I have been racing 10th and 8th scale for over 20 years...first trip with this truck was to the track.
It over performed,the e buggy guys were all impressed with the fact it could hold its line in traffic and made the jumps with out a problem...everyone was googling it after the first run.....when they seen arrma on it,they were all blown away...
You are 100% right about the body coming off issue. Every video I have seen where there is an issue with the body coming off, is because they are pulling from the front and rear causing tension on the mounting posts.I have not once had it get stuck.

Perfect review! Just as good as it gets on shortcourse truck category. I own a (completely modded M2C) Fireteam, DB-Pro, LMT and this Mojave is my go-to vehicle. Arrma just set the standerd with this one.
I’ve been out of the RC Bashing scene for a good few years now as I got really into the crawler side of the hobby, but this release and your videos on it have convinced me to get back into bashing 👍🏻

I had a Bigrock 3S and I see the Mojave 4S has some parts in the steering system that are the same. The servo saver, composite pivot balls and some other parts. The Big Rock was not easy to drive straight and after some bashing the steering got looser. I had to replace some pivot balls and get a stronger servo saver. So I am a bit skeptical to the Mojave 4S steering system. Would like to see a new steering system, but maybe it is ok and last longer with this car? But I really like this car and love how the short course cars move 🙂

i have acquired the parts to make my Outcast 4S V2 and my Typhon 3S center diffed, and i'm not offended. :) this IS the best RC of the year.

Hey bud don’t know if you ever drove the TA pro4 sc10 but I make this one backflip on 3s and it handles really well in the air too. Nice informative video as always keep it up please 🤘🤘🤘
Great truck, a surprising release from Arrma but well received! Can we expect to see a 4S Big Rock? Let's hope! 🤞 I would like to see a better steering setup and threaded shocks (I mean, ride height clips - come on!). Thanks for the review, I think Arrma has a winner on it's hands! And I'm always glad when it's not another 6s or 8s release (great trucks but my wallet can't take it, lol!).

So I have the Mojave exb and it’s a great truck, and apart from its tendency to strip out the wheel hubs I’ve had few problems with it. But I find it drives so much better on 4s than 6s! I’m not sure of the price here in the U.K. as I haven’t checked it but have Arrma shot themselves in the foot here by producing a cheaper better truck than the original Mojave? Nice video.

yes ! use in 7.4 or just 6 volts for the servo ? i like my hobao 8sc, with aluminium parts really good to drive, with an unbreakable body and big wheels look like mojave 6s, 3diff, 6s.
now i'm happy to buy the mojave 4s, i think like you in this catégorie will be a good basher, for a race i think hobao is better !
Are you experiencing a vibration in the drivetrain as well? It seems to dissapear at a certain speed. I already did try to shim the wheels, did’t do much… i’m concerned it will have an effect on the shafts/bearings

Whhat runtime are you getting from the batteries?
Is there big issues getting of the body?
I had the 2nd gen senton 6s and it put me off short course trucks - it didnt handle as well as buggies and got dirt everywhere on the chassis. The mojave in contrast handles like a dream and soaks up the bumps - although somehow a ton of dirt/leaves/grass still gets into the chassis from the wide rear opening, so im not sure if the chassis cover helps much at all as all the junk just gets stuck on there...hope there will be an aftermarket solution soon. I would like to add led lights but overall its almost perfect! Hope they release a typhon 4s soon.
Ya sct always got very dirty my new 4s Mojave on shelf 😂😂, I too want add lights ect , and I’m going run today in the street not my yard track because I want keep it newish , I have Mojave 6s on bench I trash that in yard , fun truck but I end up blowing diffs on the larger arrmas , now I had diffs on a good run and snapped a axle , it was time to go through bearing s ect anyway
We want 8s typhon 😂 the 6s typhon probably my favorite rc , I can run that car daily like no other , the maxx “ but that truck can’t hang performance wise .
Look at razor truck here that’s handful of runs , imagine after fifty runs , than is worth rebuilding? Arrma are great but everything wears out faster better they drive faster they wear out 😂
Yep they stopped parachute 🪂 effects by sealing body around the chassis and interior
@@RcPlayer-tt2vw3s typhon is my favorite rc - handles more like 1/10 4wd buggies but can handlentue bumps and jumps. My 6s typhon is crazy fast but the weight is not as well managed I feel.
Hey man you said this is the best short course truck you’ve tested or something close to that. I was thinking about either this or the Tekno SCT 410 2.0 Have you tried that truck and which would you prefer? And I realize that’s a kit and everything that goes with that But I always appreciate your reviews and honesty!!! 👍

@nathanwirth9906 Hey Nathan, he did say the Mojave is his favorite 1/8 scale. The Tekno is 1/10 and a totally different beast. The Mojave is a basher, the Tekno a race truck, and scale dramatically impacts performance. So, really not comparable and it depends on your intended use but maybe he will chime in and give you his feedback! 👍
Really cool car and video, I wanted to ask how do you manage to keep small rocks out of the central driveshaft surroundings? I just got an arra granite and after my 3rd battery the central driveshaft was cut, I think a rock caused it. How to keep them away? Thanks you and sorry if the question is obvious, I’m new to the hobby
you can get the aluminum driveshaft from RC4WD. or you can get a chassis net cover. or just avoid driving in gravel, which is what I do.

I bought my wife this. She really enjoys it, but has 2 little niggles. The battery tray she says could be 5mm bigger, and cannot switch on/off without removing the body. I myself thinks it's a fantastic truck. Worth every penny!
idk if u already did this but i think you can remove the little battery tray limiter thing
@viNcENtttt If I take that out, she'll be liberating my big a$$ batteries! It's the 5000mah she struggles to get in freely.
Having to take the body off to shut it down is a deal break imo

I just sold my Mojave 4s , 2 chassis broken . I'd recommend the 6s version but nice review .

BOOO on that radio. Should come with the DX-3, like most of the other Arrma offerings. How'd you do that with the speed controller!? I wonder though, with that radio with no telemetry, does it even matter if you don't have telemetry now? I'd LOVE to ditch that dumb annoying 2nd connector on my cars too! Cool video. Why's it look like the wheelbase of the truck is too small for the body in your shots? Looks weird.
I think the Kagama takes that title. The mojave is very good but it falls short in versatility which is a really important category.
For sure. Lots of good choices -- the Gorgon, Promoto-X too. I tried to pick something that was ground-breaking and redefined the class, and I think the Mojave does things that no other SCT has before.
@@RazorRC who knows maybe some new amazing thing will come out between now and the end of the year and we'll both be wrong :-)
Question is, would it be worth saving a bit more for the 6S?
If I was a single guy and had to make the choice between eating top ramen and buying RC trucks or eating regular food and no RC then I'd be a happy ramen eating fool.
If you havent broke anything then its a Five Star Truck i watch your videos and you kill your trucks but its a Blast have fun

No, not the best ,outcast 8s big rock and redcat machete 2023, but 4s line up yeah
I think the machete needs a bit of updating before it's perfect imo. The center driveshaft needs to be changed so it doesn't twist. But other than that it's really impressive for the price.
