Maybe they are too expensive, and also, in the US all the roads are sooo much bigger, so I guess it is not needed in the same way.
Yeah if you dropped multiple times a day a mechanical would be horrible. To run across country mayBe from ports to dealerships and such they ain’t bad.
Wow, I remember you riding with your dad in pickup trucks. Proud of you man come a long way. Thanks for explaining and keeping it 💯🦾
Props to all the youngsters, in the game. They're carving a footprint in the business. And making a legacy. So props to you and your queen. God bless.

I recognize that tunnel anywhere, you came right through my neck of the woods P-Town aka Portsmouth.
Benni, make sure to put something between your chains to keep them from rubbing together. It's also a DOT violation..be safe...

Federal excise tax is nothing related to the load capacity of the trailer
What kind of cb do you use outside of the truck?
Federal Excise Tax is an additional tax imposed on certain goods by the federal govt.
