    So I have a 2016 golf r and mine would spin the tires like your car does when you launch it. Turns out my AWD system was messed up. That may be something you wanna get checked out. Mine is stage two 93 eqtuning and doesnt spin at all when launching now. (I could be wrong but wanted to mention it just in case) nice video btw!

      I can't attest to the Cobb or EQT tunes but I'm on Uni 1+ w/ only TIP and my "butt dyno" tells me it's a good .5 sec faster to 60 vs. stock! (MK7.5 DSG)

    • @netcruzer

      That will be in a future video about Launch Control. Since I now have Cobb LC in ECU tune + EQT LC in the DSG tune there are a lot of launch options for test-n-tune. It’s definitely faster than stock but it’s more about getting increased clutch clamp force and faster sharper shifts with the transmission tune.

      No you need the one AP. You need the one with DSG to flash TCU and ECU. Get it from EQT you’ll save a bit on a tune with it.

    Someone would need to explain to me why I wouldn’t want to feel the shifting? At that point wouldn’t feel like a single speed CVT? Wouldn’t you WANT a motorsports feel to your shift points?

    • @netcruzer
      @netcruzer  4 роки тому +2

      You do get a very fast crisp shift you feel if you are accelerating quickly with this DSG tune. During normal cruising the shifts happen very smooth and it’s so well rev matched you hear them more than feel them. Closest thing to this ive used is a PDK. You really shouldn’t feel a big jerk when it changes gear, just a quick shift/snarl/fart type noise during moderate acceleration.

    • @jasonblevins9327
      @jasonblevins9327 4 роки тому +5

      What is the benefit of feeling the shifts when cruising at low percentage throttle or when coasting up to a light and the car is downshifting. The whole point of a DSG is to be able to shift auto and manual. For me, ideally in drive, when low percentage throttle and especially when decelerating, feeling very smooth and invisible shifts would be great. Then when you kick it to sport mode or manual mode, hard crisp shifts would be awesome. Seems like Ed and EQT nailed it in my book.
