Fantastic guides man, really appreciate the rotation breakdowns and proper explanations of talents. Feeling a tad overwhelmed as a returning player and I'm looking to tank in Dragonflight.
I agree with what was said here; it's nice to hear a positive spin on Guardian in pre-patch. Bear doesn't feel terrible. It doesn't feel great though. I hope this is addressed as things progress in the expansion, but bear will remain my main.
You say don't use Maul if it means losing an iron fur stack, but If you have a Tooth and Claw proc in single target, isn't it about the same DR as an iron fur, but with alot of added damage?
Yes, for the most part. Ironfur will provide more damage reduction for the Rage cost than an empowered Maul, but only against physical damage. It can be a bit of a risk to let Ironfur drop, but if you're covering that gap up with Tooth and Claw, the risk isn't that big. It's a moment-to-moment judgment call. Definitely an option for players who feel very comfortable with the class. Tooth and Claw applies to all damage types, so If you're only taking spell damage, it is 100% better, of course. If you're taking a mix of both, it's close enough to pretty much always justify going for more damage. Ideally, if you're tanking something that's a little difficult, you'll be able to pool enough Rage that you can have Ironfur up and still use T&C procs, but it doesn't always work out that way.
Hey, can you share the addon you’re using for nameplates on enemies and if it’s an addon with the ability to share the profile, post the link so I could import it and check it out?
Plater has way more customizability. It's stronger, but it consumes more resources, and has a lot more setup involved with getting it functioning. The ability to recolor frames for specific purposes is really good. It's a great addon if you're willing to spend the time learning it, but it can be pretty overwhelming. Threatplates is way easier to get rolling from a fresh install, and the base functionality it offers is pretty much all that most players will ever need. Both are really good, it's just a matter of what you want and how much time you want to spend setting them up!
Absolutely, you should prioritize Ironfur over Tooth and Claw. Tooth and Claw procs are very low-priority any time you are tanking more than one enemy. They're okay in single-target as long as they don't cost you Ironfur uptime, but that is pretty much it. It's arguably still worth taking over the Layered Mane-Reinforced Fur path in the middle of the tree because you can get the Layered Mane conduit instead, but neither option is all that great. Tooth and Claw can at least have some value against bosses in raids and M+.
I'm gonna be honest, I was gonna main warrior or DH, but after seeing the buffs I am tempted to main my bear. Gotta wipe the dust off of it though since it hasn't seen use since Legion. LOL
Thanks for the video. Is your nameplate pater or something else? They look great, but I can't find a mention of those in your UI video? Could you share your profile for those?
Bear seems fine in prepatch PvP: 240k hp, immortal, CC immune, can blast Moonfire and 1-2 melee abilities to 2-3 shot any class sub 100k hp. It's just silly.
Tank PvP is usually horrendously broken in one direction or another. Bears tend to be unkillable monsters a lot more often than the rest -- but only in PvP.
I just made a guardian druid, along with a couple other tank classes, to 60 with the xp buffs this week. I'm wondering what Heart of the Wild is even good for??? Could you explain please?!!?!!!
When you use it, it buffs your off-spec abilities for the rest of the time it's active. If you're Bear, it will buff your Moonfire damage (even in Bear Form). It will also buff any of your caster form heals, like Rejuv, Regrowth, etc. That's pretty much it!
That is pretty much what they did in the early phases of Alpha, and before they shuffled the tree around, it was really, really strong. Just throw it back in the blender, it'll probably come out great!
Can you explain irinfur? How many do I need up at a time? I can usually only have one but can add more at times. How essential is more then one at a time? Also can you explain not having covenants and legendarys? My question is once dragonflight starts aren’t those disabled? I can’t see spending time getting those if they will go away in a month or am I wrong and they will still be usable at 70? For instance the current legendarys will still be best in slot at 70 or after 1 month after being 70? I guess I’m saying is I’m a returning player and do I need to get these to be effective at 70+?
Covenants and Legendaries will only work in Shadowlands content, so if you want to have them for the next month, sure, you should work on them. Otherwise, they won't be a source of lasting power. For Ironfur, you always want to maintain at least one stack at a time. You can stack up more than one if you have the Rage and you feel like you're taking a lot of damage, but it's not necessary most of the time.
That's right, they changed it with this week's reset. The talent tree in-game is a bit different from the video, but the talent trees in the pinned comment are updated. You want to prioritize getting the Moonfire talents, as they provide a lot of damage and Rage generation!
Cat has made an incredible turnaround with 10.0, from one of the worst specs in Shadowlands to one of the best, most fun in Dragonflight. Druid's looking good!

Guardian is about to get a nerf in pvp at least. Probably in a hot fix.

Thanks for watching our video!
Yeah had a buddy end a mythic plus run hitting 30k moonfires and doing 15 mil with moonfire over all which was 50% of his damage lol
Sounds right!

Love the tanking build found it very helpful. Good video.

What about Tooth and Claw procs? Should we prio Iron Fur uptime over that proc? That part wasn't clear during rotation section

It's Threatplates, and you can find the profile here: pastebin.com/hQNYmPnC
so if i could pick and my focus lays on high level mythics and heroic raiding.. do i play warrior, druid or DH?
That's the difficult question! Mythic+ Tier List video coming out next, should hopefully answer it!
@@WoWatNight ah sure.. I'm just scared of druid since u feel like it's 10x harder then warrior lol

Ty for the vid. Compared to complex Brewmaster in 10.0, this seems simple but effective is how I’d put it.
That's a great way to think about it, for sure.

obv no one cares but rogue has 3point talents too, not just druid
We know rogues have feelings too.
They should change some weird place of Talents than It's fine, defensive talents are very hard to take

Big time!
My single target dmg spec is more burst. Like I see 10k-12k Mauls.
That's pretty bursty!
Ass Rogue has 3 point talents too :P and quite a few as well
=P
Mage tower build?
